The ADE12011 is a single channel, configurable, isolated?digital input monitoring solution for energy transmission and?distribution applications. The ADE1201 is configured through?the serial port interface (SPI) to perform an isolated measurement?of the digital input that is also called binary input or contact?input. The ADE1201 digital output signal on the DOUT1 pin?reflects the state of the input signal after user configurable?signal conditioning. The SPI protocol supports addressing to?allow up to eight devices sharing one 4-wire SPI port.The ADE1201 application circuit accepts a wide range of input?voltages from ?10 V dc to ?300 V dc, or 8 V rms to 240 V rms.?The programmable wetting current and robust application?circuit enable the device to meet stringent, system level?electromagnetic capability (EMC) requirements.The ADE1201 includes an isoPower? integrated, isolated dc-to-dc?converter that eliminates the need for an external isolated power?supply. The iCoupler? chip scale transformer technology is?used to isolate the logic signals between the high voltage,?isolated side and the low voltage, nonisolated side of the?digital input monitor. The ADE7816 is a highly accurate, multichannel metering device that is capable of measuring one voltage channel and up to six current channels. It measures line voltage and current and calculates active and reactive energy, as well as instantaneous rms voltage and current. The device incorporates seven sigma-delta (?-?) ADCs with a high accuracy energy measurement core. The six current input channels allow multiple loads to be measured simultaneously. The voltage channel and the six current channels each have a complete signal path allowing for a full range of measurements. Each input channel supports a flexible gain stage and is suitable for use with current transformers (CTs). Six on-chip digital integrators facilitate the use of the Rogowski coil sensors.The ADE7816 provides access to on-chip meter registers via either the SPI or I2C interface. A dedicated high speed interface, the high speed data capture (HSDC) port, can be used in conjunction with I2C to provide access to real-time ADC output information. A full range of power quality information, such as overcurrent, overvoltage, peak, and sag detection, is accessible via the two external interrupt pins, IRQ0 and IRQ1.The ADE7816 energy metering IC operates from a 3.3 V supply voltage and is available in a 40-lead LFCSP that is Pb free and RoHS compliant.

The LTC2348-18 is an 18-bit, low noise 8-channel simultaneous sampling successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with differential, wide common mode range inputs. Operating from a 5V low voltage supply, flexible high voltage supplies, and using the internal reference and buffer, each channel of this SoftSpan? ADC can be independently configured on a conversion-by-conversion basis to accept ?10.24V, 0V to 10.24V, ?5.12V, or 0V to 5.12V signals. Individual channels may also be disabled to increase throughput on the remaining channels.The wide input common mode range and 118dB CMRR of the LTC2348-18 analog inputs allow the ADC to directly digitize a variety of signals, simplifying signal chain design. This input signal flexibility, combined with ?3LSB INL, no missing codes at 18 bits, and 96.7dB SNR, makes the LTC2348-18 an ideal choice for many high voltage applications requiring wide dynamic range.The LTC2348-18 supports pin-selectable SPI CMOS (1.8V to 5V) and LVDS serial interfaces. Demonstration circuit 2094A shows the proper way to drive the LTC®2348 family of ADCs. The LTC2348/LTC2347/LTC2343 are low noise, high speed, simultaneous sampling 16-/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs. The demo manual refers to the LTC2348-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2348-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.
