The MAX845 provides an isolated power supply small enough to fit in thin PCMCIA cards and space-sensitive applications. It drives a low-profile center-tapped transformer primary from a 5V or 3.3V DC power supply. The secondary can be wound to provide any isolated positive or negative voltage at powers up to 750mW.The MAX845 consists of an oscillator followed by a toggle flip-flop. The flip-flop generates two 50% duty-cycle square waves, which are complementary at half the oscillator frequency (450kHz, min). These two signals drive the ground-referenced N-channel power switches. Internal circuitry ensures break-before-make action between the two switches.A low-power shutdown disables both the switches and the oscillator, reducing power consumption. The MAX1471 low-power, CMOS, superheterodyne, RF dual-channel receiver is designed to receive both amplitude-shift-keyed (ASK) and frequency-shift-keyed (FSK) data without reconfiguring the device or introducing any time delay normally associated with changing modulation schemes. The MAX1471 requires few external components to realize a complete wireless RF digital data receiver for the 300MHz to 450MHz ISM bands.The MAX1471 includes all the active components required in a superheterodyne receiver including: a low-noise amplifier (LNA), an image-reject (IR) mixer, a fully integrated phase-locked loop (PLL), local oscillator (LO), 10.7MHz IF limiting amplifier with received-signal-strength indicator (RSSI), low-noise FM demodulator, and a 3V voltage regulator. Differential peak-detecting data demodulators are included for both the FSK and ASK analog baseband data recovery. The HMC264 chip is a sub-harmonically pumped (x2) MMIC mixer with an integrated LO amplifier which can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The chip utilizes a GaAs PHEMT technology that results in a small overall chip area of 1.28mm². The 2LO to RF isolation is excellent eliminating the need for additional filtering. The LO amplifier is a single bias (+3V to +4V) two stage design with only -4 dBm nominal drive requirement. The HMC311SC70(E) is a GaAs InGaP Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) Gain Block MMIC SMT DC to 8 GHz amplifier. Packaged in an industry standard SC70, the amplifier can be used as either a cascadable 50 Ohm gain stage or to drive the LO port of HMC mixers with up to +15 dBm output power. The HMC311SC70(E) offers 15 dB of gain and an output IP3 of +30 dBm while requiring only 54 mA from a +5V supply. The HMC342 chip is a GaAs MMIC Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) which covers the frequency range of 13 to 25 GHz. The chip can easily be integrated into Multi-Chip Modules (MCMs) due to its small (2.14 mm²) size. The chip utilizes a GaAs PHEMT process offering 20 dB gain from a single bias supply of +3V @ 41 mA with a noise figure of 3.5 dB.
