The ADG918/ADG919 are wideband switches using a CMOSprocess to provide high isolation and low insertion loss to1 GHz. The ADG918 is an absorptive (matched) switch having50 ? terminated shunt legs, whereas the ADG919 is a reflectiveswitch. These devices are designed such that the isolation ishigh over the dc to 1 GHz frequency range. They have on-boardCMOS control logic, thus eliminating the need for externalcontrolling circuitry. The LTC1550/LTC1551 are switched capacitor charge pump voltage inverters which include internal linear post-regulators to minimize output ripple. Output voltages are fixed at ?4.1V, with ripple voltages typically below 1mVP-P. The LTC1550 is also available in an adjustable output voltage version. The LTC1550/LTC1551 are ideal for use as bias voltage generators for GaAs transmitter FETs in portable RF and cellular telephone applications. The LTC1550/LTC1551 operate from single 4.5V to 6.5V supplies and draw typical quiescent currents of 4.25mA with a 5V supply. Each device includes a TTL compatible Shutdown pin which drops supply current to 0.2?A typically. The LTC1550 Shutdown pin is active low (SHDN), while the LTC1551 Shutdown pin is active high (SHDN). Only four external components are required: an input bypass capacitor, two 0.1?F charge pump capacitors and a filter capacitor at the linear regulator output. The adjustable LTC1550 requires two additional resistors to set the output voltage. The LTC1550/LTC1551 will supply up to 10mA output current with a 5V supply, while maintaining guaranteed output regulation of ?5%. The receive path consists of two independent, wide bandwidth (BW), direct conversion receivers with state-of-the-art dynamic range. The complete receive subsystem includes automatic and manual attenuation control, dc offset correction, quadrature error correction (QEC), and digital filtering, eliminating the need for these functions in the digital baseband. RF front-end control and several auxiliary functions such as analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs) for the power amplifier (PA) are also integrated.In addition to automatic gain control (AGC), the ADRV9008-1 also features flexible external gain control modes, allowing significant flexibility in setting system level gain dynamically.The received signals are digitized with a set of four high dynamic range, continuous time, sigma-delta (?-?) ADCs that provide inherent antialiasing. The combination of the direct conversion architecture, which does not suffer from out of band image mixing, and the lack of aliasing relaxes the requirements of the RF filters compared to traditional intermediate frequency (IF) receivers.The fully integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) provides high per-formance, low power, fractional-N, RF synthesis for the receiver signal paths. An additional synthesizer generates the clocks needed for the converters, digital circuits, and the serial interface. A multi-chip synchronization mechanism synchronizes the phase of the RF local oscillator (LO) and baseband clocks between multiple ADRV9008-1 chips. Precautions are taken to provide the isolation required in high performance base station applications. All voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) and loop filter components are integrated.The high speed JESD204B interface supports up to 12.288 Gbps lane rates, resulting in two lanes per transmitter and a single lane per receiver in the widest bandwidth mode. The interface also supports interleaved mode for lower bandwidths, reducing the total number of high speed data interface lanes to one. Both fixed and floating point data formats are supported. The floating point format allows internal AGC to be invisible to the demodulator device.The core of the ADRV9008-1 can be powered directly from 1.3 V and 1.8 V regulators and is controlled via a standard 4-wire serial port. The AD4630-16 is a two-channel, simultaneous sampling, Easy Drive?, 2 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). With a guaranteed maximum ?3 ppm integral nonlinearity (INL) and no missing codes at 16-bits, the AD4630-16 achieves excellent precision from ?40?C to +125?C. Figure 1 in the data sheet shows the functional architecture of the AD4630-16.A low-drift, internal precision reference buffer eases voltage reference sharing with other system circuitry. The AD4630-16 offers a typical dynamic range of 97.4 dB when using a 5 V reference. The low noise floor enables signal chains requiring less gain and lower power. A block averaging filter with programmable decimation ratio is available and can reduce noise for low bandwidth signals, improving accuracy. The wide differential input and common-mode ranges allow inputs to use the full (?VREF range without saturating, simplifying signal conditioning requirements and system calibration. The improved settling of the Easy Drive analog inputs broadens the selection of analog front-end components compatible with the AD4630-16. The AD5172 / AD5173?are dual-channel, 256-position, one-time programmable (OTP) digital potentiometers that employ fuse link technology to achieve memory retention of resistance settings. The digital potentiometer, VR, and RDAC terms are used interchangeably. OTP is a cost-effective alternative to EEMEM for users who do not need to program the digital potentiometer setting in memory more than once. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors but with enhanced resolution, solid-state reliability, and superior low temperature coefficient performance.TheAD5172 / AD5173 are programmed using a 2-wire, I2C-compatible digital interface. Unlimited adjustments are allowed before permanently setting the resistance value. During OTP activation, a permanent blow fuse command freezes the wiper position (analogous to placing epoxy on a mechanical trimmer).Unlike traditional OTP digital potentiometers, the AD5172 / AD5173 have a unique temporary OTP overwrite feature that allows for new adjustments even after a fuse is blown. However, the OTP setting is restored during subsequent power-up conditions.
