Demonstration circuit 2638A-A is a high efficiency, high density, μModule regulator with 4.5V to 16V input range. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.5V to 3.3V, and it can supply 100A maximum load current. The demo board has two LTM4678 μModule® regulators, and the LTM4678 is a dual 25A or single 50A step-down regulator with PMBus power system management. Please see LTM4678 data sheet for more detailed information. DC2638A-A powers up to default settings and produce power based on configuration resistors without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter. To fully explore the extensive power system management features of the part, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto your PC and use ADI’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. Demonstration circuits 1053A-E through 1053A-H exercise the LTC3526L family of high efficiency synchronous boost converters, and are capable of operating with an input voltage range from 0.8V to 5.5V. The 2 × 2 mm DFN thermally enhanced package, high switching frequency (1MHz or 2MHz) and 550mA internal power switches provide a very tiny solution. The LTC3526L family also features output disconnect, and the input voltage can be greater or less than the output voltage. DC1053A-G features the LTC3526L-2 (Burst mode operation) and the DC1053A-H features the LTC3526LB-2 (Burst mode defeated). Both have a 2MHz switching frequency and use a 2.2µH inductor.

Demonstration circuit SCP-LT8330-EVALZ features the LT8330, a boost/SEPIC/inverting converter with a 1A, 60V switch. The demo circuit is specifically a boost converter with an operating input voltage range from 10V to 36V and an output voltage of 48V. With a 12V input, the maximum output current is 135mA. Like all boards in the Signal Chain Power series, this board is designed to be easily plugged into other SCP boards to form a complete signal chain power system, enabling fast evaluation of low power signal chains. Demonstration Circuit 658 is a complete power management system using the LTC3456 for portable applications powered by a wall adapter, a USB port or a 2-cell alkaline battery, in that order of priority. DC658 provides three outputs: a 1.8V, 200mA core supply, a 3.3V, 150mA main supply, and a 3.3V, 50mA Hot Swap supply. All outputs are discharged to ground during shutdown. The synchronous buck (1.8V output) and the second converter (which operates as a buck or a boost depending on the power source, and provides 3.3V @ 150mA and 3.3V @ 50mA outputs) accept a 2V to 3.2V battery input or USB/Wall adapter input.

The ADF4355 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. A series of frequency dividers permits operation from 54 MHz to 6800 MHz.The ADF4355 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. The LT1970A is a ?500mA power op amp with precise externally controlled current limiting. Separate control voltages program the sourcing and sinking current limit sense thresholds with 1% accuracy. Output current may be boosted by adding external power transistors.The circuit operates with single or split power supplies from 5V to 36V total supply voltage. In normal operation, the input stage supplies and the output stage supplies are connected (VCC to V+ and VEE to V?). To reduce power dissipation it is possible to power the output stage (V+, V?) from independent, lower voltage rails. The amplifier is unity-gain stable with a 3.6MHz gain-bandwidth product and slews at 1.6V/?s. The LT1970A can drive capacitive and inductive loads directly.Open-collector status flags signal current limit circuit activation, as well as thermal shutdown of the amplifier. An enable logic input puts the amplifier into a low power, high impedance output state when pulled low. The HMC345ALP3E is a broadband non-reflective GaAs MESFET SP4T switch in a low cost leadless surface mount packages. Covering DC to 8 GHz, this switch offers high isolation and low insertion loss.
