Demonstration circuit 1326A consists of three voltage regulators; a synchronous boost, a synchronous buck and a linear LDO. Jumpers are provided for selecting a total of nine output voltages (3 boost output voltages: 1.8V/3.3V/5V, 3 buck output voltages: 1.2V/1.5V/1.8V, and 3 LDO output voltages: 1.5V/2.85V/3V). The high efficiency DC/DC converters feature 700mA switches for the boost, 250mA for the buck and a 100mA rating for the LDO regulator. With a light load, the boost converter can startup with an input voltage as low as 700mV and once started, the input can go as low as 500mV while maintaining a regulated output. That maximum boost and buck input voltage is 5.5V. The buck converter requires 1.8V minimum input.

Demonstration circuit 1640A is a 1.5V/20A synchronous buck converter operating with a switching frequency of 300kHz over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 14V. The demo board comes in two versions. The A version uses inductor DCR current sensing with an iron powder inductor for high efficiency. The B version uses a 2mΩ /1% sense resistor for accurate current sensing with a low DCR ferrite inductor. The fixed on-time valley current mode topology of the LTC3833 allows for a fast load step response.

The ADL5206 is a wide bandwidth, variable gain amplifier (VGA) with digital control (also known as a digital gain amplifier (DGA)) that provides precise gain control, high output third-order intercept (OIP3), and low noise figure over the entire gain range. The excellent OIP3 performance of 39.4 dBm (at 300MHz, 5 V supply, and maximum gain) makes the ADL5206 an excellent gain control device for a variety of receiver applications. For wide input dynamic range applications, the ADL5206 provides a broad 2 dB to 32 dB gain range with a 1 dB step size. The gain is adjustable through multiple gain control and interface options: parallel, serial peripheral interface (SPI), or gain step-up and step-down controls. The ADL5206 can be powered up independently by applying the appropriate logic level to the PWUP pin. The quiescent current of the ADL5206 is typically 112 mA with a 5 V supply. When disabled, the ADL5206 consumes only 8 mA and offers excellent input to output isolation. The gain setting is preserved when the device is disabled. Fabricated on the Analog Devices, Inc., high speed, silicon germanium (SiGe), bipolar complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (BiCMOS) process, the ADL5206 provides precise gain adjustment capabilities with good distortion performance. The ADL5206 amplifier comes in a compact, thermally enhanced, 4 mm ? 4 mm, 20-lead LFCSP and operates over the temperature range of ?40?C to +85?C. Note that throughout the data sheet, multifunction pins, such as CS/GS1/D3, are referred to by the entire pin name or by a single function of the pin. The LT3697 is a 35V, 2.5A step-down switching regulator designed to power 5V USB applications. A precise output voltage and programmable cable drop compensation maintain accurate 5V regulation at the USB socket connected to the end of a long cable. The accurate, programmable current limit can eliminate the need for a USB power switch and improve system reliability. The provided 180mA active load reduces output overshoot during load transients. Dual feedback allows regulation on the output of a USB switch and limits cable drop compensation to a maximum of 6.1V output, protecting USB devices during fault conditions. A separate 5V output can be taken from the SYS terminal to power auxiliary circuitry such as a USB hub controller. The LT3697 also provides a load current monitor output and an overcurrent fault indicator.The LT3697 operates from 300kHz to 2.2MHz and withstands input voltage transients up to 60V. The device's output survives shorts to ground and to the battery. A current mode topology is used for fast transient response and good loop stability. The LTC3110 is a 2A bidirectional buck-boost DC/DC regulator with capacitor charger and balancer. Demonstration circuit 2881A-A is a 2-phase dual-output, high efficiency, high density, synchronous buck converter with 7V to 14V input range. Each output can supply up to 30A maximum load current with 1V output. The demo board features the LTC3884-1 controller paired with the LTC7050 dual smart power stage to provide a 2-phase buck converter solution. The LTC3884-1 is a dual output poly phase step-down controller with digital power system management. The LTC7050 is a dual monolithic smart power stage which integrates high speed drivers with low resistance half-bridge power switches plus comprehensive monitoring and protection circuitry in an electrically and thermally optimized package. Please refer to the LTC3884-1 and LTC7050 data sheet for more detailed information. DC2881A-A powers up to default settings and produces power based on configuration resistors (or with the setting in its non-volatile memory) without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter. To fully explore the extensive power system management features of the part, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto your PC and use ADI’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. LTpowerPlay allows the user to reconfigure the part on the fly and store the configuration in EEPROM, view telemetry of voltage, current, temperature and fault status.

Demonstration circuit 1568A is a 2A monolithic multichemistry battery charger for solar power applications featuring the LT3652EDD. The LT3652 is a complete mid-power Li-Ion battery charger that can operate over a wide input voltage range. The charger employs a 3.3V float voltage feedback reference that allows the battery float voltage to be adjusted up to 14.4V. The LT3652 has an input voltage regulation loop which reduces charge current if the input falls below a programmed level, set with a resistor divider. The circuit provides CC/CV charging with a 2A maximum charge current that is programmed by a sense resistor.
