The AD7405 is a high performance, second-order, ?-? modulatorthat converts an analog input signal into a high speed, single-bitLVDS data stream, with on-chip digital isolation based onAnalog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology. The AD7405operates from a 5 V (VDD1) power supply and accepts adifferential input signal of ?250 mV (?320 mV full-scale). Thedifferential input is ideally suited to shunt voltage monitoring inhigh voltage applications where galvanic isolation is required. The analog input is continuously sampled by a high performanceanalog modulator, and converted to a ones density digital outputstream with a data rate of up to 20 MHz. The originalinformation can be reconstructed with an appropriate digitalfilter to achieve 88 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) at 78.1 kSPS.The LVDS input/output can use a 5 V or a 3.3 V supply (VDD2).The LVDS interface is digitally isolated. The LVDS interfacetechnology, combined with monolithic transformer technology, means the on-chip isolation provides outstanding performancecharacteristics, superior to alternatives such as optocouplerdevices. The AD7405 device is offered in a 16-lead, wide-bodySOIC package and has an operating temperature range of ?40?Cto +125?C.Applications Shunt current monitoring AC motor controls Power and solar inverters Wind turbine inverters Data acquisition systems Analog-to-digital and opto-isolator replacements

EVAL-AD5165DBZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5165 provides a compact 2.9 mm ? 2.8 mm packaged solution for 256-position adjustment applications. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors, with enhanced resolution, solid-state reliability, and superior low temperature coefficient performance. The AD5165?s supply voltage requirement is 2.7 V to 5.5 V, but its logic voltage requirement is 1.8 V to VDD. The AD5165 consumes very low quiescent power during standby mode and is ideal for battery-operated applications.Wiper settings are controlled through a simple 3-wire interface. The interface is similar to the SPI? digital interface except for the inverted chip-select function that minimizes logic power consumption in the idling state. The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the wiper register.Operating from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V power supply and consuming less than 50 nA typical standby power allows use in battery-operated portable or remote utility device applications.Note: The terms digital potentiometer, RDAC, and VR are used interchangeably.APPLICATIONS Battery-operated electronics adjustment Remote utilities meter adjustment Mechanical potentiometer replacement Transducer circuit adjustment Automotive electronics adjustment Gain control and offset adjustment System calibration VCXO adjustment

The LTC1700 is a current mode synchronous step-up DC/DC controller that drives external N-channel and P-channel power MOSFETs using a constant frequency PWM architecture. Current limiting is provided by sensing the voltage drop across the main MOSFET, eliminating the need of a sense resistor. This No RSENSE? technique helps the LTC1700 maintain high efficiency at heavy loads while Burst Mode operation ensures high efficiency at light loads, thus providing high efficiencies over a wide range of load currents. The LTC1700 operates at a minimum input voltage as low as 0.9V. The device boasts a ?1.5% output voltage accuracy and consumes only 200?A of quiescent current. In shutdown, it only draws 10?A.To prevent inductor current runaway, the duty cycle is limited to 90%. Overvoltage protection is also provided which shuts both the external MOSFETs off when tripped.High constant operating frequency of 530kHz allows the use of small inductors and output capacitors. The LTC1700 can also be synchronized between 400kHz to 750kHz. Burst Mode operation is inhibited when the device is externally clocked or when the SYNC/MODE pin is pulled low to reduce noise and RF interference.Applications Cellular Telephones Wireless Modems RF Communications 2.5V to 3.3V, 2.5V to 5V Converters Battery-Powered Equipment Telecom/Network Systems

The LTC1844 Series are low noise VLDO? (very low dropout) linear regulators designed for low power/portable applications. These regulators can operate from input voltages as low as 1.6V. Typical output noise is only 30?VRMS and typical dropout for the LTC1844-3.3 is just 90mV at the maximum load current of 150mA, reducing to 30mV at 50mA.The internal P-channel MOSFET pass transistor requires no base current, allowing the device to draw only 35?A during normal operation, independent of the dropout voltage and load current. The quiescent current falls to a negligible 10nA during shutdown.Other features include high output voltage accuracy, excellent transient response, stability with ultralow ESR ceramic capacitors as small as 1?F, reverse-battery and reverse-current protection, short-circuit and thermal overload protection and output current limiting. The LTC1844 regulators are available in a low profile (1mm) SOT-23 (ThinSOT?) package.Applications Portable Instruments and Battery-Powered Systems Bluetooth/802.11 Cards Cellular Phones PDAs and Notebook Computers
