ADE7978ACPZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADE7978, the ADE7933/ADE7932, and ADE7923 form achipset dedicated to measuring 3-phase electrical energy usingshunts as current sensors. The ADE7933/ADE7932 are isolated, 3-channel sigma-deltaanalog-to-digital converters (Σ-Δ ADCs) for polyphase energymetering applications that use shunt current sensors.TheADE7923 is a nonisolated, 3-channel Σ-Δ ADC for the neutral linethat uses a shunt current sensor. The ADE7932 features two ADCs,and the ADE7933 and ADE7923 feature three ADCs.One channel is dedicated to measuring the voltage across theshunt when a shunt is used for current sensing. This channelprovides a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 67 dB over a 3.3 kHzsignal bandwidth. Up to two additional channels are dedicatedto measuring voltages, which are usually sensed using resistordividers. The unused voltage channels on the neutral ADE7923 can beused for auxiliary voltage measurements. These channels providean SNR of 75 dB over a 3.3 kHz signal bandwidth. One voltagechannel can be used to measure the temperature of the die viaan internal sensor. The ADE7933 and ADE7923 include three channels: onecurrent channel and two voltage channels. The ADE7932includes one current channel and one voltage channel, but isotherwise identical to the ADE7933.The ADE7933/ADE7932 include isoPower®, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based on the Analog Devices, Inc.,iCoupler® technology, the dc-to-dc converter provides theregulated power required by the first stage of the ADCs at a3.3 V input supply. The ADE7933/ADE7932 eliminate the needfor an external dc-to-dc isolation block. The iCoupler chip scaletransformer technology is used to isolate the logic signalsbetween the first and second stages of the ADC. The result is asmall form factor, total isolation solution. The ADE7923 is thenonisolated version of the ADE7933 that can be used forneutral current measurement when isolation from the neutralline is not required. The ADE7933/ADE7932 and ADE7923 contain a digital interfacethat is specially designed to interface with the ADE7978. Usingthis interface, the ADE7978 accesses the ADC outputs andconfiguration settings of the ADE7933/ADE7932 andADE7923.The ADE7933/ADE7932 are available in a 20-lead, Pb-free, widebodySOIC package with increased creepage. The ADE7923 isavailable in a similar 20-lead, Pb-free, wide-body SOIC packagewithout the increased creepage. The ADE7978 is a high accuracy, 3-phase electrical energymeasurement IC with serial interfaces and three flexible pulseoutputs. The ADE7978 can interface with up to four ADE7933/ADE7932 and ADE7923 devices. The ADE7978 incorporates allthe signal processing required to perform total (fundamental andharmonic) active, reactive, and apparent energy measurementand rms calculations, as well as fundamental-only active andreactive energy measurement and rms calculations. A fixedfunction digital signal processor (DSP) executes this signalprocessing. The ADE7978 measures the active, reactive, and apparent energyin various 3-phase configurations, such as wye or delta services, with both three and four wires. The ADE7978 provides systemcalibration features for each phase, gain calibration, and optionaloffset correction. Phase compensation is also available, but it isnot necessary because the currents are sensed using shunts. TheCF1, CF2, and CF3 logic outputs provide a wide selection ofpower information: total active, reactive, and apparent powers;the sum of the current rms values; and fundamental active andreactive powers. The ADE7978 incorporates power quality measurements, suchas short duration low or high voltage detection, short durationhigh current variations, line voltage period measurement, andangles between phase voltages and currents. Two serial interfaces,SPI and I2C, can be used to communicate with the ADE7978.A dedicated high speed interface—the high speed data capture(HSDC) port—can be used in conjunction with I2C to provideaccess to the ADC outputs and real-time power information. The ADE7978 also has two interrupt request pins, IRQ0 andIRQ1, to indicate that an enabled interrupt event has occurred. The ADE7978 is available in a 28-lead, Pb-free LFCSP package.Applications Shunt-based polyphase meters Power quality monitoring Solar inverters Process monitoring Protective devices Isolated sensor interfaces Industrial PLCs

ADF7024BCPZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADF7024 is an ultralow power, integrated transceiver for use in the license-free ISM bands at 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz. Its ease of use and high performance make it suitable for a wide variety of wireless applications. The ADF7024 is suitable for operation under the European ETSI EN 300-220 regulation, the North American FCC Part 15 regulation, and other similar regulatory standards. The ADF7024 can operate under a number of predefined radio profiles. For each radio profile, optimized register settings are provided for the ADF7024 radio. This ensures that the RF communication layer works seamlessly, allowing the user to concentrate on the protocol and system level design and prototyping. The radio profiles cover common data rate and modulation options. There are six radio profiles in total, as shown in Table 1.The ADF7024 operates with a power supply range of 2.2 V to 3.6 V and has very low power consumption in both Tx and Rx modes, enabling long lifetimes in battery-operated systems while maintaining excellent RF performance. The low IF receiver minimizes power consumption and provides excellent sensitivity. The receiver is exceptionally linear and, therefore, is very resilient to the presence of interferers in spectrally noisy environments. The highly efficient transmitter has programmable output power up to 13.5 dBm and automatic power amplifier (PA) ramping to meet transient spurious specifications. The RF synthesizer comprises a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), a low noise fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL) and a loop filter, all of which are fully integrated and automatically calibrated. This agile frequency synthesizer facilitates the implementation of frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) systems. The smart wake mode (SWM) allows the ADF7024 to wake up autonomously from sleep using the internal wake-up timer without intervention from the host processor. This functionality allows carrier sense, packet sniffing, and packet reception while the host processor is in sleep, thereby reducing overall system current consumption. The ADF7024 eases the processing burden of the host processor by integrating the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. The host processor can configure the ADF7024 using a simple command-based protocol over a standard 4-wire SPI interface. A single-byte command transitions the radio between states or performs a radio function.A complete wireless solution can be built using a small number of external discrete components and a host processor (typically a microcontroller). For more information, see the ADF7024 Hardware Reference Manual, UG-698, which is only available as part of the ADF7024 design resource package.APPLICATIONS Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) Home and building automation Asset tracking Process and building control Industrial control Internet of Things (IoT)

ADG5209BRUZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADG5208/ADG5209 are monolithic CMOS analog multiplexers comprising eight single channels and four differential channels, respectively. The ADG5208 switches one of eight inputs to a common output, as determined by the 3-bit binary address lines, A0, A1, and A2. The ADG5209 switches one of four differential inputs to a common differential output, as determined by the 2-bit binary address lines, A0 and A1.An EN input on both devices enables or disables the device. When EN is disabled, all channels switch off. The ultralow capacitance and charge injection of these switches make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and sample-and-hold applications, where low glitch and fast settling are required. Fast switching speed coupled with high signal bandwidth make these devices suitable for video signal switching. Each switch conducts equally well in both directions when on, and each switch has an input signal range that extends to the power supplies. In the off condition, signal levels up to the supplies are blocked. The ADG5208/ADG5209 do not have VL pins; instead, the logic power supply is generated internally by an on-chip voltage generator.Product Highlights Trench Isolation Guards Against Latch-Up. ADL5324-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5324 incorporates a dynamically adjustable biasing circuit that allows for the customization of OIP3 and P1dB performance from 3.3 V to 5 V, without the need for an external bias resistor. This feature gives the designer the ability to tailor driver amplifier performance to the specific needs of the design. This feature also creates the opportunity for dynamic biasing of the driver amplifier where a variable supply is used to allow for full 5 V biasing under large signal conditions, and then reduced supply voltage when signal levels are smaller and lower power consumption is desirable. This scalability reduces the need to evaluate and inventory multiple driver amplifiers for different output power requirements, from 25 dBm to 29 dBm output power levels. The ADL5324 is also rated to operate across the wide temperature range of −40°C to +105°C for reliable performance in designs that experience higher temperatures, such as power amplifiers. The ½ W driver amplifier also covers the wide frequency range of 400 MHz to 4000 MHz, and only requiresa few external components to be tuned to a specific band within that wide range. This high performance broadband RF driver amplifier is well suited for a variety of wired and wireless applications, including cellular infrastructure, ISM band power amplifiers, defense equipment, and instrumentation equipment. A fully populated evaluation board is available. The ADL5324 also delivers excellent ACPR vs. output power and bias voltage. The driver can deliver greater than 17 dBm of output power at 2140 MHz, while achieving an ACPR of −55 dBc at 5 V. If the bias is reduced to 3.3 V, the −55 dBc ACPR output power only minimally reduces to 15 dBm.Applications Wireless infrastructure Automated test equipment ISM/AMR applications

ADL5565-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5565 is a high performance differential amplifier optimized for RF and IF applications. The amplifier offers low noise of 1.5 nV/√Hz and excellent distortion performance over a wide frequency range making it an ideal driver for high speed 8-bit to 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).The ADL5565 provides three gain levels of 6 dB, 12 dB, and 15.5 dB through a pin strappable configuration. For the single-ended input configuration, the gains are reduced to 5.3 dB, 10.3 dB, and 13 dB. Using two external series resistors expands the gain flexibility of the amplifier and allows for any gain selection from 0 dB to 15.5 dB for a differential input and 0 dB to 13 dB for a single-ended input. The quiescent current of the ADL5565 is typically 70 mA, and when disabled, consumes less than 5 mA with −25 dB of input-to-output isolation at 100 MHz.The device is optimized for wideband, low distortion, and noise performance, giving it unprecedented performance for overall spurious-free dynamic range. These attributes, together with its adjustable gain capability, make this device the amplifier of choice for driving a wide variety of ADCs, mixers, pin diode attenuators, SAW filters, and multielement discrete devices.Fabricated on an Analog Devices, Inc., high speed SiGe process, the ADL5565 is supplied in a compact 3 mm × 3 mm, 16-lead LFCSP package and operates over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.APPLICATIONS Differential ADC drivers Single-ended-to-differential conversion RF/IF gain blocks SAW filter interfacing

ADL6010-EVALZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL6010 is a versatile, broadband envelope detector covering the microwave spectrum. It provides state-of-the-art accuracy with very low power consumption (8 mW) in a simple, easy to use 6-lead format. The output is a baseband voltage proportional to the instantaneous amplitude of the radio frequency (RF) input signal. It exhibits minimal slope variation of the RF input to envelope output transfer function from 0.5 GHz to 43.5 GHz.The detector cell uses a proprietary eight Schottky diode array followed by a novel linearizer circuit that creates a linear voltmeter with an overall scaling factor (or transfer gain) of nominally ×2.2 relative to the voltage amplitude of the input.Although the ADL6010 is not inherently a power responding device, it remains convenient to specify the input in this way. Thus, the permissible input power, relative to a 50 Ω source input impedance, ranges from −30 dBm to +15 dBm. The corresponding input voltage amplitudes of 11.2 mV to 1.8 V generate quasi-dc outputs from about 25 mV to 4 V above common (COMM).A subtle aspect of the balanced detector topology is that no even-order distortion, caused by nonlinear source loading, occurs at the input. This is an important benefit in applications where a low ratio coupler is used to extract a signal sample and is a significant improvement over traditional diode detectors. The power equivalent of a fluctuating RF input amplitude can be extracted by the addition of an rms-to-dc converter IC. Alternatively, the baseband output can be applied to a suitably fast analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and the rms value (and other signal metrics, such as peak to average ratio) calculated in the digital domain. The output response accuracy is insensitive to variation in the supply voltage, which can range from 4.75 V to 5.25 V. The ultralow power dissipation contributes to its long-term stability. The ADL6010ACPZN is specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C, and the ADL6010SCPZN is specified for operation from −55°C to +125°C. Both are available in a 6-lead, 2 mm × 2 mm LFCSP package.Applications Microwave point to point links Microwave instrumentation Radar-based measurement systems
