Demonstration circuits 1387A-A and A-B are Ultralow Power Boost Converters with Output Disconnect featuring the LT8410 and LT8410-1. Both versions convert a 3V-10V source. The -A version supplies 1.6mA at 3VIN and the -B supplies 0.5mA. Both versions feature a low noise variable off-time and variable peak current control scheme, integrated Schottky diode and output disconnect function, ultralow quiescent current, built-in soft-start and overvoltage protection.

The LTC1436A/LTC1437A are synchronous step-down switching regulator controllers that drive external N-channel power MOSFETs in a phase lockable, fixed frequency architecture. The Adaptive Power? output stage selectively drives two N-channel MOSFETs at frequencies up to 400kHz while reducing switching losses to maintain high efficiencies at low output currents.An auxiliary 0.5A linear regulator using an external PNP pass device provides a low noise, low dropout voltage source. Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, it allows this new regulator to be used in many applications with adjustability to zero output. The LT3082 has an input range of 1.2V to 40V, but the demo board limits this range to 2.8V to 35V. The LT3082 withstands reverse input voltages and reverse output-to-input voltages without reverse-current flow.

It has a wide 4.5V to 45V input range and internal over voltage monitor capable of protecting the part through 60V surges. The jumper selectable output is up to 5V. LTC3631 can supply up to 100mA load current with a programmable peak current limit that provides a simple method for optimizing efficiency in lower current applications. With no compensation required, LTC3631 is easily configured with minimal components.

Demonstration circuit 1526 is a monolithic step-down DC/DC switching regulator featuring the LT3991. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 2MHz. The demo circuit is designed for 3.3V, 1.2A output from a 4.5V to 55V input. The wide input range of the LT3991 allows a variety of input sources including automotive batteries and 24V industrial supplies. Low ripple Burst Mode increases the efficiency at the light load while keeping the output ripple below 15mV. The part is in shutdown when the EN pin is low and active when the pin is high. The threshold of the EN pin is accurate at 1.01V with 30mV of hysteresis. When VIN is above 6V, adding a resistor divider from VIN to EN can program the LT3991 to regulate the output only when VIN is above a desired voltage. The circuit consumes only 2.8μA of quiescent current. The boost diode, control and logic circuit are integrated to reduce the components count and solution size. The current mode control scheme creates fast transient response and good loop stability.
