AD7810YRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7810 is a high speed, low power, 10-bit A/D converter that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The part contains a 2 µs successive approximation A/D converter, with inherent track/hold functionality, a pseudo differential input and a high speed serial interface that interfaces to most microcontrollers. The AD7810 is fully specified over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.By using a technique that samples the state of the CONVST (convert start) signal at the end of a conversion, the AD7810 may be used in an automatic power-down mode. When used in this mode, the AD7810 automatically powers down at the end of a conversion and 'wakes up' at the start of a new conversion. This feature significantly reduces the power consumption of the part at lower throughput rates. The AD7810 can also operate in a high speed mode where the part is not powered down between conversions. In this high speed mode of operation, the conversion time of the AD7810 is 2 µs. The maximum throughput rate is dependent on the speed of the serial interface of the microcontroller. The part is available in a small 8-pin, 0.3' wide, plastic dual-in-line package (mini-DIP); in an 8-lead, small outline IC (SOIC); and in an 8-lead microSOIC package.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Complete, 10-Bit ADC in 8-Lead Package The AD7810 is a 10-bit 2.3 µs ADC with inherent track/hold functionality and a high speed serial interface—all in an 8-lead microSOIC package. VREF may be connected to VDD to eliminate the need for an external reference. The result is a high speed, low power, space saving ADC solution. Low Power, Single Supply Operation The AD7810 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and typically consumes only 9 mW of power while converting. The power dissipation can be significantly reduced at lower throughput rates by using the automatic power-down mode, e.g., at a throughput rate of 10 kSPS the power consumption is only 270 µW. Automatic Power-Down The automatic power-down mode, whereby the AD7810 powers down at the end of a conversion and “wakes up” before the next conversion, means the AD7810 is ideal for battery powered applications. See Power vs. Throughput Rate section. Serial Interface An easy to use, fast serial interface allows connection to most popular microprocessors with no external circuitry.APPLICATIONS Low Power, Hand-Held Portable Applications that Require Analog-to-Digital Conversion with 10-Bit Accuracy; e.g., Battery Powered Test Equipment, Battery-Powered Communications Systems

AD7862ANZ-10
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7862 is a high speed, low power, dual 12-bit A/D converter that operates from a single +5 V supply. The part contains two 4 µs successive approximation ADCs, two track/ hold amplifiers, an internal +2.5 V reference and a high speed parallel interface. There are four analog inputs that are grouped into two channels (A & B) selected by the A0 input. Each channel has two inputs (VA1 & VA2 or VB1 & VB2) that can be sampled and converted simultaneously thus preserving the relative phase information of the signals on both analog inputs. The part accepts an analog input range of ±10 V (AD7862-10), ±2.5 V (AD7862-3) and 02.5 V (AD7862-2). Overvoltage protection on the analog inputs for the part allows the input voltage to go to ±17 V, ±7 V or +7 V, respectively, without causing damage.A single conversion start signal (CONVST) places both track/ holds into hold simultaneously and initiates conversion on both inputs. The BUSY signal indicates the end of conversion, and at this time the conversion results for both channels are available to be read. The first read after a conversion accesses the result from VA1 or VB1, while the second read accesses the result from VA2 or VB2, depending on whether the multiplexer select A0 is low or high, respectively. Data is read from the part via a 12-bit parallel data bus with standard CS and RD signals. In addition to the traditional dc accuracy specifications such as linearity, full-scale and offset errors, the part is also specified for dynamic performance parameters including harmonic distortion and signal-to-noise ratio. The AD7862 is fabricated in Analog Devices' Linear Compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) process, a mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low power CMOS logic. It is available in 28-lead SSOP, SOIC and DIP.APPLICATIONS AC Motor Control Uninterrupted Power Supplies Data Acquisition Systems CommunicationsPRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD7862 features two complete ADC functions allowing simultaneous sampling and conversion of two channels. Each ADC has a 2-channel input mux. The conversion result for both channels is available 3.6 µs after initiating conversion. The AD7862 operates from a single +5 V supply and consumes 60 mW typ. The automatic power-down mode, where the part goes into power down once conversion is complete and “wakes up” before the next conversion cycle, makes the AD7862 ideal for battery-powered or portable applications. The part offers a high speed parallel interface for easy connection to microprocessors, microcontrollers and digital signal processors. The part is offered in three versions with different analog input ranges. The AD7862-10 offers the standard industrial input range of ±10 V; the AD7862-3 offers the common signal processing input range of ±2.5 V; while the AD7862-2 can be used in unipolar 0 V – +2.5 V applications. The part features very tight aperture delay matching between the two input sample-and-hold amplifiers.

EVAL-ADF7020DBZ3
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADF7020 is a low power, low-IF transceiver designed for operation in the license-free ISM bands at 433MHz, 868MHz and 915MHz. It is suitable for circuit applications that meet either the European ETSI EN-300-220 or the North American FCC, Part 15.247 and 15.249 regulatory standards. It operates from a 2.3 V to 3.6V power supply with programmable output power from -16 to +13dBm in 0.3dBm steps. Its receiver sensitivity is -117.5dBm at 1kbits/s in FSK mode or -110.5dBm at 9.6kbits/s. Power consumption is 20mA in receive mode and 30mA in transmit mode (+10dBm output).Other features include on-chip VCO (voltage controlled oscillator), Fractional-N PLL, on-chip 7-bit ADC (analog-to-digital converter), digital received signal strength indication (RSSI), temperature sensor and a patent pending fully automatic AFC loop. This allows the ADF7020 to be used with lower tolerance crystals. Its leakage current is < 1uA in power down mode. This device is suitable for circuit applications that meet the European ETSI-300-220, the North American FCC (Part 15), or the Chinese Short Range Device regulatory standards. A complete transceiver can be built using a small number of external discrete components, making the ADF7020 very suitable for price-sensitive and area-sensitive applications. The transmitter block on the ADF7020 contains a VCO and low noise fractional-N PLL with an output resolution of <1 ppm. This frequency agile PLL allows the ADF7020 to be used in frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) systems. The VCO operates at twice the fundamental frequency to reduce spurious emissions and frequency-pulling problems. The transmitter output power is programmable in 0.3 dB steps from −16 dBm to +13 dBm. The transceiver RF frequency and modulation are programmable using a simple 3-wire interface. The device operates with a power supply range of 2.3 V to 3.6 V and can be powered down when not in use.A low IF architecture is used in the receiver (200 kHz), minimizing power consumption and the external component count and avoiding interference problems at low frequencies. The ADF7020 supports a wide variety of programmable features, including Rx linearity, sensitivity, and IF bandwidth, allowing the user to trade off receiver sensitivity and selectivity against current consumption, depending on the application. The receiver also features a patent-pending automatic frequency control (AFC) loop, allowing the PLL to track out the frequency error in the incoming signal. An on-chip ADC provides readback of an integrated temperature sensor, an external analog input, the battery voltage, or the RSSI signal, which provides savings on an ADC in some applications. The temperature sensor is accurate to ±10°C over the full operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. This accuracy can be improved by doing a 1-point calibration at room temperature and storing the result in memory.APPLICATIONS Low cost wireless data transfer Remote control/security systems Wireless metering Keyless entry Home automation Process and building control Wireless voice
