The AD8212 is a high common-mode voltage, current shunt monitor. It accurately amplifies a small differential input voltage in the presence of large common-mode voltages up to 65 V (>500 V with an external PNP transistor).The AD8212 is ideal for current monitoring across a shunt resistor in applications controlling loads, such as motors and solenoids. The current output of the device is proportional to the input differential voltage. The user can select an external resistor to set the desired gain. The typical common-mode voltage range of the AD8212 is 7 V to 65 V.Another feature of the AD8212 is high voltage operation, which is achieved by using an external high voltage breakdown PNP transistor. In this configuration, the common-mode range of the AD8212 is equal to the breakdown of the external PNP transistor. Therefore, operation at several hundred volts is easily achieved.The AD8212 features a patented output base current compensation circuit for high voltage operation mode. The AD8216 is a single-supply, difference amplifier ideal for amplifying small differential voltages in the presence of large common-mode voltages. The operating input common-mode voltage range extends from −4 V to +65 V. The typical supply voltage is 5 V. The AD8216 features a 3 MHz bandwidth, allowing for the input-to-output propagation delay that is always less than 150 ns. This feature is ideal for applications monitoring rapidly increasing and decreasing load currents.The AD8216 is offered in a SOIC package. The operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C.Excellent ac and dc performance over temperature keep errors in the measurement loop to a minimum. Offset and gain drift are guaranteed to a maximum of 20 μV/°C and 15 ppm/°C, respectively.The output offset can be adjusted from 0.06 V to 4.9 V with a 5 V supply by using the VREF1 pin and the VREF2 pin. With the VREF1 pin attached to the V+ pin and the VREF2 pin attached to the GND pin, the output is set at half scale. Attaching both VREF1 and VREF2 to GND causes the output to be unipolar, starting near ground. Attaching both VREF1 and VREF2 to V+ causes the output to be unipolar, starting near V+. The AD8221 is a gain programmable, high performance instrumentation amplifier that delivers the industry’s highest CMRR over frequency in its class. The CMRR of instrumentation amplifiers on the market today falls off at 200 Hz. In contrast, the AD8221 maintains a minimum CMRR of 80 dB to 10 kHz for all grades at G = 1. High CMRR over frequency allows the AD8221 to reject wideband interference and line harmonics, greatly simplifying filter requirements. Possible applications include precision data acquisition, biomedical analysis, and aerospace instrumentation. Low voltage offset, low offset drift, low gain drift, high gain accuracy, and high CMRR make this part an excellent choice in applications that demand the best dc performance possible, such as bridge signal conditioning. Programmable gain affords the user design flexibility. A single resistor sets the gain from 1 to 1000. The AD8221 operates on both single and dual supplies and is well suited for applications where ±10 V input voltages are encountered. The AD8221 is available in a low cost 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP, both of which offer the industry’s best performance. The MSOP requires half the board space of the SOIC, making it ideal for multichannel or space-constrained applications. The AD8226 is a low cost, wide supply range instrumentation amplifier that requires only one external resistor to set any gain between 1 and 1000.The AD8226 is designed to work with a variety of signal voltages. A wide input range and rail-to-rail output allow the signal to make full use of the supply rails. Because the input range also includes the ability to go below the negative supply, small signals near ground can be amplified without requiring dual supplies. The AD8226 operates on supplies ranging from ±1.35 V to ±18 V for dual supplies and 2.2 V to 36 V for single supply.The robust AD8226 inputs are designed to connect to real-world sensors. In addition to its wide operating range, the AD8226 can handle voltages beyond the rails. For example, with a ±5 V supply, the part is guaranteed to withstand ±35 V at the input with no damage. The SSM2518 is a digital input, Class-D power amplifier that combinesa digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a sigma-delta(Σ-Δ) Class-D modulator. This unique architecture enablesextremely low real-world power consumption from digitalaudio sources with excellent audio performance. The SSM2518is ideal for power sensitive applications, such as mobile phonesand portable media players, where system noise can corruptsmall analog signals such as those sent to an analog input audioamplifier.Using the SSM2518, audio data can be transmitted to the amplifierover a standard digital audio serial interface, thereby significantlyreducing the effect of noise sources such as GSM interference orother digital signals on the transmitted audio. The closed-loopdigital input design retains the benefits of an all digital amplifier,yet enables very good PSRR and audio performance. The threelevel, Σ-Δ Class-D modulator is designed to provide the leastamount of EMI interference, the lowest quiescent power dissipation,and the highest audio efficiency without sacrificingaudio quality.Input is provided via a serial audio interface, programmable toaccept all common audio formats including I2S and TDM. Controlof the IC is provided via an I2C control interface.
