The ADP3301 is a member of the ADP330x family of precision low dropout anyCAP® voltage regulators. The ADP3301 stands out from the conventional LDOs with a novel architecture, an enhanced process and a new package. Its patented design includes a noninverting wideband driver and a stage that permits the use of an internal “pole splitting” capacitor to stabilize the feedback loop with a single output capacitor as small as 0.47 µF. This device is stable with any type of capacitor regardless of its ESR (Equivalent Serial Resistance) value, including ceramic types (MLCC) for space restricted applications. The ADP3301 achieves exceptional accuracy of ±0.8% at room temperature and ±1.4% overall accuracy over temperature, line and load regulations. The dropout voltage of the ADP3301 is only 100 mV (typical) at 100 mA.In addition to the new architecture and process, ADI’s new proprietary thermally enhanced package (Thermal Coastline) can handle 1 W of power dissipation without external heat sink or large copper surface on the PC board. This keeps PC board real estate to a minimum and makes the ADP3301 very attractive for use in portable equipment.The ADP3301 operates with a wide input voltage range from 3 V to 12 V and delivers a load current in excess of 100 mA. It features an error flag that signals when the device is about to lose regulation or when the short circuit or thermal overload protection is activated. Other features include shutdown and optional noise reduction capabilities. The 300 mA, adjustable dual output ADP223/ADP225 and fixed dual output ADP222/ADP224 combine high PSRR, low noise, low quiescent current, and low dropout voltage in a voltage regulator that is ideally suited for wireless applications with demanding performance and board space requirements.The low quiescent current, low dropout voltage, and wide input voltage range of the ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 extend the battery life of portable devices.The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 maintain power supply rejection greater than 60 dB for frequencies as high as 100 kHz while operating with a low headroom voltage. The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 offer much lower noise performance than competing LDOs without the need for a noise bypass capacitor. The ADP5024 combines two high performance buck regulators and one low dropout (LDO) regulators in a small, 24-lead 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP to meet demanding performance and board space requirements. The high switching frequency of the buck regulators enables tiny multilayer external components and minimizes the board space. When the MODE pin is set high, the buck regulators operate in forced PWM mode. When the MODE pin is set low, the buck regulators operate in PWM mode when the load current is above a predefined threshold. When the load current falls below a pre-defined threshold, the regulator operates in power save mode (PSM), improving the light load efficiency. The two bucks operate out of phase to reduce the input capacitor requirement. The low quiescent current, low dropout voltage, and wide input voltage range of the LDO extends the battery life of portable devices. The ADP5024 LDO maintains power supply rejection greater than 60 dB for frequencies as high as 10 kHz while operating with a low headroom voltage.Regulators in the ADP5024 are activated though dedicated enable pins. This high input voltage LDO is ideal for regulation of high performance analog and mixed signal circuits operating from 19 V to 1.22 V rails. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, it provides high power supply rejection, low noise, and achieves excellent line and load transient response with just a small 1 μF ceramic output capacitor. The ADP7102 is available in seven fixed output voltage options and an adjustable version, which allows output voltages that range from 1.22 V to VIN − VDO via an external feedback divider. The ADP7102 output noise voltage is 15 μV rms and is independent of the output voltage. A digital power good output allows power system monitors to check the health of the output voltage. A user programmable precision undervoltage lockout function facilitates sequencing of multiple power supplies. The ADP7102 is available in 8-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP and 8-lead SOIC packages.
