EVAL-AD5232SDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5232 device provides a nonvolatile, dual-channel, digitally controlled variable resistor (VR) with 256-position resolution. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a mechanical potentiometer with enhanced resolution, solid state reliability, and superior low temperature coefficient performance. The versatile programming of the AD5232, performed via a microcontroller, allows multiple modes of operation and adjustment. In the direct program mode, a predetermined setting of the RDAC registers (RDAC1 and RDAC2) can be loaded directly from the microcontroller. Another important mode of operation allows the RDACx register to be refreshed with the setting previously stored in the corresponding EEMEM register (EEMEM1 and EEMEM2). When changes are made to the RDACx register to establish a new wiper position, the value of the setting can be saved into the EEMEMx register by executing an EEMEM save operation. After the settings are saved in the EEMEMx register, these values are automatically transferred to the RDACx register to set the wiper position at system power-on. Such operation is enabled by the internal preset strobe. The preset strobe can also be accessed externally. All internal register contents can be read via the serial data output (SDO). This includes the RDAC1 and RDAC2 registers, the corresponding nonvolatile EEMEM1 and EEMEM2 registers, and the 14 spare USER EEMEM registers that are available for constant storage. The basic mode of adjustment is the increment and decrement command instructions that control the wiper position setting register (RDACx). An internal scratch pad RDACx register can be moved up or down one step of the nominal resistance between Terminal A and Terminal B. This step adjustment linearly changes the wiper to Terminal B resistance (RWB) by one position segment of the device?s end-to-end resistance (RAB). For exponential/ logarithmic changes in wiper setting, a left/right shift command instruction adjusts the levels in ?6 dB steps, which can be useful for audio and light alarm applications. The AD5232 is available in a thin, 16-lead TSSOP package. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the extended industrial temperature range of ?40?C to +85?C. An evaluation board, the EVAL-AD5232-10EBZ, is available.APPLICATIONS Mechanical potentiometer replacement Instrumentation: gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage-to-current conversion Programmable filters, delays, and time constants Programmable power supply Low resolution DAC replacement Sensor calibration

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5253?/ AD5254?are quad-channel, I2C, nonvolatile memory, digitally controlled potentiometers with 64/256 positions, respectively. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment functions as mechanical potentiometers, trimmers, and variable resistors. The parts? versatile programmability allows multiple modes of operation, including read/write access in the RDAC and EEMEM registers, increment/decrement of resistance, resistance changes in ?6 dB scales, wiper setting readback, and extra EEMEM for storing user-defined information, such as memory data for other components, look-up table, or system identification information. The AD5253 / AD5254?allow the host I2C controllers to write any of the 64-/256-step wiper settings in the RDAC registers and store them in the EEMEM. Once the settings are stored, they are restored automatically to the RDAC registers at system power-on; the settings can also be restored dynamically. The AD5253 / AD5254?provide additional increment, decrement, +6 dB step change, and ?6 dB step change in synchronous or asynchronous channel update mode. The increment and decrement functions allow stepwise linear adjustments, with a ? 6 dB step change equivalent to doubling or halving the RDAC wiper setting. These functions are useful for steep-slope, nonlinear adjustments, such as white LED brightness and audio volume control. The AD5253 / AD5254?have a patented resistance-tolerance storing function that allows the user to access the EEMEM and obtain the absolute end-to-end resistance values of the RDACs for precision applications. The AD5253 / AD5254?are available in TSSOP-20 packages in 1 k?, 10 k?, 50 k?, and 100 k? options. LTC6820 Demo Board | Dual Master isoSPI Adapter
Analog Devices Inc.
The demonstration circuit DC2792B is an SPI serial to dual-port isoSPI adapter that uses a pair of multiplexed LTC6820 isoSPI transceivers and miniaturized isoSPI connectors (2 contact DuraClik). The board can functionally replace a DC1941 in cases where isoSPI battery-management (BMS) devices are being evaluated, but provides a second isoSPI master to exercise the reversible isoSPI feature where available. The SPI interface can be provided via the legacy 14-contact ribbon cable from either a DC590 or DC2026 USB adapter, or directly installed on the DC2026 as a Linduino shield. The two isoSPI ports are MAIN and AUXiliary, with activity of each indicated by blue LEDs. For use in place of DC1941 or non-reversible isoSPI networks, the MAIN port must be used. Power for the DC2792B comes indirectly from the USB port of the host computer, via the USB to serial adapter being used.

LT8210 Demo Board | 8V to 40VIN, 80VIN Surge (60s), Operates Down to 3.5VIN after Start-Up, VOUT = 8V to 16V at 3A
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2814A-A is a high voltage, high efficiency synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter with an input voltage range of 8V to 80V. After the part has started, the input voltage can run down to 3.5V. It can supply a 3A maximum load current with an output range of 8V to 16V. The demo board features the LT8210EUJ controller. The constant frequency current mode architecture allows a phase-lockable frequency of up to 400kHz, while an optional input or output current feedback loop provides support for applications such as battery charging. With a wide input range, wide output range, and seamless transfers between operation modes, the LT8210 is ideal for industrial, automotive, medical, military, and avionics applications.
The converter has four modes of operation: burst, pulse skip, forced continuous mode, or pass-thru. Pass-thru is a feature that passes the input directly to the output when the input voltage is within a user programmable window. Switching losses drop to zero and efficiency is maximized. For input voltage above or below the pass-thru window, the buck or boost regulation loops maintain the output at the set maximum or minimum values, respectively. Reverse input protection is also implemented on this demo board.
The available versions of the DC2814A are:
DC2814A-A: 8V to 40VIN, 80VIN Surge (60s), Operates Down to 3.5VIN after Start-Up, VOUT = 8V to 16V at 3A

LT4293, LT4321 IEEE 802.3bt and LTPoE++ Interoperable Powered Device
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2911A is an IEEE 802.3bt compliant and LTPoE++ interoperable Power over Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD). It features the LT4293 PD interface controller and the LT4321 PoE ideal diode bridge controller.
The LT4293 provides LTPoE++, IEEE 802.3af (PoE, Type 1), IEEE 802.3at (PoE+, Type 2), and IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++, Type 3 and 4) compliant interfacing. It utilizes an external, low RDS(ON) (30mΩ typical) N-channel MOSFET for the Hot Swap function to improve efficiency.
Power good (PWRGD) output indicates the PD controller is ready to provide power to the downstream load. This signal can be used to enable an isolated power supply. The T2P output indicates the available power from the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE). This signal communicates allocated power from either LTPoE++ or IEEE 802.3bt-compliant PSEs to the downstream PD circuitry.
The LT4321 controls eight low RDS(ON) (57mΩ typical) N-channel MOSFETs to further improve end-to-end power delivery efficiency and ease thermal design. This solution replaces the eight diodes typically found in a passive PoE rectifier bridge.
The DC2911A accepts up to 90W of delivered power from a PSE via the RJ45 connector (J1) or a local 48V DC power supply using the auxiliary supply input. When both supplies are connected, the auxiliary supply input has priority over the PoE input.

DC2945A
Analog Devices Inc.
The LTC4246 contains eight switches, each with an independent circuit breaker function. It is particularly well suited for extremely space constrained designs. Each switch can operate completely autonomously or be arbitrarily grouped with other switches that will respond together to the fault of any single device within its group. Optionally, channel grouping may be extended to multiple LTC4246 devices by selecting the FIN# (fault input) pin as part of a channel group. A required bias supply between 2.5V to 5V allows the switches to independently operate from 13.2V down to 0V. The LTC4246 provides an SPI serial interface to enable, disable and configure the timing and current thresholds of each channel as well as provide status to each channel?s fault state.A common open-drain FAULT status output indicates if any switch has opened due to a circuit breaker event.APPLICATIONSATE Wafer Probe ElectronicsScope Probe ProtectionIndustrial ControlRelay Replacement
