The AD678 is a complete, multipurpose 12-bit monolithic analog-to-digital converter, consisting of a sample-hold amplifier (SHA), a microprocessor compatible bus interface, a voltage reference and clock generation circuitry.The AD678 is specified for ac (or 'dynamic') parameters such as S/N+D ratio, THD and IMD which are important in signal processing applications. In addition, the AD678K, B and T grades are fully specified for dc parameters which are important in measurement applications.The AD678 offers a choice of digital interface formats; the 12 data bits can be accessed by a 16-bit bus in a single read operation or by an 8-bit bus in two read operations (8+4), with right or left justification. Data format is straight binary for unipolar mode and twos complement binary for bipolar mode. The input has a full-scale range of 10 V with a full power bandwidth of 1 MHz and a full linear bandwidth of 500 kHz. High input impedance (10 MΩ) allows direct connection to unbuffered sources without signal degradation.This product is fabricated on Analog Devices' BiMOS process, combining low power CMOS logic with high precision, low noise bipolar circuits; laser-trimmed thin-film resistors provide high accuracy. The converter utilizes a recursive subranging algorithm which includes error correction and flash converter circuitry to achieve high speed and resolution.The AD678 operates from +5 V and ±12 V supplies and dissipates 560 mW (typ). The AD7225 contains four 8-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converters, with output buffer amplifiers and interface logic on a single monolithic chip. Each D/A converter has a separate reference input terminal. No external trims are required to achieve full specified performance for the part.The double-buffered interface logic consists of two 8-bit registers per channel -an input register and a DAC register. Control inputs A0 and A1 determine which input register is loaded when WR goes low. Only the data held in the DAC registers determines the analog outputs of the converters. The double-buffering allows simultaneous update of all four outputs under control of LDAC. All logic inputs are TTL and CMOS (5V) level compatible and the control logic is speed compatible with most 8-bit microprocessors.Specified performance is guaranteed for input reference voltages from +2V to +12.5V when using dual supplies. The AD7247A accepts 12-bit parallel data which is loaded into the respective DAC latch using the WR input and a separate Chip Select input for each DAC. The AD7237A has a double buffered interface structure and an 8-bit wide data bus with data loaded to the respective input latch in two write operations. An asynchronous LDAC signal on the AD7237A updates the DAC latches and analog outputs.A REF OUT/REF IN function is provided which allows either the on-chip 5 V reference or an external reference to be used as a reference voltage for the part. For single supply operation, two output ranges of 0 V to +5 V and 0 V to +10 V are available, while these two ranges plus an additional ±5 V range are available with dual supplies. The output amplifiers are capable of developing +10 V across a 2 kΩ load to GND.The AD7237A / AD7247A is fabricated in Linear Compatible CMOS (LC2MOS), an advanced, mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low power CMOS logic. The rail-to-rail VREF input to DAC VOUT allows for a full-scale voltage set equal the positive supply VDD, the negative supply VSS or any value in between.The AD7304's doubled-buffered serial-data interface offers high-speed, three-wire, SPI and micro controller compatible inputs using data in (SDI), clock (CLK) and chip select (CS) pins. Additionally, an internal power-on reset sets the output to zero scale.The parallel input AD7305 uses a standard address decode along with the WR control line to load data into the input registers.The double buffered architecture allows all four input registers to be preloaded with new values followed by a LDAC control strobe which copies all the new data into the DAC registers thereby updating the analog output values. The AD7305 is pin-compatible with the popular industry standard AD7226 when operating from less than +5.5 V.An internal power ON reset places both parts in the zero-scale state at turn ON. A 40 µA power shutdown (SHDN) feature is activated on both parts by tri-stating the SDI/SHDN pin on the AD7304, and tri-stating the A0/SHDN address pin on the AD7305. The AD7304 / AD7305 are specified over the extended industrial (−40°C to +85°C), and the automotive (−40°C to +125°C) temperature ranges.

The AD7572 uses an accurate, high speed DAC and comparator in a successive-approximation loop to achieve a fast conversion time.An on-chip, buried Zener diode provides a stable reference voltage to give low drift performance over the full temperature range and the specified accuracy is achieved without any user trims. An on-chip clock circuit is provided, which may be used with a crystal for stand-alone operation, or the clock input may be driven from a external clock source such as a divided-down microprocessor clock. The only other external components required for basic operation of the AD7572 are decoupling capacitors for the supply voltages and reference output.

The AD7660 is a 16-bit, 100 kSPS, charge redistribution SAR,analog-to-digital converter that operates from a single 5 V powersupply. The part contains an internal conversion clock, error correctioncircuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports.The AD7660 is hardware factory-calibrated and is comprehensivelytested to ensure ac parameters such as signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD), in addition to themore traditional dc parameters of gain, offset, and linearity.It is fabricated using Analog Devices’ high performance,0.6 micron CMOS process with correspondingly low cost and isavailable in a 48-lead LQFP and a tiny 48-lead LFCSP withoperation specified from –40°C to +85°C.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Fast throughput The AD7660 is a 100 kSPS, charge redistribution, 16-bit SAR ADC with internal error correction circuitry. Superior INL The AD7660 has a maximum integral nonlinearity of 3 LSBs with no missing 16-bit code. Single-supply operation The AD7660 operates from a single 5 V supply and only dissipates 21 µW typical. Its power dissipation decreases with the throughput to, for instance, only 21 µW at a 100 SPS throughput. It consumes 7 µW maximum when in power-down.
