The HMC1197 is a low noise, high linearity Direct Quadrature Modulator with Fractional-N PLL&VCO RFIC which is ideal for digital modulation applications from 0.1 to 4.0 GHz including; Cellular/3G, LTE/WiMAX/4G, Broadband Wireless Access & ISM circuits housed in a compact 7x7 mm (LP7) SMT QFN package, the HMC1197 RFIC requires minimal external components & provides a low cost alternative to more complicated double upconversion architectures. The RF output port is single-ended and matched to 50 Ohms with no external components.Auxiliary LO output (differential or single-ended), enables the HMC1197 to distribute identical frequency and phase signals to multiple destinations. Individual gain settings ensure optimal signal levels tailored to each output.External VCO input allows the HMC1197 to lock external VCOs, and enables cascaded LO architectures for MIMO radio applications. Two separate Charge Pump (CP) outputs enable separate loop filters optimized for both integrated and external VCOs, and seamless switching between integrated or external VCOs during operation. Programmable RF output phase feature can further phase adjust and synchronize multiple HMC1197s enabling scalable MIMO and beam-forming radio architectures.Integrated programmable Low Pass Filter (LPF) on the modulator LO input ensures no LO harmonic contribution to modulator sideband rejection performance. Sixteen programmable LPF bands enable true wideband operation, eliminating the need for external band specific harmonic filtering hardware.Additional features include configurable LO output mute function. Exact Frequency Mode that enables the HMC1197 to generate fractional frequencies with 0 Hz frequency error and the ability to synchronously change frequencies without changing the phase of the output signal. The ADL5920 is an ultrawideband, bidirectional detector that simultaneously measures forward and reverse rms power levels in a signal path, along with the return loss.The forward and reverse power traveling through the integrated bidirectional bridge is measured using two 50 dB linear in dB rms detectors. The detector output voltages, available at the VRMSF and VRMSR pins, are proportional to the forward and reflected power in dBm. A third, differential, output produces a voltage proportional to the return loss (reflection coefficient) in dB, closely related to the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). The common-mode level of this output is externally adjustable through the VOCM pin.The primary transmission line of the bidirectional bridge, from RFIN to RFOUT (or vice versa) is dc-coupled and allows small amounts of dc bias current through the bridge. When dc-coupled to source and load, the positive and negative supply pins of the ADL5920 must be connected to +5 V and ?2.5 V, respectively (relative to the dc voltage at RFIN and RFOUT). The internal detector circuitry is also dc-coupled to the directional bridge to support measurements down to 9 kHz.The maximum input signal on each of the RF ports (RFIN and RFOOUT) is 30 dBm for open and shorted terminations and 33 dBm for a matched termination.The ADL5920 draws 160 mA from a 5 V supply and has a low power, power-down mode controlled through the PWDN/TADJS pin.The device is supplied in a 32-lead, 5 mm ? 5 mm LFCSP and is specified for ambient operating temperatures in the ?40?C to +85?C range.Multifunction pin names may be referenced by their relevant function only.Applications Industrial metering Broadband inline power and return loss measurement Transmit power control and automatic level control in wireless transmitters, signal generators, network analyzers, and wireless communications testers Condition based monitoring of system modules, cables, and connectors

The HMC1032LP6GE is a low-noise, wide-band clock generator IC with a fractional-N Phase Locked Loop (PLL) that features an integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO). The device provides differential clock outputs between 125 and 350 MHz range. The HMC1032LP6GE features low noise Phase Detector (PD) and Delta-Sigma modulator, capable of operating at up to 100 MHz, permit wider loop-bandwidths with excellent spectral performance.The HMC1032LP6GE features industry leading phase noise and jitter performance, across the operating range, that enable it to improve link level jitter performance, Bit-Error-Rates (BER) and eye diagram metrics. The superior noise floor (<-165 dBc/Hz) makes the HMC1032LP6GE an ideal source for a variety of applications ?such as clock references for high speed data converters, physical layer devices (PHY), serializer/deserializer (SERDES) circuits, FPGAs and processors. The HMC1032LP6GE can also be used as reference clock and LO for 1G/10G Ethernet line cards as well as jitter attenuation and frequency translation.The differential output of the HMC1032LP6GE includes a 2-bit output amplitude control which may be set via the SPI serial programming interface, and an output Mute function. HMC983LP5E is a fractional frequency divider targeted for fractional-N frequency synthesis, and stand-alone low noise frequency divider applications that require exceptional spurious performance.Although the HMC983LP5E can work with any VCO and/or compatible Phase Detector, best performance and features will be achieved when paired with the companion part, the HMC984LP4E.Fabricated in SiGe BiCMOS process, the HMC983LP5E features a 48-bit Delta Sigma Fractional Modulator (DSM) with programmable phase accumulator size, enabling precise control of frequency step size and resolution. Integrated DSM can generate frequencies with nearly 0 Hz frequency error. The DSM also includes a built-in programmable frequency sweep capability, with various automatic and user defined sweep modes and triggering options, including hardware trigger pin, or SPI trigger with optional delayed trigger.HMC983LP5E is a versatile part capable of various configurations. It has 5 general purpose I/Os (GPIOs).
