EVAL-ADAR7251Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAR7251 is a 16-bit, 4-channel, simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed especially for applications such as automotive LSR-FMCW or FSK-FMCW radar systems. Each of the four channels contains a low noise amplifier (LNA), a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), an equalizer, a multibit Σ-Δ ADC, and a decimation filter. The front-end circuitry is designed to allow direct connection to an MMIC output with few external passive components. The ADAR7251 eliminates the need for a high order antialiasing filter, driver op amps, and external bipolar supplies. The ADAR7251 also offers precise channel-to-channel drift matching. The ADAR7251 features an on-chip phase-locked loop (PLL) that allows a range of clock frequencies for flexibility in the system. The CONV_START input and DATA_READY output signals synchronize the ADC with an external ramp for applications such as FSK-FMCW radar. The ADAR7251 supports serial and parallel interfaces at programmable sample rates from 300 kSPS to 1.8 MSPS, as well as easy connections to digital signal processors (DSPs) and microcontroller units (MCUs) in the system.APPLICATIONS Automotive LSR systems Data acquisition systems

AD7357BRUZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7357 is a dual, 14-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation ADC that operates from a single 2.5 V power supply and features throughput rates of up to 4.2 MSPS. The part contains two ADCs, each preceded by a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold circuit that can handle input frequencies in excess of 110 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs allowing for easy interfacing to microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS; conversion is also initiated at this point. The conversion time is determined by the SCLK frequency. The AD7357 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates. With a 2.5 V supply and a 4.2 MSPS throughput rate, the device consumes 14 mA typically. The part also offers flexible power/throughput rate management when operating in normal mode as the quiescent current consumption is so low.The analog input range for the device is the differential common mode ±VREF/2. The AD7357 has an on-chip 2.048 V reference that can be overdriven when an external reference is preferred. The AD7357 is available in a 16-lead thin shrink small outline package (TSSOP) and an 18-lead lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP).PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Two Complete ADC Functions. These functions allow simultaneous sampling and conversion of two channels. The conversion result of both channels is simultaneously available on separate data lines or in succession on one data line if only one serial port is available. High Throughput with Low Power Consumption. The AD7357 offers a 4.2 MSPS throughput rate with 36 mW power consumption. Simultaneous Sampling. The part features two standard successive approximation ADCs with accurate control of the sampling instant via a CS input and once off conversion control.APPLICATIONS Automotive radar Data acquisition systems Motion control I and Q demodulation RFID readers

AD7528LRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7528 is a monolithic dual 8-bit digital/analog converter featuring excellent DAC-to-DAC matching. It is available in skinny 0.3' wide 20-pin DIP's and in 20-terminal surface mount packages.Separate on-chip latches are provided for each DAC to allow easy microprocessor interface.Data is transferred into either of the two DAC data latches via a common 8-bit TTL/CMOS compatible input port. Control input DAC A/DAC B determines which DAC is to be loaded. The AD7528's load cycle is similar to the write cycle of a random access memory and the device is bus compatible with most 8-bit microprocessors, including 6800, 8080, 8085, Z80.The device operates from a +5V to +15V power supply, dissipating only 20mW of power. Both DAC's offer excellent four quadrant multiplication characteristics with a separate reference input and feedback resistor for each DAC.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS DAC-to-DAC matching: since both of the AD7528 DACs are fabricated at the same time on the same chip, precise matching and tracking between DAC A and DAC B is inherent. The AD7528’s matched CMOS DACs make a whole new range of applications circuits possible, particularly in the audio, graphics and process control areas. Small package size: combining the inputs to the on-chip DAC latches into a common data bus and adding a DAC A/DAC B select line has allowed the AD7528 to be packaged in either a small 20-lead DIP, SOIC or PLCC.APPLICATIONSDigital Control of: Gain/Attenuation Filter Parameters Stereo Audio Circuits X-Y Graphics

AD7537KRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7537 contains two 12-bit current output DAC's on one monolithic chip. A seperate reference input is provided for each DAC. The dual DAC saves valuable board space, and the monolithic construction ensures excellent thermal tracking. Both DAC's are guaranteed 12-bit monotonic over the full temperature range. The AD7537 has a 2-byte (8LSBs, 4MSBs) loading structure. It is designed for right-justified data format. The control signals for registering loading are A0, A1, CS, WR and UPD. Data is loaded to the input registers when CS and WR are low. To transfer this data to the DAC registers, UPD must be taken low with WR.Added features on the AD7537 include an asynchronous CLR line which is very useful in calibration routines. When this is taken low, all registers are cleares. The double buffering of the data inputs allows simultaneous update of both DAC's. Also, each DAC has a seperate AGND line. This increases the device versatility; for instance one DAC may be operated with AGND biased while the other is connected in the standard configuration. The AD7537 is manufactured using the Linear Compatible CMOS (LC²MOS) process. It is speed compatible with most microprocessors and accepts TTL, 74HC an 5V CMOS logic level inputs.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS DAC to DAC Matching: Since both DACs are fabricated on the same chip, precise matching and tracking is inherent. Many applications which are not practical using two discrete DACs are now possible. Typical matching: 0.5%. Small Package Size: The AD7537 is packaged in small 24-pin 0.3' DIPs and in 28-terminal surface mount packages. Wide Power Supply Tolerance: The device operates on a +12 V to +15 V VDD, with ±10% tolerance on this nominal figure. All specifications are guaranteed over this range.APPLICATIONS Automatic Test Equipment Programmable Filters Audio Applications Synchro Applications Process Control

AD7542BQ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7542 is a precision 12-bit CMOS multiplying DAC designed for direct interface to 4- or 8-bit microprocessors. The functional diagram shows the AD7542 to consist of three 4-bit data registers, a 12-bit DAC register, address decoding logic and a 12-bit CMOS multiplying DAC. Data is loaded into the data registers in three 4-bit bytes, and subsequently transferred to the 12-bit DAC register. All data loading or data transfer operations are identical to the WRITE cycle of a static RAM. A clear input allows the DAC register to be easily reset to all zeros when powering up the device.
