MAX7501MUA+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX7500–MAX7504 temperature sensors accurately measure temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. These devices convert the temperature measurements to digital form using a high-resolution, sigma-delta, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Communication is through an I²C-compatible 2-wire serial interface. The MAX7500/MAX7501/MAX7502 integrate a timeout feature that offers protection against I²C bus lockups. The MAX7503/MAX7504 do not include the timeout feature. The 2-wire serial interface accepts standard write byte, read byte, send byte, and receive byte commands to read the temperature data and configure the behavior of the open-drain overtemperature shutdown output. The MAX7500 features three address select lines, while the MAX7501–MAX7504 feature two address select lines and an active-low RESET input. The MAX7500/MAX7501/MAX7502s' 3.0V to 5.5V supply voltage range, low250µA supply current, and a lockup-protected I²C-compatible interface make them ideal for a wide range of applications, including personal computers (PCs), electronic test equipment, and office electronics. The MAX7500–MAX7504 are available in 8-pin µMAX® and SO packages and operate over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range.ApplicationsElectronic Test EquipmentIndustrial Process ControlOffice ElectronicsPCsServers

MAX30207CCLB+T

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX30207 is a low-power, high-accuracy digital temperature sensor with ±0.1°C accuracy from +30°C to +50°C and ±0.3°C accuracy from 0°C to +70°C. It provides a 16-bit resolution (0.005°C).The 2mm x 2mm x 0.75mm package design has extremely low thermal mass and can be mounted on a flex PCB with only two conducting traces, allowing for minimal thermal conduction to the system PCB and accurate temperature measurements.Data is transferred serially through the 1-Wire® protocol, which requires only one data line and a ground reference for communication. Power to the device is also provided using the same data line used for communication using parasite power circuitry inside the device. Each MAX30207 has its own unique 64-bit registration number factory programmed into the chip. This unique 64-bit registration number acts as the node address in a multidrop 1-Wire® network. In multidrop networks, optional GPIO pins may be used as address bits to identify each device's physical location.ApplicationsInternet of Things (IoT) SensorsMedical ThermometersWearable Body Temperature Monitors

LM75BIMX-5+

Analog Devices Inc.
The LM75 temperature sensor includes a delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter, and a digital overtemperature detector. The host can query the LM75 through itsI²C interface to read temperature at any time. The open-drain overtemperature output (OS) sinks current when the programmable temperature limit is exceeded. The OS output operates in either of two modes, comparatoror interrupt. The host controls the temperature at which the alarm is asserted (TOS) and the hysteresis temperature below which the alarm condition is not valid (THYST). Also, the LM75's TOS and THYST registers can be read by the host. The address of the LM75 is set with three pins to allow multiple devices to work on the same bus. Power-up is in comparator mode, with defaults of TOS = +80°C and THYST = +75°C. The 3.0V to 5.5V supply voltage range, low supply current, and I²C interface make the LM75 ideal for many applications in thermal management and protection.ApplicationsComputers and Office ElectronicsTest EquipmentThermal ProtectionThermal System Management

MAX6581TG98+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX6581 precision multichannel temperature sensor monitors its own temperature and the temperatures of up to seven external diode-connected transistors. All temperature channels have programmable alert and overtemperature thresholds. When the measured temperature of a channel crosses the respective threshold, a status bit is set in one of the status registers. Two open-drain alarm outputs (active-low ALERT and active-low OVERT) assert corresponding to these bits in the status register(s). Resistance cancellation is available for all channels and compensates for high series resistance in circuit-board traces and thermal diodes. The 2-wire serial interface accepts SMBus protocols (write byte, read byte, send byte, and receive byte) for reading the temperature data and programming the alarm thresholds. The MAX6581 is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is available in a 24-pin, 4mm × 4mm thin QFN package with an exposed pad.ApplicationsData CommunicationsDesktop ComputersNotebook ComputersServersWorkstations

DS1631AU+

Analog Devices Inc.
The DS1631, DS1631A, and DS1731 digital thermometers provide 9, 10, 11, or 12-bit temperature readings over a -55°C to +125°C range. The DS1631 and DS1631A thermometer accuracy is ±0.5°C from 0°C to +70°C with 3.0V ≤ VDD ≤ 5.5V, and the DS1731 accuracy is ±1°C from -10°C to +85°C with 3.0V ≤ VDD ≤ 5.5V. The thermostat on all three devices provides custom hysteresis with user-defined trip points (TH and TL). The TH and TL registers and thermometer configuration settings are stored in NV EEPROM so they can be programmed prior to installation. In addition, the DS1631A automatically begins taking temperature measurements at power-up, which allows it to function as a stand-alone thermostat.ApplicationsMedicalNetworkingPersonal ComputingRouters/SwitchesTest Measurement SystemsWireless Base Stations

DS1775R2+T&R

Analog Devices Inc.
The DS1775 digital thermometer and thermostatprovides temperature readings that indicate the device’stemperature. Thermostat settings and temperaturereadings are all communicated to/from the DS1775 overa simple 2-wire serial interface. No additional componentsare required; the device is truly a “temperature-to-digital”converter.For applications that require greater temperature resolution, the user can adjust the readout resolution from 9 to 12bits. This is particularly useful in applications wherethermal runaway conditions must be detected quickly. The open-drain thermal alarm output, O.S., becomesactive when the temperature of the device exceeds auser-defined temperature TOS. The number of consecutivefaults required to set O.S. active is configurable by theuser. The device can also be configured in the interrupt orcomparator mode, to customize the method which clearsthe fault condition. As a digital thermometer, the DS1775 is software compatiblewith the DS75 2-wire thermal watchdog. The DS1775 isassembled in a compact 5-pin SOT23 package, allowingfor low-cost thermal monitoring/control in spaceconstrainedapplications. The low thermal mass allows fortime constants previously only possible with thermistors.ApplicationsAny Thermally-Sensitive SystemCell PhonesOffice EquipmentPersonal Computers/Servers/Workstations
