Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 contain six 16-/14-/12-bit, fast, low power, successive approximation ADCs all in the one package that is designed on the iCMOS™ process (industrial CMOS). iCMOS is a process combining high voltage silicon with submicron CMOS and complementary bipolar technologies. It enables the development of a wide range of high performance analog ICs, capable of 33 V operation in a footprint that no previous generation of high voltage parts could achieve. Unlike analog ICs using conventional CMOS processes, iCMOS components can accept bipolar input signals while providing increased performance, which dramatically reduces power consumption and package size. The AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 feature throughput rates up to 250 kSPS. The parts contain low noise, wide bandwidth, track-and-hold amplifiers that can handle input frequencies up to 12 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CONVST signals and an internal oscillator. Three CONVST pins allow independent, simultaneous sampling of the three ADC pairs. The AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 all have a high speed parallel and serial interface, allowing the devices to interface with microprocessors or DSPs. In serial interface mode, the parts have a daisy-chain feature that allows multiple ADCs to connect to a single serial interface. The AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 can accommodate true bipolar input signals in the ±4 × VREF range and ±2 × VREF range. The AD7656 / AD7657 / AD7658 also contain an on-chip 2.5 V reference. For reduced decoupling requirements visit the AD7657-1 product pagePRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Six 16-/14-/12-bit, 250 kSPS ADCs on board. AD7705BNZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7705 / AD7706 are complete analog front ends for low frequency measurement applications. These 2-/3-channel devices can accept low level input signals directly from a transducer and produce serial digital output. The devices employ a Σ-Δ conversion technique to realize up to 16 bits of no missing codes performance. The selected input signal is applied to a proprietary, programmable-gain front end based around an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by an on-chip digital filter. The first notch of this digital filter can be programmed via an on-chip control register, allowing adjustment of the filter cutoff and output update rate. The AD7705 / AD7706 devices operate from a single 2.7 V to 3.3 V or 4.75 V to 5.25 V supply. The AD7705 features two fully differential analog input channels; the AD7706 features three pseudo differential input channels. Both devices feature a differential reference input. Input signal ranges of 0 mV to 20 mV through 0 V to 2.5 V can be incorporated on both devices when operating with a VDD of 5 V and a reference of 2.5 V. They can also handle bipolar input signal ranges of ±20 mV through ±2.5 V, which are referenced to the AIN(−) inputs on the AD7705 and to the COMMON input on the AD7706.The AD7705 / AD7706 devices, with a 3 V supply and a 1.225 V reference, can handle unipolar input signal ranges of 0 mV to 10 mV through 0 V to 1.225 V. The devices can accept bipolar input ranges of ±10 mV through ±1.225 V. Therefore, the AD7705 / AD7706 devices perform all signal conditioning and conversion for a 2-channel or 3-channel system. The AD7705 / AD7706 are ideal for use in smart, microcontroller, or DSP-based systems. The devices feature a serial interface that can be configured for 3-wire operation. Gain settings, signal polarity, and update rate selection can be configured in software using the input serial port. The parts contains self-calibration and system calibration options to eliminate gain and offset errors on the part itself or in the system. CMOS construction ensures very low power dissipation, and the power-down mode reduces the standby power consumption to 20 μW typ. These parts are available in a 16-lead, wide body (0.3 inch), plastic dual in-line package (DIP); a 16-lead, wide body (0.3 inch), standard small outline (SOIC) package; and a low profile, 16-lead, thin shrink small outline package (TSSOP).

AD780BNZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD780 is an ultrahigh precision band gap reference voltage that provides a 2.5 V or 3.0 V output from inputs between 4.0 V and 36 V. Low initial error and temperature drift combined with low output noise and the ability to drive any value of capacitance make the AD780 the ideal choice for enhancing the performance of high resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs) and for any general purpose precision reference application. A unique low headroom design facilitates a 3.0 V output from a 5.0 V ± 10% input, providing a 20% boost to the dynamic range of an ADC over performance with existing 2.5 V references. The AD780 can be used to source or sink up to 10 mA and can be used in series or shunt mode, thus allowing positive or negative output voltages without external components. This makes it suitable for virtually any high performance reference application. Unlike some competing references, the AD780 has no region of possible instability. The part is stable under all load conditions when a 1 µF bypass capacitor is used on the supply.A temperature output pin on the AD780 provides an output voltage that varies linearly with temperature, allowing the part to be configured as a temperature transducer while providing a stable 2.5 V or 3.0 V output. The AD780 is a pin-compatible performance upgrade for the LT1019(A)-2.5 and the AD680. The latter is targeted toward low power applications. The AD780 is available in three grades in PDIP and SOIC packages. The AD780AN, AD780AR, AD780BN, AD780BR, and AD780CR are specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD780 provides a pin programmable 2.5 V or 3.0 V output from a 4 V to 36 V input. Laser trimming of both initial accuracy and temperature coefficients results in low errors over temperature without the use of external components. The AD780BN has a maximum variation of 0.9 mV from −40°C to +85°C. For applications that require even higher accuracy, an optional fine-trim connection is provided. The AD780 noise is extremely low, typically 4 mV p-p from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz and a wideband spectral noise density of typically 100 nV/√Hz. This can be further reduced, if desired, by using two external capacitors. The temperature output pin enables the AD780 to be configured as a temperature transducer while providing a stable output reference.

ADG508FBRWZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADG508F and ADG509F are CMOS analog multiplexers, with the ADG508F comprising eight single channels and the ADG509F comprising four differential channels. These multiplexer provides fault protection. Using a series n-channel, p-channel, n-channel MOSFET structure, both device and signal source protection is provided in the event of an overvoltage or power loss. The multiplexer can withstand continuous overvoltage inputs from -40 V to +55 V. During fault conditions with power supplies off, the multiplexer input (or output) appears as an open circuit and only a few nanoamperes of leakage current will flow. This protects not only the multiplexer and the circuitry driven by the multiplexer, but also protects the sensors or signal sources that drive the multiplexer. The ADG508F switches one of eight inputs to a common output as determined by the 3-bit binary address lines A0, A1 and A2. The ADG509F switches one of four differential inputs to a common differential output as determined by the 2-bit binary address lines A0 and A1. An EN input on each device is used to enable or disable the device. When disabled, all channels are switched OFF.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Fault protection. The ADG508F/ADG509F can withstand continuous voltage inputs from −40 V to +55 V. When a fault occurs due to the power supplies being turned off, all the channels are turned off and only a leakage current of a few nanoamperes flows. On channel saturates while fault exists. Low RON. Fast switching times. Break-before-make switching. Switches are guaranteed break-before-make so that input signals are protected against momentary shorting. Trench isolation eliminates latch-up. A dielectric trench separates the p and n-channel MOSFETs thereby preventing latch-up.APPLICATIONS Existing multiplexer applications (both fault-protected and nonfault-protected) New designs requiring multiplexer functions

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADG604 is a CMOS analog multiplexer, comprising foursingle channels. It operates from a dual supply of ± 2.7 V to±5.5 V, or from a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V.The ADG604 switches one of four inputs to a common output,D, as determined by the 3-bit binary address lines, A0, A1, andEN. A Logic “0” on the EN pin disables the device. The ADG604 offers ultralow charge injection of ±1.5 pC over theentire signal range and leakage currents of 10 pA typical at 25°C.It offers on resistance of 85 Ω typ, which is matched to within 2 Ωbetween channels. The ADG604 also has low power dissipation yetgives high switching speeds. The ADG604 is available in a 14-leadTSSOP package.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Ultralow Charge Injection (QINJ: ±1.5 pC Typ over the Full Signal Range) Leakage Current <0.5 nA max @ 85°C Dual ±2.7 V to ±5.5 V or Single 2.7 V to 5.5 V Supply Fully Specified to 125°C Small 14-Lead TSSOP PackageAPPLICATIONS Automatic Test Equipment Data Acquisition Systems Battery-Powered Instruments Communication Systems Sample and Hold Systems Remote-Powered Equipment Audio and Video Signal Routing Relay Replacement Avionics
