The LTC3875 is a dual output current mode synchronous step-down DC/DC controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stages. It employs a unique architecture that enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the current sense signal, allowing the use of very low DC resistance (DCR) power inductors to maximize efficiency in high current applications. This feature also reduces the switching jitter commonly found in low DCR applications with current mode control.The LTC3875 features two high speed differential amplifiers which can be used to compensate for the voltage drop from the LTC3875 to the load. The LT8709 is a synchronous PWM controller for negative-to-negative or negative-to-positive DC/DC conversion, with rail-to-rail output current monitor and control. The LT8709 is ideal for many local power supply designs. The LTC3331 integrates a high voltage energy harvesting power supply plus a buck-boost DC/DC powered from a rechargeable battery to create a single output supply for alternative energy applications. A 10mA shunt allows simple charging of the battery with harvested energy while a low battery disconnect function protects the battery from deep discharge. The energy harvesting power supply, consisting of an integrated full-wave bridge rectifier and a high voltage buck DC/DC, harvests energy from piezoelectric, solar, or magnetic sources. Either DC/DC converter can deliver energy to a single output. The buck operates when harvested energy is available, reducing the quiescent current draw on the battery to the 200nA required by the shunt charger, thereby extending the life of the battery. The buck-boost powers VOUT only when harvested energy is unavailable.A supercapacitor balancer is also integrated, allowing for increased output storage. Demonstration circuit 2157A features the LTM4630EY-1, the high efficiency, high density, dual 18A, switch mode step-down power module regulator with ±0.8% total DC output accuracy. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 1.8V. DC2157A can deliver up to 18A maximum in each channel. With the help of external compensation, ±3% transient accuracy can be achieved with 25% load step. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE jumper (JP1) selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. Two outputs can be connected in parallel for a single 36A output solution with optional jumper resistors.

Demonstration circuit 2161A showcases the LTC4231 Micropower Hot Swap™ Controller in a 12V, 3A application. Included on the board are input overvoltage and reverse voltage protection, input voltage dividers for UV and OV detection, an output voltage LED, jumpers to disable UV/OV, manual and remote enable control, and quiescent current measurement. Demonstration circuit 2190A is a high output voltage, high efficiency synchronous PolyPhase® buck converter featuring the LTC3892EFE-1. This demo circuit is available in two versions. The input voltage range of both versions is from 16V to 55V. The DC2190A-A is configured using two each LTC3892EFE-1 devices with 4-phase interleaving operation which provides a 12V/60A output, while the DC2190A-B is configured using one LTC3892EFE-1 device with 2-phase interleaving operation which provides a 12V/30A output.
