The SSM2305 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, Class-Daudio amplifier designed to maximize performance for mobilephone applications. The application circuit requires a minimumof external components and operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 Vsupply. It is capable of delivering 2.2 W of continuous outputpower with less than 1% THD + N driving a 4 Ω load from a5.0 V supply. It has built-in thermal shutdown and output short-circuitprotection.The SSM2305 features a high efficiency, low noise modulationscheme that does not require external LC output filters. The modulationprovides high efficiency even at low output power. TheSSM2305 operates with 90% efficiency at 1.3 W into 8 Ω or 83%efficiency at 2.2 W into 4 Ω from a 5.0 V supply and has an SNR of>98 dB. Spread-spectrum pulse density modulation is used toprovide lower EMI-radiated emissions compared with otherClass-D architectures.The SSM2305 has a micropower shutdown mode with a maximumshutdown current of 30 nA. Shutdown is enabled by applyinga Logic 0 to the SD pin. The device also includes pop-and-clicksuppression circuitry. This minimizes voltage glitches at theoutput during turn-on and turn-off, thus reducing audible noiseon activation and deactivation.The fully differential input of the SSM2305 provides excellentrejection of common-mode noise on the input. Input couplingcapacitors can be omitted if the dc input common-mode voltageis approximately VDD/2.The SSM2305 has excellent rejection of power supply noise,including noise caused by GSM transmission bursts and RFrectification. PSRR is typically 60 dB at 217 Hz.The default gain of the SSM2305 is 18 dB, but users can reduce thegain by using a pair of external resistors.The SSM2305 is specified over the commercial temperature range(−40°C to +85°C). It is available in both an 8-lead, 3 mm × 3 mmlead frame chip scale package (LFCSP) and an 8-lead mini smalloutline package (MSOP). The AD866x family are single supply, rail-to-rail output amplifiers with low noise performance featuring an extended operating range with supply voltages up to 16 V. They also feature low input bias currents, wide signal bandwidth, and low input voltage and current noise. For lower offset voltage, choose the AD8661/AD8662/AD8664 family.The combination of low offsets, very low input bias currents, and wide supply range make these amplifiers useful in a wide variety of cost sensitive applications normally associated with much higher priced JFET amplifiers. Systems using high impedance sensors, such as photo diodes, benefit from the combination of low input bias current, low noise, and low offset and bandwidth. The wide operating voltage range matches high performance ADCs and DACs. These packages feature a low distortion pinout that improves second harmonic distortion and simplifies circuit board layout. They also feature an exposed pad that provides a low thermal resistance path to the printed circuit board (PCB). The EPAD enables more efficient heat transfer and increases reliability. The ADA4927 is a low noise, ultralow distortion, high speed, current feedback differential amplifier that is an ideal choice for driving high performance ADCs with resolutions up to 16 bits from dc to 100 MHz. The output common-mode level can easily be matched to the required ADC input common-mode levels. The internal common-mode feedback loop provides exceptional output balance and suppression of even-order distortion products.Differential gain configurations are easily realized using an external feedback network comprising four resistors. The ADA4939-1 / ADA4939-2 are low noise, ultralow distortion,high speed differential amplifiers. They are an ideal choice fordriving high performance ADCs with resolutions up to 16 bitsfrom dc to 100 MHz. The output common-mode voltage is useradjustable by means of an internal common-mode feedback loop,allowing the ADA4939-1 / ADA4939-2 output to match the inputof the ADC. The internal feedback loop also provides exceptionaloutput balance as well as suppression of even-order harmonicdistortion products.With the ADA4939-1 / ADA4939-2, differential gain configurationsare easily realized with a simple external feedback network of fourresistors that determine the closed-loop gain of the amplifier.The ADA4939-1 / ADA4939-2 are fabricated using Analog Devices,Inc., proprietary silicon-germanium (SiGe), complementary bipolarprocess, enabling them to achieve very low levels of distortion withan input voltage noise of only 2.3 nV/√Hz. The low dc offset andexcellent dynamic performance of the ADA4939-1 / ADA4939-2make them well suited for a wide variety of data acquisition andsignal processing applications.The ADA4939-1 (single) is available in a 3 mm × 3 mm, 16-leadLFCSP, and the ADA4939-2 (dual) is available in a 4 mm × 4 mm,24-lead LFCSP. The pinouts are optimized to facilitate printedcircuit board (PCB) layout and minimize distortion.
