Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP1720 is a high voltage, micropower, low dropout linear regulator. Operating over a very wide input voltage range of 4 V to 28 V, the ADP1720 can provide up to 50 mA of output current. With just 28 μA of quiescent supply current and a micropower shutdown mode, this device is ideal for applications that require low quiescent current. The ADP1720 is available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V and 5.0 V. An adjustable version is also available, which allows the output to be set anywhere between 1.225 V and 5.0 V. An enable function that allows external circuits to turn on and turn off the ADP1720 output is available. For automatic startup, the enable (EN) pin can be connected directly to the input rail. The ADP1720 is optimized for stable operation with small 1 μF ceramic output capacitors, allowing for good transient performance while occupying minimal board space. The ADP1720 operates from –40°C to +125°C and uses current limit protection and thermal overload protection circuits to prevent damage to the device in adverse conditions.Available in a small thermally enhanced MSOP package, the ADP1720 provides a compact solution with low thermal resistance.Applications DC-to-DC post regulation PCMCIA regulation Keep-alive power in portable equipment Industrial applications

The ADP1715 / ADP1716 are low dropout, CMOS linear regulators that operate from 2.5 V to 5.5 V and provide up to 500 mA of output current. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, they provide high power supply rejection and achieve excellent line and load transient response with just a small 2.2 μF ceramic output capacitor.Three versions of this part are available, one with fixed output voltage options and variable soft start (ADP1715), one with adjustable output voltage and fixed soft start (ADP1715 Adjustable), and one with voltage tracking in fixed output voltage options (ADP1716). The fixed output voltage options are internally set to one of sixteen values between 0.75 V and 3.3 V; the adjustable output voltage can be set to any value between 0.8 V and 5.0 V by an external voltage divider connected from OUT to ADJ. The variable soft start uses an external capacitor at SS to control the output voltage ramp. Tracking limits the output voltage to the at-or-below voltage at the TRK pin.The ADP1715 / ADP1716 are available in 8-lead thermally enhanced MSOP packages, making them not only a very compact solution but also providing excellent thermal performance for applications requiring up to 500 mA of output current in a small, low profile footprint.APPLICATIONS Notebook computers Memory components Telecommunications equipment Network Equipment DSP/FPGA/µP supplies Instrumentation equipment/data acquisition systems

AD5339ARMZ-REEL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5337 / AD5338 / AD5339 are dual 8-, 10-, and 12-bit buffered voltage output DACs, respectively. Each part is housed in an 8-lead MSOP package and operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, consuming 250 μA at 3 V. On-chip output amplifiers allow rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7 V/μs. A 2-wire serial interface operates at clock rates up to 400 kHz. This interface is SMBus compatible at VDD < 3.6 V. Multiple devices can be placed on the same bus.The references for the two DACs are derived from one reference pin. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the software LDAC function. The parts incorporate a power-on reset circuit to ensure that the DAC outputs power up to 0 V and remain there until a valid write to the device takes place. A software clear function resets all input and DAC registers to 0 V. A power-down feature reduces the current consumption of the devices to 200 nA @ 5 V (80 nA @ 3 V).The low power consumption of these parts in normal operation makes them ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is typically 1.5 mW at 5 V and 0.75 mW at 3 V, reducing to 1 μW in power-down mode.APPLICATIONS Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators Industrial process control
