DC2205A

Analog Devices Inc.
The LT8495 is an adjustable frequency (250kHz to 1.5MHz) monolithic switching regulator with a power-on reset and watchdog timer. Quiescent current can be less than 9μA when operating and is ~0.3μA when SWEN, WDE and RSTIN are low. Configurable as a SEPIC, boost or flyback converter, the low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output current while keeping output ripple below 10mV. Dual supply pins (VIN and BIAS) allow the part to automatically operate from the most efficient supply. Input supply voltage can be up to 60V for SEPIC topologies and up to 32V (with ride-through up to 60V) for boost and flyback topologies. After start-up, battery life is extended since the part can draw current from its output (BIAS) even when VIN voltage drops below 2.5V.The reset and watchdog timeout periods are independently adjustable using external capacitors. Using a resistor divider on the SWEN pin provides a programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for the converter. A resistor divider connected to RSTIN provides UVLO control that asserts the RST pin.Additional features such as frequency foldback and soft-start are integrated. Fault tolerance in the TSSOP allows for adjacent pin shorts or an open without raising the output voltage above its programmed value. The LT8495 is available in 20-lead QFN and 20-lead TSSOP packages with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.Applications Automotive ECU Power Power for Portable Products Industrial Supplies

AD780BNZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD780 is an ultrahigh precision band gap reference voltage that provides a 2.5 V or 3.0 V output from inputs between 4.0 V and 36 V. Low initial error and temperature drift combined with low output noise and the ability to drive any value of capacitance make the AD780 the ideal choice for enhancing the performance of high resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and for any general purpose precision reference application. A unique low headroom design facilitates a 3.0 V output from a 5.0 V ± 10% input, providing a 20% boost to the dynamic range of an ADC over performance with existing 2.5 V references. The AD780 can be used to source or sink up to 10 mA and can be used in series or shunt mode, thus allowing positive or negative output voltages without external components. This makes it suitable for virtually any high performance reference application. Unlike some competing references, the AD780 has no region of possible instability. The part is stable under all load conditions when a 1 µF bypass capacitor is used on the supply.A temperature output pin on the AD780 provides an output voltage that varies linearly with temperature, allowing the part to be configured as a temperature transducer while providing a stable 2.5 V or 3.0 V output. The AD780 is a pin-compatible performance upgrade for the LT1019(A)-2.5 and the AD680. The latter is targeted toward low power applications. The AD780 is available in three grades in PDIP and SOIC packages. The AD780AN, AD780AR, AD780BN, AD780BR, and AD780CR are specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD780 provides a pin programmable 2.5 V or 3.0 V output from a 4 V to 36 V input. Laser trimming of both initial accuracy and temperature coefficients results in low errors over temperature without the use of external components. The AD780BN has a maximum variation of 0.9 mV from −40°C to +85°C. For applications that require even higher accuracy, an optional fine-trim connection is provided. The AD780 noise is extremely low, typically 4 mV p-p from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz and a wideband spectral noise density of typically 100 nV/√Hz. This can be further reduced, if desired, by using two external capacitors. The temperature output pin enables the AD780 to be configured as a temperature transducer while providing a stable output reference.

ADM13307-18ARZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM13307 is a triple voltage supervisor designed to monitor up to three voltage levels in DSP and microprocessor-based systems. There are five models available, all of which feature a combination of internally pretrimmed undervoltage threshold options for monitoring 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V supplies. There are also two adjustable input options with undervoltage thresholds of either 0.6 V or 1.25 V.The ADM13307-18, ADM13307-25, and ADM13307-33 models have two internally fixed thresholds and one externally programmable threshold via a resistor string. The ADM13307-4 and ADM13307-5 offer one internally fixed threshold and two externally programmable thresholds. See the Data Sheet Ordering Guide for a list of all available options.During power-up, RESET is asserted when the supply voltage exceeds 1.1 V. The device then monitors the SENSEv input pins and holds the RESET output low as long as the SENSEv pins remain below the rising threshold voltage, VIT+.Once the supplies monitored at the SENSEv inputs rise above their associated thresholds, the reset signal remains low for the reset timeout period before deasserting. Subsequently, if a voltage monitored by the SENSEv pins falls below its associated falling input threshold voltage, VIT−, the RESET output asserts. The ADM13307 features both an active high RESET and an active low RESET output. The manual reset input of the ADM13307 can be used to initiate a reset by means of an external push button or logic signal. The ADM13307 is available in an 8-lead narrow body SOIC package. The device operates over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.APPLICATIONS Supervising DSPs/microcontrollers Industrial and portable equipment Wireless systems Notebook/desktop computers

ADM6713SAKSZ-REEL7

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM6711 / ADM6713 are reset generator circuits suitable for use in microprocessor-based systems. They provide a reset signal on power-up, power-down, and whenever the supply voltage falls below a preset threshold. In addition, both parts have a debounced manual reset input so that a reset signal can also be initiated with an external switch or logic signal. With six different reset threshold options available ranging from 2.32 V to 4.63 V, the ADM6711 / ADM6713 are suitable for monitoring 2.5 V, 3 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V supplies. A reset timeout of at least 140 ms occurs when VCC rises above the threshold. This gives the supply voltage time to stabilize before the microprocessor starts up.The ADM6711 has a push-pull output, so no additional external components are needed. The ADM6713 open-drain output requires an external pull-up resistor that can be connected to a voltage higher than VCC, if desired. The parts are highly reliable with accurate voltage references and immunity to fast, negative-going transients on VCC. Low current consumption and space-efficient, 4-lead SC70 packaging make the ADM6711 / ADM6713 ideal for use in low power portable applications.APPLICATIONS Microprocessor systems Computers Controllers Intelligent instruments Automotive systems

ADM1075-1ARUZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1075 is a full feature, negative voltage, hot swap controllerwith constant power foldback and high accuracy digital currentand voltage measurement that allows boards to be safely insertedand removed from a live -48 V backplane. The part providesprecise and robust current limiting and protection against bothtransient and nontransient short circuits and overvoltage andundervoltage conditions. The ADM1075 typically operates froma negative voltage of -35 V to -80 V and, due to shunt regulation, has excellent voltage transient immunity. The operating range ofthe part is flexible due to the shunt regulator, and the part can bepowered directly by a 10 V rail to save shunt power dissipation(see the Powering the ADM1075 section for more details).A full-scale current limit of 25 mV or 50 mV can be selected bychoosing the appropriate model. The maximum current limit isset by the combination of the sense resistor, RSENSE, and the inputvoltage on the ISET pin, using external resistors. This allows finetuning of the trip voltage so that standard sense resistors can beused. Inrush current is limited to this programmable value bycontrolling the gate drive of an external N-channel FET. A builtinsoft start function allows control of the inrush current profile byan external capacitor on the soft start (SS) pin.Refer to the datasheet for more information.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Constant Power Foldback. Maximum FET power set by a PLIM resistor divider. This eases complexity when designing to maintain FET SOA. Adjustable Current Limit. The current limit is adjustable via the ISET pin allowing for the use of a standard value sense resistor. 12-Bit ADC. Accurate voltage, current, and power measurements. Also enables calculation of energy consumption over time. PMBus Interface. PMBus fast mode compliant interface used to read back status and data registers and set warning and fault limits. Fault Recording. Latched status registers provide useful debugging information to help trace faults in high reliability systems. Built-In Soft Start. Soft start capacitor controls inrush current profile with di/dt control.APPLICATIONS Telecommunication and data communication equipment Central office switching -48 V distributed power systems Negative power supply control High availability servers
