LT3080EDD Demo Board | Single Resistor Prog Linear Regulator, 2.3V ≤ VIN ≤ 25V, VOUT = 0.6V/1.0V/1.2V/1.5V/1.8V/2.5V/3.3V/5V @ 1.1A

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 995A is an adjustable 1.1A linear regulator featuring the LT3080. Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, it allows this new regulator to be used in many applications requiring high current, adjustability to zero output, and no heat sink. The device brings out the collector of the pass transistor to allow low dropout operation when used with multiple supplies. The demo board's input supply voltage range is 2.3V to 25V. For proper regulation, the LT3080 has a control pin; the voltage on this pin must be 1.2V to 1.35V higher than the output voltage. The output voltage is jumper selectable and can be set to 1.8V, a value between 0V and 5V (using trimpot R2) or a user-defined value. A key feature of the LT3080 is its wide output voltage range. By using a reference current through a single resistor, the output voltage can be programmed to any level between zero and 36V. The DC995A has a reduced input voltage 25V due to input capacitor voltage rating. The DC995A can be used as a high current linear regulator, a post regulator for switching supply,a  variable voltage supply or a low output voltage power supply.

Analog Devices Inc.
The HMC1120 is an RMS power detector with an integrated high bandwidth envelope detector. The RMS output is a temperature compensated, monotonic, linear-in-dB representation of real RF signal power, measured over an input sensing range of 70 dB. The envelope detector provides an accurate voltage output which is linearly proportional to the amplitude envelope of the RF input signal for modulation bandwidths up to 150 MHz. The high bandwidth envelope detection of the HMC1120 makes it ideal for detecting broadband and high crest factor RF signals commonly used in GSM, WCDMA, and LTE systems. Additionally, the instantaneous envelope output can be used to create fast, excessive RF power protection, PA linearization, and efficiency enhancing envelope-tracking PA implementations. The HMC1120?s RMS detector integration bandwidth is digitally programmable via input pins SCI1-4 over a range of more than 4 decades. This allows the user to dynamically set the operation bandwidth and also permits the detection of different types of modulations on the same platform. The HMC1120 features an internal op-amp at the RMS output stage, which accommodates slope and intercept adjustments and supports a wide range of applications.Applications Log ?> Root-Mean-Square (RMS) Conversion Tx/Rx Signal Strength Indication (TSSI / RSSI) RF Power Amplifier Efficiency Control Receiver Automatic Gain Control Transmitter Power Control Envelope Tracking PA Linearization

Analog Devices Inc.
The HMC6787ALC5A is a compact GaAs MMIC I/Q variable gain upconverter in a leadless RoHS compliant SMT package. This device provides a small signal conversion gain of 11 dB with 17 dBc of sideband rejection, and 13 dB of gain control. The HMC6787ALC5A utilizes a RF variable gain amplifier preceded by an I/Q mixer where the LO is driven by a X2 multiplier. IF1 and IF2 mixer inputs are provided and an external 90? hybrid is needed to select the required sideband. The I/Q mixer topology reduces the need for filtering of the unwanted sideband. The HMC6787ALC5A is a much smaller alternative to hybrid style single sideband upconverter assemblies and it eliminates the need for wire bonding by allowing the use of surface mount manufacturing techniques.APPLICATIONS Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multi-Point Radio Military Radar, EW & ELINT Satellite Communications Sensors
