Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAS3022 is a complete 16-bit, 1 MSPS, successive approximation–based analog-to-digital data acquisition system, which is manufactured on Analog Devices, Inc., proprietary iCMOS® high voltage industrial process technology. The device integrates an 8-channel, low leakage multiplexer; a high impedance programmable gain instrumentation amplifier (PGIA) stage with high common-mode rejection; a precision, low drift 4.096 V reference and buffer; and a 16-bit charge redistribution analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with successive approximation register (SAR) architecture. The ADAS3022 can resolve eight single-ended inputs or four fully differential inputs up to ±24.576 V when using ±15 V supplies. In addition, the device can accept the commonly used bipolar differential, bipolar single-ended, pseudo bipolar, or pseudo unipolar input signals, as shown in Table 1, thus enabling the use of almost any direct sensor interface. The ADAS3022 simplifies design challenges by eliminating signal buffering, level shifting, amplification/attenuation, common-mode rejection, settling time, and any other analog signal conditioning challenge while allowing a smaller form factor, faster time to market, and lower cost.APPLICATIONS Multichannel data acquisition and system monitoring Process control Power line monitoring Automated test equipment Instrumentation

The AD7609 is an 18-bit, 8-channel, true differential, simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition system (DAS). The part contains analog input clamp protection, a second-order antialiasing filter, a track-and-hold amplifier, an 18-bit charge redistribution successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a flexible digital filter, a 2.5 V reference and reference buffer, and high speed serial and parallel interfaces. The AD7609 operates from a single 5 V supply and can accommodate ±20 V and ±10 V true bipolar differential input signals while sampling at throughput rates up to 200 kSPS for all channels. The input clamp protection circuitry can tolerate voltages up to ±16.5 V on each analog input pin. The AD7609 has 1 MΩ analog input impedance regardless of sampling frequency. The single supply operation, on-chip filtering, and high input impedance eliminate the need for driver op amps and external bipolar supplies. The AD7609 antialiasing filter has a −3 dB cutoff frequency of 32 kHz and provides 40 dB antialias rejection when sampling at 200 kSPS. The flexible digital filter is pin driven, yields improvements in SNR, and reduces the −3 dB bandwidth. The LTC2452 is an ultra-tiny, fully differential, 16-bit, analog-to-digital converter. The LTC2452 uses a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and communicates through an SPI interface. The ADC is available in an 8-pin, 3mm × 2mm DFN package or TSOT-23 package. It includes an integrated oscillator that does not require any external components. It uses a delta-sigma modulator as a converter core and has no latency for multiplexed applications. The LTC2452 includes a proprietary input sampling scheme that reduces the average input sampling current several orders of magnitude when compared to conventional delta-sigma converters. Additionally, due to its architecture, there is negligible current leakage between the input pins. The LTC2452 can sample at 60 conversions per second, and due to the very large oversampling ratio, has extremely relaxed anti-aliasing requirements. The LTC2452 includes continuous internal offset and full-scale calibration algorithms which are transparent to the user, ensuring accuracy over time and over the operating temperature range. The converter has an external REF pin and the differential input voltage range can extend up to ±VREF .Following a single conversion, the LTC2452 can automatically enter a sleep mode and reduce its supply current to less than 0.2μA. If the user reads the ADC once a second, the LTC2452 consumes an average of less than 50μW from a 2.7V supply.Applications System Monitoring Environmental Monitoring Direct Temperature Measurements Instrumentation Industrial Process Control Data Acquisition Embedded ADC Upgrades
