The LT3585 series are highly integrated ICs designed to charge photo?ash capacitors in digital and ?lm cameras. A new control technique allows for the use of extremely small transformers. Each part contains an on-chip high voltage NPN power switch. Output voltage detection is completely contained within the part, eliminating the need for any discrete zener diodes or resistors. The output voltage can be adjusted by simply changing the turns ratio of the transformer. The CHRG/IADJ pin gives full control of the part to the user. Driving CHRG/IADJ low puts the part in low power shutdown. The CHRG/IADJ pin can also be used to reduce the input current of the charger, useful in extending battery life. The DONE pin indicates when the part has completed charging. The LT3585 series of parts are housed in tiny 3mm ? 2mm DFN packages.Applications Digital/Film Camera Flash PDA/Cell Phone Flash Emergency Strobe

LT3472EDD | Boost and Inverting DC/DC Converters, VIN = 2.7V – 4.2V, VOUT1 = 15V @ 25mA–45mA, VOUT2 = –8V @ 35mA–65mA

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 760 is a dual, output, 1.1MHz Boost/Inverter in a 3mm x 3mm DFN featuring the LT3472EDD. The demo circuit demonstrates small size and low component count in a Boost Circuit and an Inverting Circuit. The Boost Converter is designed to convert a 2.7V–4.2V input to 15V output at 25mA– 45mA load. The Inverting Circuit generates a –8V output at 35mA–65mA from the same input. Since the maximum VIN of the LT3472EDD is 16V, this demo circuit will work well at higher inputs. The only limitation is the 10V rating of the input capacitor.

The LTM4600 is a complete 10A, DC/DC step down power supply. Included in the package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor, and all support components. Operating over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V, the LTM4600 supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5V, set by a single resistor. This high efficiency design delivers 10A continuous current (14A peak), needing no heat sinks or airflow to meet power specifications. Only bulk input and output capacitors are needed to finish the design. The low profile package (2.82mm) enables utilization of unused space on the bottom of PC boards for high density point of load regulation. High switching frequency and an adaptive on-time current mode architecture enables a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability. Fault protection features include integrated overvoltage and short circuit protection with a defeatable shutdown timer. A built-in soft-start timer is adjustable with a small capacitor. The LTM4600 is packaged in a compact (15mm ? 15mm) and low profile (2.82mm) over-molded Land Grid Array (LGA) package suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment. The LTM4600 is RoHS compliant.Applications Telecom and Networking Equipment Servers Industrial Equipment Point of Load Regulation

LT3028DHC Demo Board | Dual Input, Dual Output Linear Regulator, 2.3V ≤ VIN ≤ 20V, VOUT1 = 2.5V/3.3V/5V @ 500mA, VOUT2 = 2.5V/3.3V/5V @ 100mA

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 832 is a dual output, dual input regulator consisting of two LDO linear regulators, based on the LT3028 monolithic linear regulator in the 5×3 DFN-16 package. Each independent input has a voltage range of 2.3V to 20V, with one output (VOUT1) capable of delivering up to 500mA of output current, and the other output (VOUT2) capable of delivering up to 100mA of output current. The two output voltages are set independently with jumpers; each can be set to 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V or a user-defined value (two jumper options for this). The DC quiescent current is typically only 50uA (for the entire IC) at no load.
