The LTC6905-X series of parts are precision, fixed frequency, silicon oscillators designed to minimize board space while maximizing accuracy and ease of use.Programmed at the factory to a fixed frequency, the LTC6905-X series of parts need no external trim components. An internal three-state divider allows for division of the master clock by 1, 2 or 4, providing 3 frequencies (for each device).The LTC6905-X series operate with a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply and provide a rail-to-rail, 50% duty cycle, square wave output. The LTC3115-2 is a high voltage monolithic synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter optimized for applications subject to fast (<1ms) input voltage transients. For all other applications, the LTC3115-1 is recommended. With its wide 2.7V to 40V input and output voltage ranges, the LTC3115-2 is well suited for use in a wide variety of automotive and industrial power supplies. A proprietary low noise switching algorithm optimizes efficiency with input voltages that are above, below or even equal to the output voltage and ensures seamless transitions between operational modes.Programmable frequency PWM mode operation provides low noise, high efficiency operation and the ability to synchronize switching to an external clock. Switching frequencies up to 2MHz are supported to allow use of small value inductors for miniaturization of the application circuit. Pin selectable Burst Mode operation reduces standby current and improves light load efficiency which, combined with a 3?A shutdown current, make the LTC3115-2 ideally suited for battery-powered applications. The LTC3875 is a dual output current mode synchronous step-down DC/DC controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stages. It employs a unique architecture that enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the current sense signal, allowing the use of very low DC resistance (DCR) power inductors to maximize efficiency in high current applications. This feature also reduces the switching jitter commonly found in low DCR applications with current mode control.The LTC3875 features two high speed differential amplifiers which can be used to compensate for the voltage drop from the LTC3875 to the load. The LT8709 is a synchronous PWM controller for negative-to-negative or negative-to-positive DC/DC conversion, with rail-to-rail output current monitor and control. The LT8709 is ideal for many local power supply designs. It can be easily configured in buck, boost, buck-boost, and inverting topologies with negative input voltages.In addition, the LT8709?s rail-to-rail output current sense allows the part to be configured in current limited applications such as battery or capacitor charging. The PG pin is used for power good indication.The LT8709?s switching frequency range can be set between 100kHz and 750kHz. The part may be clocked internally at a frequency set by the resistor from the RT pin to the ?VIN pin, or it may be synchronized to an external clock.The LT8709 also features innovative EN/FBIN pin circuitry that allows for slowly varying input signals and an adjustable undervoltage lockout function. The pin is also used as input voltage regulation to avoid collapsing a high impedance input supply. Additional features such as frequency foldback, thermal shutdown and soft-start are integrated. The LT4363 surge stopper protects loads from high voltage transients. It regulates the output during an overvoltage event, such as load dump in vehicles, by controlling the gate of an external N-channel MOSFET. The output is limited to a safe value allowing the loads to continue functioning. The LT4363 also monitors the voltage drop between the SNS and OUT pins to protect against overcurrent faults. An internal amplifier limits the voltage across the current sense resistor to 50mV. In either fault condition, a timer is started inversely proportional to MOSFET stress. Before the timer expires, the FLT pin pulls low to warn of an impending power down. If the condition persists, the MOSFET is turned off. The LT4363-1 remains off until reset whereas the LT4363-2 restarts after a cool down period.Two precision comparators can monitor the input supply for overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. When the potential is below the UV threshold, the external MOSFET is kept off. If the input supply voltage is above the OV threshold, the MOSFET is not allowed to turn back on. Back-to-back MOSFETs can be used in lieu of a Schottky diode for reverse input protection, reducing voltage drop and power loss.
