The LTC2983 measures a wide variety of temperature sensors and digitally outputs the result, in ?C or ?F, with 0.1?C accuracy and 0.001?C resolution. The LTC2983 can measure the temperature of virtually all standard (type B, E, J, K, N, S, R, T) or custom thermocouples, automatically compensate for cold junction temperatures and linearize the results. The device can also measure temperature with standard 2-, 3- or 4-wire RTDs, thermistors and diodes. It has 20 reconfigurable analog inputs enabling many sensor connections and configuration options. The LTC2983 includes excitation current sources and fault detection circuitry appropriate for each type of temperature sensor.The LTC2983 allows direct interfacing to ground referenced sensors without the need for level shifters, negative supply voltages, or external amplifiers. All signals are buffered and simultaneously digitized with three high accuracy, 24-bit ?? The ADP5135 combines three high performance buck regulators. It is available in a 24-lead 4 mm ? 4 mm LFCSP.The high switching frequency of the buck regulators enables tiny multilayer external components and minimizes the board space. When the MODE pin is set to high, the buck regulators operate in forced PWM mode. When the MODE pin is set to low, the buck regulators operate in PWM mode only when the load is above a predefined threshold. When the load current falls below this predefined threshold, the regulator operates in power save mode (PSM), improving the light load efficiency.Buck1 and Buck2 operate in sync and Buck3 operates out of phase to reduce the input capacitor requirement. Regulators in the ADP5135 are activated through dedicated enable pins. LTM8002 40VIN, 2.5A Step-Down µModule Regulator

Demonstration circuit 2501A features the LTM®8002, a 40V, 2.5A step-down µModule® regulator. This demo circuit is configured to deliver a 5.0V output from an input voltage between 6.0V to 40V at a switching frequency of 1MHz. The wide input range of the LTM8002 allows a variety of input sources such as automotive batteries and industrial supplies. Under light load conditions, the available Burst Mode® operation supports high efficiency with low output ripple. The demo board has an EMI filter installed. The EMI performance of the board is shown in Figure 6 and Figure 7. The LTM8002 data sheet gives complete description of the device, operation and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual prior to working on or modifying demo circuit 2501A.

The ADM8611 /?ADM8612?/?ADM8613?/?ADM8614?/?ADM8615?are voltage supervisory circuits that monitor power supply voltage levels and code execution integrity in microprocessor-based systems. Apart from providing power-on reset signals, an on-chip watchdog timer can reset the microprocessor if it fails to strobe within a preset timeout period. A reset signal can also be asserted by an external push-button through a manual reset input.The ultralow power consumption of these devices makes them suitable for power efficiency sensitive systems, such as battery-powered portable devices and energy meters.The features of each member of the device family are shown in Table 9 in the data sheet. Each device subdivides into submodels with differences in factory preset voltage monitoring threshold options. In the range of 2 V to 4.63 V, 10 options are available for the ADM8611. In the range of 2.32 V to 4.63 V, five options are available for both the ADM8613 and ADM8614. A separate supply input allows the ADM8612 and ADM8615 to monitor 20 different low voltage levels from 0.5 V to 1.9 V. Not all device options are available as standard models.The ADM8611, ADM8612, ADM8613, and ADM8615 can reset on demand through the manual reset input. The watchdog function on the ADM8613, ADM8614, and ADM8615 monitors the heartbeat of the microprocessor through the WDI pin. The ADM8613 and ADM8614 have a watchdog disable input, which allows the user to disable the watchdog function, if required. The ADM8614 also has a watchdog timeout extension input, allowing the watchdog timeout to be extended from 1.6 sec to 100 sec.The ADM8611/ADM8612/ADM8613/ADM8614/ADM8615 are available in a 6-ball, 1.46 mm ? 0.96 mm WLCSP. The ADP2108 is a high efficiency, low quiescent current step-down dc-to-dc converter manufactured in two different packages. The total solution requires only three tiny external components. It uses a proprietary, high speed current mode, constant frequency PWM control scheme for excellent stability and transient response. To ensure the longest battery life in portable applications, the ADP2108 has a power save mode that reduces the switching frequency under light load conditions.The ADP2108 runs on input voltages of 2.3 V to 5.5 V, which allows for single lithium or lithium polymer cell, multiple alkaline or NiMH cell, PCMCIA, USB, and other standard power sources. The maximum load current of 600 mA is achievable across the input voltage range.The ADP2108 is available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 3.0 V, 2.5 V, 2.3 V, 1.82 V, 1.8 V, 1.5 V, 1.3 V, 1.2 V, 1.1 V, and 1.0 V. All versions include an internal power switch and synchronous rectifier for minimal external part count and high efficiency. The ADP2108 has an internal soft start and is internally compensated. During logic controlled shutdown, the input is disconnected from the output and the ADP2108 draws less than 1 ?A from the input source.Other key features include undervoltage lockout to prevent deep battery discharge and soft start to prevent input current over-shoot at startup. The ADP2108 is available in 5-ball WLCSP and 5-lead TSOT packages. The ADF7024 is an ultralow power, integrated transceiver for use in the license-free ISM bands at 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz. Its ease of use and high performance make it suitable for a wide variety of wireless applications. The ADF7024 is suitable for operation under the European ETSI EN 300-220 regulation, the North American FCC Part 15 regulation, and other similar regulatory standards.The ADF7024 can operate under a number of predefined radio profiles. For each radio profile, optimized register settings are provided for the ADF7024 radio. This ensures that the RF communication layer works seamlessly, allowing the user to concentrate on the protocol and system level design and prototyping. The radio profiles cover common data rate and modulation options. There are six radio profiles in total, as shown in Table 1.The ADF7024 operates with a power supply range of 2.2 V to 3.6 V and has very low power consumption in both Tx and Rx modes, enabling long lifetimes in battery-operated systems while maintaining excellent RF performance.The low IF receiver minimizes power consumption and provides excellent sensitivity. The receiver is exceptionally linear and, therefore, is very resilient to the presence of interferers in spectrally noisy environments. The highly efficient transmitter has programmable output power up to 13.5 dBm and automatic power amplifier (PA) ramping to meet transient spurious specifications. The RF synthesizer comprises a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), a low noise fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL) and a loop filter, all of which are fully integrated and automatically calibrated. This agile frequency synthesizer facilitates the implementation of frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) systems.The smart wake mode (SWM) allows the ADF7024 to wake up autonomously from sleep using the internal wake-up timer without intervention from the host processor. This functionality allows carrier sense, packet sniffing, and packet reception while the host processor is in sleep, thereby reducing overall system current consumption.The ADF7024 eases the processing burden of the host processor by integrating the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. The host processor can configure the ADF7024 using a simple command-based protocol over a standard 4-wire SPI interface. The LTC4380 low quiescent current surge stopper protects loads from high voltage transients. Overvoltage protection is provided by clamping the gate voltage of an external N-channel MOSFET to limit the output voltage to a safe value during overvoltage events such as load dump in automobiles. LT8551 Demo Board | High Power Boost Converter Based on the Phase Expander

Demonstration circuit 2896A-B demonstrates a high power boost converter and features the LT®8551 the phase expander with internal gate drivers. The DC2896A-B employs LTC3769, a single-phase boost controller as primary controller and LT8551 as the phase expander which added four more power phases. The increased number of power sections connected to the LT8551, results in greater higher level output power without a corresponding increase in the difficulty of the design or a sacrifice of primary controller LTC3769 features. The input voltage range of DC2896A-B is from 10V to 46V and the output is 48V. The maximum input current is 12A per power section, so the maximum input current of DC2896A-B is 60A. It’s reflected to 30A of output current and output power of 1,440W at an input voltage of 24V. Correspondingly output current will drop to 14.5A and output power will to 720W at a 12V input voltage, to keep the input current at the same level of 60A. Both values will increase at higher voltages. The input current value can be increased above 60A, if heat sinks are installed, see parts list below. The switching frequency is 250kHz and at a 24V input to 48VOUT at full load, the efficiency of DC2896A-B is 98%. As the input voltage decreases, the output current should be decreased as well, to prevent saturation of the DC2896A-B inductors, the derating curve presented on Figure 3. Efficiency curves presented on Figure 4. DC2896A-B resistors R114 to R119 program the phase relationship between the power sections, by setting the Total Distinct Phase Number (TDPN). For increasing efficiency and reducing switching losses at light loads DC2896A-B supports disconnecting some power sections. This mode of operation designated as the stage shedding and it is programed by the jumper J3 STAGE SHED. Jumper JP1 programs the LT8551 SYNC pin and it allows DC2896A-B to be synchronized to an external clock. The print circuit board of DC2896A also supports two phase expander controllers, the LT8561 and LT8551, with versions DC2896A-A and DC2896A-B correspondingly. The table [1] in the electrical schematic describes differences between both versions, including controller biasing and gate drive voltages. DC2896A-B has jumper SHDN (JP2) for manually enable or disable controller. The SYNC (E19) input can be used to sync LT8551 with an external signal. There are also terminals that make it easy to monitor the control logic of the LT8551 functional. The current sense resistors RSNS1 to RSNS5 used for implementation of current mode control, monitoring and sharing current between the phases. To further increase efficiency DC2896A-B supports optional DCR sensing of inductors L1 to L5. DC2896A-B includes sense line filters and filter options for inputs to the LT8551 in accordance with data sheet recommendations. Undervoltage shutdown, switching frequency and LT8551 ILIM current limit levels can all be adjusted by resistors or resistor jumpers. DC2896A-B comes with a housekeeping circuit based on U3 controller. It reduces the power dissipation that would otherwise occur at high input voltages in regulator transistor Q21. The housekeeping circuit also stabilizes converter biasing at sudden input voltage drops. A high level of available output power without a corresponding high level of design complexity makes the LT8551 attractive for high power DC bus and battery systems in commercial, industrial and automotive settings. DC2896A-B features the LT8551EUKG in a thermally enhanced 52-pin 7mm × 8mm QFN package. The LT8551 and LTC3769 data sheets must be read in conjunction with this demo manual to properly use or modify DC2896A-B.
