The ADuM1250/ADuM1251 are hot swappable digital isolators with non-latching, bidirectional communication channels that are compatible with I2C interfaces. This eliminates the need for splitting I2C signals into separate transmit and receive signals for use with standalone optocouplers.The ADuM1250 provides two bidirectional channels, supporting a complete isolated I2C interface. The ADuM1251 provides one bidirectional channel and one unidirectional channel for applications where a bidirectional clock is not required.Both the ADuM1250 and the ADuM1251 contain hot swap circuitry to prevent glitching data when an unpowered card is inserted onto an active bus.These isolators are based on the iCoupler® chip scale transformer technology from Analog Devices, Inc. iCoupler is a magnetic isolation technology with functional, performance, size, and power consumption advantages as compared to optocouplers. The ADuM1402 is a quad-channel digital isolator with 2/2 channel directionality based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology, this isolation component provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocoupler devices.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with opto-couplers. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics.The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with iCoupler products. Furthermore, iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth of the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates.The ADuM1400 / ADuM1401 / ADuM1402 isolators provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide in the data sheet). All models operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. In addition, the ADuM1400 / ADuM1401 / ADuM1402 provide low pulse width distortion (<2 ns for CRW grade) and tight channel-to-channel matching (<2 ns for CRW grade). The ADuM520x are dual channel digital isolators with isoPower, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based onthe Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, the dc-to-dcconverter provides up to 500 mW of regulated, isolated powerwith 5.0 V input and 5.0 V output voltage, or 200 mW of power with 3.3 V input and 3.3 V output voltage. This eliminates the need for a separate isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power isolated designs. The Analog Devices chip scale transformer iCoupler technology is used for the isolation of the logic signals as well as for the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, total isolation solution.ADuM520x units may be used in combination with ADuM5401, ADuM5402, ADuM5403, ADuM5404 and ADuM5000 with isoPower® to achieve higher output power levels and greater channel counts (see the Increasing Available Power section).The ADuM520x isolators provide two independent isolationchannels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates(see the Ordering Guide for options).isoPower uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. The MAX96705A is a compact serializer with features especially suited for automotive camera applications. It is function and pin compatible with the MAX9271. In high-bandwidth mode, the parallel-clock maximum is 116MHz for 12-bit linear or combined HDR data types.The embedded control channel operates at 9.6kbps to 1Mbps in UART, I2C, and mixed UART/I2C modes, allowing programming of serializer, deserializer, and camera registers independent of video timing.For driving longer cables, the IC has programmable pre/deemphasis. Programmable spread spectrum is available on the serial output. The serial output meets ISO 10605 and IEC 61000-4-2 ESD standards. The core supply range is 1.7V to 1.9V, and the I/O supply range is 1.7V to 3.6V.The MAX96705A is available in a 32-pin (5mm x 5mm) TQFN package with 0.5mm lead pitch, and operates over the -40°C to +115°C temperature range.ApplicationsAutomotive Camera Applications
