AD5252BRUZ50
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD52521 is a dual-channel, I2C, nonvolatile memory, digitally controlled potentiometer with 256 positions. These devices perform the same electronic adjustmentfunctions as mechanical potentiometers, trimmers, andvariable resistors. The parts’ versatile programmability allowsmultiple modes of operation, including read/write access in theRDAC and EEMEM registers, increment/decrement of resistance, resistance changes in ±6 dB scales, wiper setting readback, and extra EEMEM for storing user-defined information, such asmemory data for other components, look-up table, or systemidentification information. The AD5251/AD5252 allow the host I2C controllers to writeany of the 64-/256-step wiper settings in the RDAC registersand store them in the EEMEM. Once the settings are stored, they are restored automatically to the RDAC registers at systempower-on; the settings can also be restored dynamically. The AD5251/AD5252 provide additional increment, decrement, +6 dB step change, and –6 dB step change insynchronous or asynchronous channel update mode. Theincrement and decrement functions allow stepwise linearadjustments, with a ± 6 dB step change equivalent to doublingor halving the RDAC wiper setting. These functions are usefulfor steep-slope, nonlinear adjustments, such as white LEDbrightness and audio volume control. The AD5251/AD5252 have a patented resistance-tolerancestoring function that allows the user to access the EEMEM andobtain the absolute end-to-end resistance values of the RDACsfor precision applications. The AD5251/AD5252 are available in TSSOP-14 packages.AD5251 has only 50 kΩ resistance options and AD5252 isavailable in 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, and 100 kΩ options. All partsare guaranteed to operate over the –40°C to +105°C extendedindustrial temperature range.APPLICATIONS Mechanical potentiometer replacement General-purpose DAC replacement LCD panel VCOM adjustment White LED brightness adjustment RF base station power amp bias control Programmable gain and offset control Programmable voltage-to-current conversion Programmable power supply Sensor calibrations1 Protected by U.S. Patent 7,688,240.

AD5664ARMZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5624 / AD5664, members of the nanoDAC® family, are low power, quad, 12-, 16-bit buffered voltage-out DACs that operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and are guaranteed monotonic by design. The AD5624 / AD5664 require an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC. The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up to 0 V and remains there until a valid write takes place. The parts contain a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 480 nA at 5 V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The low power consumption of these parts in normal operation makes them ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is 2.25 mW at 5 V, going down to 2.4 μW in power-down mode. The AD5624 / AD5664 on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing to be achieved. The AD5624/AD5664 use a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 50 MHz, and are compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Relative accuracy: ±12 LSBs maximum. Available in 10-lead MSOP and 10-lead, 3 mm × 3 mm, LFCSP_WD. Low power, typically consumes 1.32 mW at 3 V and 2.25 mW at 5 V. Maximum settling time of 4.5 μs (AD5624) and 7 μs (AD5664).APPLICATIONS Process control Data acquisition systems Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators

AD5666BRUZ-1
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5666 is a low power, quad, 16-bit, buffered voltage-output DAC. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and is guaranteed monotonic by design. The AD5666 has an on-chip reference with an internal gain of 2. The AD5666-1 has a 1.25 V 5 ppm/°C reference, giving a full-scale output of 2.5 V; the AD5666-2 has a 2.5 V 5 ppm/°C reference, giving a full-scale output of 5 V. The on-board reference is off at power-up, allowing the use of an external reference. The internal reference is turned on by writing to the DAC.The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers up to 0 V (POR pin low) or to midscale (POR pin high) and remains powered up at this level until a valid write takes place. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 400 nA at 5 V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode for any or all DAC channels. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the LDAC function, with the added functionality of user-select-able DAC channels to simultaneously update. There is also an asynchronous CLR that clears all DACs to a software-selectable code—0 V, midscale, or full scale. The AD5666 utilizes a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates of up to 50 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. The on-chip precision output amplifier enables rail-to-rail output swing.Product Highlights Quad, 16-bit DAC. On-chip 1.25 V/2.5 V, 5 ppm/°C reference. Available in 14-lead TSSOP. Selectable power-on reset to 0 V or midscale. Power-down capability. When powered down, the DAC typically consumes 200 nA at 3 V and 400 nA at 5 V.Applications Process control Data acquisition systems Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators
