Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7142 and AD7142-1 are integrated capacitance-to-digital converters (CDCs) with on-chip environmental calibration for use in systems requiring a novel user input method. The AD7142 and AD7142-1 can interface to external capacitance sensors implementing functions such as capacitive buttons, scroll bars, or wheels. The CDC has 14 inputs channeled through a switch matrix to a 16-bit, 250 kHz sigma-delta (∑-Δ) capacitance-to-digital converter. The CDC is capable of sensing changes in the capacitance of the external sensors and uses this information to register a sensor activation. The external sensors can be arranged as a series of buttons, as a scroll bar or wheel, or as a combination of sensor types. By programming the registers, the user has full control over the CDC setup. High resolution sensors require minor software to run on the host processor. The AD7142 and AD7142-1 have on-chip calibration logic to account for changes in the ambient environment. The calibration sequence is performed automatically and at continuous intervals, when the sensors are not touched. This ensures that there are no false or nonregistering touches on the external sensors due to a changing environment. The AD7142 has an SPI-compatible serial interface, and the AD7142-1 has an I2C-compatible serial interface. Both parts have an interrupt output, as well as a general-purpose input/ output (GPIO). The AD7142 and AD7142-1 are available in a 32-lead, 5 mm × 5 mm LFCSP_VQ and operate from a 2.6 V to 3.6 V supply. The operating current consumption is less than 1 mA, falling to 50 μA in low power mode (conversion interval of 400 ms).ApplicationsPersonal music and multimedia playersCell phonesDigital still camerasSmart hand-held devicesTelevision, A/V, and remote controlsGaming consoles

AD7357BRUZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7357 is a dual, 14-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation ADC that operates from a single 2.5 V power supply and features throughput rates of up to 4.2 MSPS. The part contains two ADCs, each preceded by a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold circuit that can handle input frequencies in excess of 110 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs allowing for easy interfacing to microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS; conversion is also initiated at this point. The conversion time is determined by the SCLK frequency. The AD7357 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates. With a 2.5 V supply and a 4.2 MSPS throughput rate, the device consumes 14 mA typically. The part also offers flexible power/throughput rate management when operating in normal mode as the quiescent current consumption is so low.The analog input range for the device is the differential common mode ±VREF/2. The AD7357 has an on-chip 2.048 V reference that can be overdriven when an external reference is preferred. The AD7357 is available in a 16-lead thin shrink small outline package (TSSOP) and an 18-lead lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP).PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Two Complete ADC Functions. These functions allow simultaneous sampling and conversion of two channels. The conversion result of both channels is simultaneously available on separate data lines or in succession on one data line if only one serial port is available. High Throughput with Low Power Consumption. The AD7357 offers a 4.2 MSPS throughput rate with 36 mW power consumption. Simultaneous Sampling. The part features two standard successive approximation ADCs with accurate control of the sampling instant via a CS input and once off conversion control.APPLICATIONS Automotive radar Data acquisition systems Motion control I and Q demodulation RFID readers

ADF4154BRUZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADF4154 is a fractional-N frequency synthesizer that implements local oscillators in the up conversion and down conversion sections of wireless receivers and transmitters. It consists of a low noise digital phase frequency detector (PFD), a precision charge pump, and a programmable reference divider. There is a Σ-Δ based fractional interpolator to allow programmable fractional-N division. The INT, FRAC, and MOD registersdefine an overall N divider (N = (INT + (FRAC/MOD))). In addition, the 4-bit reference counter (R counter) allows selectable REFIN frequencies at the PFD input. A complete phase-locked loop (PLL) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO).A key feature of the ADF4154 is the fast-lock mode with a builtintimer. The user can program a predetermined count-down time value so that the PLL will remain in wide bandwidth mode, instead of having to control this time externally.Control of all on-chip registers is via a simple 3-wire interface. The device operates with a power supply ranging from 2.7 V to 3.3 V, and can be powered down when not in use.

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADG1411/ADG1412/ADG1413 are monolithic complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) devices containingfour independently selectable switches designed on an iCMOS® process. iCMOS (industrial CMOS) is a modular manufacturingprocess combining high voltage CMOS and bipolar technologies. It enables the development of a wide range of high performanceanalog ICs capable of 33 V operation in a footprint that no previous generation of high voltage devices has been able to achieve.Unlike analog ICs using conventional CMOS processes, iCMOS components can tolerate high supply voltages while providingincreased performance, dramatically lower power consumption, and reduced package size. The on-resistance profile is very flat over the full analog input range, ensuring excellent linearity and low distortion whenswitching signals.iCMOS construction ensures ultralow power dissipation, making the devices ideally suited for portable and battery-poweredinstruments.The ADG1411/ADG1412/ADG1413 contain four independent single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. The ADG1411 and ADG1412 differ only in that the digital control logic is inverted. The ADG1411 switches are turned on with Logic 0 on theappropriate control input, whereas the ADG1412 switches are turned on with Logic 1. The ADG1413 has two switches withdigital control logic similar to that of the ADG1411; the logic is inverted on the other two switches. Each switch conducts equallywell in both directions when on and has an input signal range that extends to the supplies. In the off condition, signal levels upto the supplies are blocked. The ADG1413 exhibits break-before-make switching action for use in multiplexer applications. Inherent in the design is lowcharge injection, which results in minimum transients when the digital inputs are switchedProduct Highlights 2.6 Ω maximum on resistance over temperature Minimum distortion Ultralow power dissipation: <0.03 μW 16-lead TSSOP and 16-lead, 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSPApplications Automated test equipment Data acquisition systems Battery-powered systems Sample-and-hold systems Audio signal routing Video signal routing Communications systems Relay replacement
