The ADA4961 is a high performance, BiCMOS RF digital gain amplifier (DGA), optimized for driving heavy loads out to 2.0 GHz and beyond. The device typically achieves −90 dBc IMD3 performance at 500 MHz and −85 dBc at 1.5 GHz. This RF performance allows GHz converters to achieve their optimum performance with minimal limitations of the driver amplifier or constraints on overall power that typically result from GaAs amplifiers. This device can easily drive 10-bit to 16-bit HS converters.For many receiver applications, antialias filter (AAF) designs can be simplified or not required.The ADA4961 has an internal differential input impedance of 100 Ω and a differential dynamic output impedance of 50 Ω, eliminating the need for external termination resistors. The digital adjustability provides for 1 dB resolution, thus optimizing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for input levels spanning 21 dB.The ADA4961 is optimized for wideband, low distortion performance at frequencies up to 2 GHz. These attributes, together with wide gain adjustment and relatively low power, make the ADA4961 the amplifier of choice for many high speed applications, including IF, RF, and broadband applications where dynamic range at very high frequencies is critical.The ADA4961 is ideally suited for driving not only analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), but also mixers, pin diode attenuators, SAW filters, and multielement discrete devices. It is available in a 4 mm × 4 mm, 24-lead LFCSP and operates over a temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The ADL5246 is a high performance, low noise variable gain amplifier (VGA) optimized for multistandard base station receivers and point to point receive (Rx) and transmit (Tx) applications. The low noise figure and excellent linearity performance allow the device to be used in a variety of applications.The device consists of a low noise amplifier, a high linearity VGA, and a ½ W output driver stage. The variable attenuator networks are optimized to provide high linearity performance over the 45 dB gain control range. Gain is set using a unipolar control voltage from 0 V to 3.3 V. The output stage of the ADL5246 is an externally tuned ½ W driver amplifier, which allows the device to be optimized anywhere between the 0.6 GHzto 3 GHz range, with an average tuning bandwidth of 200 MHz wide. An external filter can be used between the VGA and the final driver amplifier. The ADL5246 can be biased between 3.3 V and 5 V to tradeoff between performance and power consumption.The ADL5246 is fabricated on an advanced GaAs process. The ADM7172 is a CMOS, low dropout linear regulator (LDO) that operates from 2.3 V to 6.5 V and provides up to 2 A of output current. This high output current LDO is ideal for regulation of high performance analog and mixed-signal circuits operating from 6 V down to 1.2 V rails. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, the device provides high power supply rejection and low noise, and achieves excellent line and load transient response with just a small 4.7 µF ceramic output capacitor. Load transient response is typically 1.5 μs for a 1 mA to 1.5 A load step.The ADM7172 is available in 17 fixed output voltage options. The following voltages are available from stock: 1.3 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.0 V, 3.3 V, 4.2 V, and 5.0 V. Additional voltages that are available by special order are: 1.5 V, 1.85 V, 2.0 V, 2.2 V, 2.7 V, 2.75 V, 2.8 V, 2.85 V, 3.8 V, and 4.6 V. An adjustable version is also available that allows output voltages that range from 1.2 V to VIN − VDO with an external feedback divider.Inrush current can be controlled by adjusting the start-up time via the soft start pin. The typical start-up time with a 1 nF soft start capacitor is 1.0 ms.The ADM7172 regulator output noise is 5 μV rms, independent of the output voltage. The ADN88341 is a monolithic TEC controller with an integrated TEC controller. It has a linear power stage, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) power stage, and two zero-drift, rail-to-rail operational amplifiers. The linear controller works with the PWM driver to control the internal power MOSFETs in an H-bridge configuration. By measuring the thermal sensor feedback voltage and using the integrated operational amplifiers as a proportional integral differential (PID) compensator to condition the signal, the ADN8834 drives current through a TEC to settle the temperature of a laser diode or a passive component attached to the TEC module to the programmed target temperature.The ADN8834 supports negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors as well as positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resistive temperature detectors (RTD). The target temperature is set as an analog voltage input either from a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) or from an external resistor divider.The temperature control loop of the ADN8834 is stabilized by PID compensation utilizing the built in, zero drift chopper amplifiers. The internal 2.50 V reference voltage provides a 1% accurate output that is used to bias a thermistor temperature sensing bridge as well as a voltage divider network to program the maximum TEC current and voltage limits for both the heating and cooling modes.
