The LT3840 is a high voltage synchronous step-down switching regulator controller capable of operating from a 2.5V to 60V supply.The LT3840?s low quiescent current, when configured for user selectable Burst Mode operation, helps extend run time in battery-powered systems by increasing efficiency at light loads. The LT3840 uses a constant frequency, current mode architecture. High current applications are possible with large N-channel gate drivers capable of driving multiple low RDS(ON) MOSFETs.An integrated buck-boost switching regulator generates a 7.5V bias supply voltage for MOSFET gate drive and IC power allowing higher efficiency operation over the entire input voltage range and eliminating the need for an external bias voltage. An accurate current limit set point regulates the maximum output current. The LT4363 surge stopper protects loads from high voltage transients. It regulates the output during an overvoltage event, such as load dump in vehicles, by controlling the gate of an external N-channel MOSFET. The output is limited to a safe value allowing the loads to continue functioning. The LT4363 also monitors the voltage drop between the SNS and OUT pins to protect against overcurrent faults. An internal amplifier limits the voltage across the current sense resistor to 50mV. In either fault condition, a timer is started inversely proportional to MOSFET stress. Before the timer expires, the FLT pin pulls low to warn of an impending power down. If the condition persists, the MOSFET is turned off. The LT4363-1 remains off until reset whereas the LT4363-2 restarts after a cool down period.Two precision comparators can monitor the input supply for overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. When the potential is below the UV threshold, the external MOSFET is kept off. If the input supply voltage is above the OV threshold, the MOSFET is not allowed to turn back on. Back-to-back MOSFETs can be used in lieu of a Schottky diode for reverse input protection, reducing voltage drop and power loss. The LTC3350 is a backup power controller that can charge and monitor a series stack of one to four supercapacitors. The LTC3350?s synchronous step-down controller drives N?channel MOSFETs for constant current/constant voltage charging with programmable input current limit. In addition, the step-down converter can run in reverse as a step-up converter to deliver power from the supercapacitor stack to the backup supply rail. Internal balancers eliminate the need for external balance resistors and each capacitor has a shunt regulator for overvoltage protection.The LTC3350 monitors system voltages, currents, stack capacitance and stack ESR which can all be read over the I2C/SMBus. The dual ideal diode controller uses N-channel MOSFETs for low loss power paths from the input and supercapacitors to the backup system supply. Assembled in a 3mm ? 4mm QFN, the monolithic construction with integrated power switches and inclusion of all necessary circuitry yields a solution with a minimal PCB footprint. An ultralow 2.5?A quiescent current?with the output in full regulation? enables applications requiring highest efficiency at very small load currents. Transient response remains excellent and output voltage ripple is below 10mVP-P at any load, from zero to full current.The LT8614 allows high VIN to low VOUT conversion at high frequency with a fast minimum top switch on-time of 30ns. Operation is safe in overload even with a saturated inductor.Essential features are included and easy to use: An open-drain PG pin signals when the output is in regulation. The SYNC pin allows clock synchronization and choice of Burst Mode operation or pulse-skipping mode. Soft-start and tracking functionality is accessed via the TR/SS pin. Demonstration circuit 2041A is a regulated output voltage switched-capacitor step-down power supply featuring the 50mA output LTC3255. When VIN exceeds VOUT by more the 2:1, a 2:1 step-down architecture is used to efficiently regulate the output voltage, reducing the input current needed. As VIN reduces below twice VOUT, the LTC3255 will automatically switch to 1:1 mode. The demo board has a 4V to 48V input votlage range and a jumper-selectable output voltage than can be set to 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, 12V or a user-defined value. The LTC3255 also has an integrated shunt regulator allowing it to provide a regulated output from a 4mA to 20mA current loop. The LTC3255 is a robust device that can survive -52V/60V reverse polarity input supplies, and features short-circuit protection and overtemperature protection.

Demonstration circuit 2081A-A features the LTM4630EV, the high efficiency, high density, dual 18A, switch mode step-down μModule® regulator. The input voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.6V to 1.8V. DC2081A-A is configured as dual-phase, single-output, which can deliver up to 36A maximum. The board designs with minimum components to demonstrate this high efficiency, high density μModule. As explained in the data sheet, output current de-rating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions.

Demonstration circuit 2105A is a 500mA output DC/DC power supply. There are two versions: DC2105A-A is a board featuring LTC3630A in the exposed pad MSOP-16 package, with 4V to 76V input range; DC2105A-B is a board featuring LTC3630, with 4V to 65V input range. The LTC3630A operates in a high efficiency Burst Mode® operation and includes internal high and low side switches. The board provides jumper selected output voltages of 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V and an option for additional voltages. LTC3630A has internal soft-start and a provision for increasing soft-start time.
