The ADF7030-1 is ideally suited for applications that require long range, network robustness, and long battery life. It is suitable for applications that operate in the ISM, SRD, and licensed frequency bands at 169.4 MHz to 169.6 MHz, 426 MHz to 470 MHz, and 863 MHz to 960 MHz. It provides extensive support for standards-based protocols like IEEE802.15.4g while also providing flexibility to support a wide range of proprietary protocols.The highly configurable low intermediate frequency (IF) receiver supports a large range of receiver channel bandwidths from 2.6 kHz to 406 kHz. This range of receiver channel bandwidths allows the ADF7030-1 to support ultranarrow-band, narrow-band, and wideband channel spacing.The ADF7030-1 features two independent PAs supporting output power ranges of ?20 dBm to +13 dBm and ?20 dBm to +17 dBm. The PAs support ultrafine adjustment of the power with a step resolution of 0.1 dB. The PA output power is exceptionally robust over temperature and voltage. The PAs have an automatic power ramp control to limit spectral splatter to meet regulatory standards.The ADF7030-1 features an on-chip ARM??Cortex?-M0 processor that performs radio control, radio calibration, and packet management. Cortex-M0 eases the processing burden of the host processor because the ADF7030-1 integrates the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. This internal processor also permits the download and execution of Analog Devices, Inc., provided firmware modules that can extend the functionality of the ADF7030-1.The ADF7030-1 has two packet modes: generic packet mode and IEEE802.15.4g mode. In generic packet mode, the packet format is highly flexible and fully programmable, thereby ensuring its compatibility with proprietary packet formats. In IEEE802.15.4g packet mode, the packet format conforms to the?IEEE802.15.4g standard. FEC, as per the IEEE802.15.4g standard, is also supported.The ADF7030-1 operates with a power supply range of 2.2 V to 3.6 V and has very low power consumption in both Tx and Rx modes, enabling long lifetimes in battery-operated systems. An ultralow power deep sleep mode achieves a typical current of 10 nA with the configuration memory retained.A complete wireless solution can be built using a small number of external discrete components and a host processor (typically a microcontroller). The host processor can configure the ADF7030-1 using a simple command-based protocol over a standard 4-wire SPI interface. The ADL6010 is a versatile, broadband envelope detector covering the microwave spectrum. It provides state-of-the-art accuracy with very low power consumption (8 mW) in a simple, easy to use 6-lead format. The output is a baseband voltage proportional to the instantaneous amplitude of the radio frequency (RF) input signal. It exhibits minimal slope variation of the RF input to envelope output transfer function from 0.5 GHz to 43.5 GHz.The detector cell uses a proprietary eight Schottky diode array followed by a novel linearizer circuit that creates a linear voltmeter with an overall scaling factor (or transfer gain) of nominally ?2.2 relative to the voltage amplitude of the input.Although the ADL6010 is not inherently a power responding device, it remains convenient to specify the input in this way. Thus, the permissible input power, relative to a 50 ? source input impedance, ranges from ?30 dBm to +15 dBm. The corresponding input voltage amplitudes of 11.2 mV to 1.8 V generate quasi-dc outputs from about 25 mV to 4 V above common (COMM).A subtle aspect of the balanced detector topology is that no even-order distortion, caused by nonlinear source loading, occurs at the input. This is an important benefit in applications where a low ratio coupler is used to extract a signal sample and is a significant improvement over traditional diode detectors.The power equivalent of a fluctuating RF input amplitude can be extracted by the addition of an rms-to-dc converter IC. Alternatively, the baseband output can be applied to a suitably fast analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and the rms value (and other signal metrics, such as peak to average ratio) calculated in the digital domain.The output response accuracy is insensitive to variation in the supply voltage, which can range from 4.75 V to 5.25 V. The ultralow power dissipation contributes to its long-term stability.The ADL6010ACPZN is specified for operation from ?40?C to +85?C, and the ADL6010SCPZN is specified for operation from ?55?C to +125?C. The ADMV4530 is a highly integrated upconverter with an in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) mixer that is ideally suited for next generation Ka band satellite communications.An integrated low phase noise, fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL) with a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and internal 2? multiplier generate the necessary on-chip local oscillator (LO) signal for the I/Q mixer, eliminating the need for external frequency synthesis. The VCO uses an internal autocalibration routine that allows the PLL to select the necessary settings and locks in approximately 100 ?s.The single-ended reference input to the PLL operates up to 500 MHz and features internal reference dividers and a multiplier for added flexibility. Additionally, the phase frequency detector (PFD) comparison frequency can be up to 250 MHz for integer mode and 160 MHz for fraction-N mode.The upconverter consists of an I/Q mixer that can operate in either I/Q mode with 500 MHz of bandwidth or in IF mode up to 3 GHz of bandwidth, which allows various radio architectures and backward compatibility with legacy systems.Immediately following the I/Q mixer are stages of gain and variable attenuation. The configuration can achieve a minimum 1 dB compression point (P1dB) compression point of 19 dBm, eliminating the need for external stages of gain.A programmable 4-wire serial port interface (SPI) allows adjustment of the quadrature phase for optimum sideband suppression. In addition, the SPI allows nulling of LO feedthrough in IF mode. In I/Q mode, the LO feedthrough can be nulled by applying external dc offset to the differential baseband I/Q inputs.An IF automatic gain control (AGC) adjusts the IF variable gain amplifier (VGA) to compensate for input power variations. During normal operation, this AGC feature can be enabled or disabled via the SPI. When disabled during normal operation, the AGC feature only works on a test tone during power-down mode to track temperature variations.The ADMV4530 upconverter comes in a RoHs compliant, 6 mm ? 6 mm, 40-terminal land grid array (LGA) package. The ADP170 /?ADP171?/?ADP172 are low voltage input, low quiescentcurrent, low-dropout (LDO) linear regulators that operate from1.6 V to 3.6 V and provide up to 300 mA of output current. Thelow 55 mV dropout voltage at 300 mA load improves efficiencyand allows operation over a wide input voltage range. The low23 ?A of quiescent current at no load makes theADP170 / ADP171 / ADP172 ideal for battery-operated portableequipment.The ADP170 is capable of 31 fixed-output voltage options, ranging from 0.8 V to 3.0 V. ADP171 is an adjustableversion, which allows output voltages that range from 0.8 V to3.0 V via an external divider. The ADP170 / ADP171 areoptimized for stable operation with small 1 ?F ceramic outputcapacitors. Ideal for powering digital processors, the ADP170 / ADP171 exhibit good transient performance andoccupy minimal board space. Compared with commodity typesof LDOs, the ADP170 / ADP171 provide 20 dB to 40 dB betterpower supply rejection ratio (PSRR) at 100 kHz, making theADP170 / ADP171 an ideal power source for analog-to-digitalconverter (ADC) mixed-signal processor systems and allowinguse of smaller size bypass capacitors. In addition, low outputnoise performance without the need for an additional bypasscapacitor further reduces printed circuit board (PCB)component count.Short-circuit protection and thermal overload protectioncircuits prevent damage in adverse conditions.
