The ADuM5020 is an isoPower?, integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology, the dc-to-dc converter provides regulated, isolated power that is below CISPR22 Class B limits at full load on a 2-layer printed circuit board (PCB) with ferrites. The ADuM5020 eliminates the need to design and build an isolated dc-to-dc converter in 500 mW applications. The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology is used for the magnetic components of the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, isolated solution. The ADuM5020 isolated dc-to-dc converter is available in a wide-body 16-lead SOIC package.Applications RS-485/RS-422/CAN transceiver power Power supply startup bias and gate drives Isolated sensor interfaces Industrial PLCs

LT8333 | Low IQ Boost/SEPIC/Inverting Converter with 3A, 40V Switch
Analog Devices Inc.
Evaluation circuit EVAL-LT8333-AZ features the LT8333 in a SEPIC configuration. It operates with a switching frequency of 2MHz and is designed to convert a 3V to 26V source to 12V output. The converter can output up to 1.25A depending on the input voltage (see Figure 3 in the demo manual, maximum output current vs VIN curve).
This evaluation circuit features Spread Spectrum Frequency Modulation (SSFM) and EMI filters to provide optimum EMI performance. This PCB layout is optimized for good EMI performance and small solution size. The evaluation board contains a selectable jumper, JP1, to aid in the selection of the desired SYNC pin mode of operation. At light load, either pulse-skipping (PULSE SKIP) or low-ripple Burst Mode® operation (BURST) can be selected to improve the efficiency.
The LT8333 boost/SEPIC/inverting converter IC operates over an input range of 2.8V to 40V, suitable for automotive, telecom, and industrial applications. The converter provides adjustable and synchronizable operation from 300kHz to 2MHz with SSFM option. The LT8333 packs other popular features such as soft-start, bias pin, input undervoltage lockout. The IC can exhibit a low quiescent current down to 9μA in BURST mode and 1μA in shutdown, which makes it ideal for battery-operated systems. The LT8333 is assembled in a thermally enhanced 10-lead 3mm × 3mm DFN package.
The data sheet gives a complete description of the device, operation, and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with the demo manual for EVAL-LT8333-AZ.

The LTC3413 is a high efficiency monolithic synchronous step-down DC/DC converter utilizing a constant frequency, current mode architecture. It operates from an input voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V and provides a regulated output voltage equal to (0.5)VREF while sourcing or sinking up to 3A of output current. An internal voltage divider reduces component count and eliminates the need for external resistors by dividing the reference voltage in half. The internal synchronous power switch with 85m? on-resistance increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. Switching frequencies up to 2MHz are set by an external resistor.Forced-continuous operation in the LTC3413 reduces noise and RF interference. Fault protection is provided by an overcurrent comparator that limits output current during both sourcing and sinking operations. Adjustable compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of loads and output capacitors.Applications Bus Termination: DDR and QDR? Memory, SSTL, HSTL, ... The LTC4006 is a complete constant-current/constant voltage charger controller for 2-, 3- or 4-cell lithium batteries in a small package using few external components. The PWM controller is a synchronous, quasi-constant frequency, constant off-time architecture that will not generate audible noise even when using ceramic capacitors. The LTC4006 is available in 8.4V, 12.6V and 16.8V versions with ?0.8% voltage accuracy. Charging current is programmable with a single sense resistor to ?4% typical accuracy. Charging current can be monitored as a representative voltage at the IMON pin. A timer, programmed by an external resistor, sets the total charge time or is reset to 25% of total charge time after C/10 charging current is reached. Charging automatically resumes when the cell voltage falls below 3.9V/cell.Fully discharged cells are automatically trickle charged at 10% of the programmed current until the cell voltage exceeds 2.5V/cell. Charging terminates if the low-battery condition persists for more than 25% of the total charge time. The LTC4006 includes a thermistor sensor input that suspends charging if an unsafe temperature condition is detected and automatically resumes charging when the battery temperature returns to within safe limits.Applications Notebook Computers Portable Instruments Battery-Backup Systems Standalone Li-Ion Chargers

The LTC3251/LTC3251-1.2/LTC3251-1.5 are 2-phase charge pump step-down DC/DC converters that produce a regulated output from a 2.7V to 5.5V input. The parts use switched capacitor fractional conversion to achieve twice the typical efficiency of a linear regulator. No inductors are required. VOUT is resistor programmable from 0.9V to 1.6V or fixed at 1.2V or 1.5V, with up to 500mA of load current available.A unique 2-phase spread spectrum architecture provides a very low noise regulated output as well as low noise at the input. The parts have four operating modes: Continuous Spread Spectrum, Spread Spectrum with Burst Mode operation, Super Burst? mode operation and shutdown.Low operating current (35?A in Burst Mode operation, 10?A in Super Burst mode operation) and low external parts count make the LTC3251/LTC3251-1.2/LTC3251-1.5 ideally suited for space-constrained battery-powered applications. The parts are short-circuit and over-temperature protected, and are available in a thermally enhanced 10-pin MSOP package.Applications Handheld Devices Cellular Phones Portable Electronic Equipment DSP Power Supplies

The LTC3729 is a multiple phase, synchronous step-down current mode switching regulator controller that drives N-channel external power MOSFET stages in a phase-lockable fixed frequency architecture. The PolyPhase controller drives its two output stages out of phase at frequencies up to 550kHz to minimize the RMS ripple currents in both input and output capacitors. The output clock signal allows expansion for up to 12 evenly phased controllers for systems requiring 15A to 200A of output current. The multiple phase technique effectively multiplies the fundamental frequency by the number of channels used, improving transient response while operating each channel at an optimum frequency for efficiency. Thermal design is also simplified. An internal differential amplifier provides true remote sensing of the regulated supply?s positive and negative output terminals as required for high current applications.A RUN/SS pin provides both soft-start and optional timed, short-circuit shutdown. Current foldback limits MOSFET dissipation during short-circuit conditions when the overcurrent latchoff is disabled. OPTI-LOOP compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. The LTC3729 includes a power good output pin that indicates when the output is within ?7.5% of the designed set point.
