DC1699A-B: Demo Board for the LT6108 High Side Current Sense Amplifier with Reference and Comparator.

Demonstration circuit 2192B is a fuel cell monitor featuring the LTC6806, a 36-channel fuel cell monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2192B demo circuit also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components and DuraClik connectors are optimized for low EMI susceptibility and emissions. The DC2192B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026  Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026C provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2192B isoSPI port (J3/J4 connector). The DC2792B provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.

Demonstration circuit 2845A features the LTM4680, which is a dual 30A or single 60A μModule® regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The two channels of the LTM4680 are paralleled on this board, so it can deliver 60A maximum load current. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 3.3V. Please see LTM4680 data sheet for more detailed information. DC2845A powers up to default settings and produces power based on configuration resistors without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter. To fully explore the extensive power system management features of the part, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto your PC and use ADI I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. LTpowerPlay allows the user to reconfigure the part on-the-fly and store the configuration in EEPROM, view telemetry of voltage, current, temperature and fault status. Demonstration circuit 2891A features the LTM4670EY, a high efficiency, quad 10A step-down power μModule® regulator. The input voltage range is from 2.25V to 5.5V. The output voltage range is 0.5V to VIN. Derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, frequency and thermal conditions. The DC2891A offers the SSTT pin allowing the user to program output tracking, soft-start period and die temperature monitoring. The MODE/SYNC pin either synchronizes the switching frequency to an external clock, is a clock output, or sets the PWM mode. The PWM modes of operation are forced continues mode for low noise or pulse-skipping mode for high efficiency at light load. The LTM4670 defaults to forced continues mode in regulation and during synchronization. The LTM4670 operates in pulse-skipping mode when both the FREQ and MODE/SYNC pins are connected to VIN. DC2891A has optional jumper resistors to parallel multiple LTM4670 channels. For paralleled channels, one channel can be set as master, and the rest can be set as slaves. The phase shift of a slave channel relative to the master channel can be programmed with a resistor divider on the FREQ pin. For DC2891A, four channels of LTM4670 are working separately and all set as master. A multiphase oscillator LTC6902 is used to set 90-degree phase shift between adjacent phases and reduce the amount of ripple current in both the input and output capacitors. The LTM4670 data sheet must be read in conjunction with the demo manual prior to working on or modifying demo circuit DC2891A.

Demonstration circuit 2570A is a dual output, high efficiency, high density, µModule® regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 33V and it can supply 50A maximum load current. The demo board has a LTM4678 µModule regulator, which is a dual 25A or single 50A step-down regulator with digital power system management.
