DC1242A: Demo Board for the LTC3537 - 2.2 MHz, 600mA Synchronous Step-Up DC/DC Converter and 100mA LDO

Demonstration circuit 1247A features the LT3582 an I2C Programmable Boost and Single Inductor Inverting DC/DC Converters with OTP. It converts a 2.7V-5.5V source to two outputs, a positive and a negative. The positive output can be programmed from 3.2V to 12.775V at 25mV intervals and the negative from -1.2V to -13.95V at 50mV intervals, all via the QuickEval™ System. A DC590B is needed for evaluation of this demo board. Table 1 below shows the maximum expected load currents for some output/input combinations. Check Maximum Load Current section on datasheet for other combinations. The LT3582 features all integrated switches and feedback resistors, a low noise control scheme, positive output disconnect function, low quiescent current, built in softstart.

Demonstration circuits 1387A-A and A-B are Ultralow Power Boost Converters with Output Disconnect featuring the LT8410 and LT8410-1. Both versions convert a 3V-10V source. The -A version supplies 1.6mA at 3VIN and the -B supplies 0.5mA Both versions feature a low noise variable off-time and variable peak current control scheme, integrated Schottky diode and output disconnect function, ultralow quiescent current, built-in soft-start and overvoltage protection.

The LTC3603 is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous step-down DC/DC converter utilizing a constant-frequency, current mode architecture. It operates from an input voltage range of 4.5V to 15V and provides an adjustable regulated output voltage from 0.6V to 14.5V while delivering up to 2.5A of output current. The internal synchronous power switch with 45m? on-resistance increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. The switching frequency can either be set by an external resistor or synchronized to an external clock. OPTI-LOOP? compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of loads and output capacitors.The LTC3603 can be configured for either Burst Mode operation or forced continuous operation. Forced continuous operation reduces noise and RF interference, while Burst Mode operation provides the highest efficiency at light loads. Demonstration circuit DC1477B features the LTM4609EV, the high voltage, high efficiency, high density switch mode buck-boost power module. The LTM4609EV regulates an output voltage above, below, or equal to the input voltage. DC1477B accepts an input voltage from 10V to 36V with a preset output voltage of 30V at up to 3A. Derating may be necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. An optional input π filter is added on the DC1477B to minimize the input ripple. The switching frequency may be synchronized to an external clock from 200kHz to 400kHz to reduce undesirable frequency harmonics and/or parallel multiple modules for even higher output current.

The LT1339 is a high power synchronous current mode switching regulator controller. The IC drives dual N-channel MOSFETs to create a single IC solution for high power DC/DC converters in applications up to 60V.The LT1339 incorporates programmable average current limiting, allowing accurate limiting of DC load current independent of inductor ripple current. The IC also incorporates user-adjustable slope compensation for minimization of magnetics at duty cycles up to 90%.The LT1339 timing oscillator operating frequency is programmable and can be synchronized up to 150kHz. Demonstration circuit 1527 is a monolithic step-down DC/DC switching regulator featuring the LT3971. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 2MHz. The demo circuit is designed for 3.3V, 1.2A output from a 4.5V to 38V input. The circuit consumes only 2.8μA of quiescent current.
