The AD9249 is a 16-channel, 14-bit, 65 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit that is designed for low cost, low power, small size, and ease of use. The device operates at a conversion rate of up to 65 MSPS and is optimized for outstanding dynamic performance and low power in applications where a small package size is critical.The ADC requires a single 1.8 V power supply and an LVPECL-/ CMOS-/LVDS-compatible sample rate clock for full performance operation. No external reference or driver components are required for many applications.The AD9249 automatically multiplies the sample rate clock for the appropriate LVDS serial data rate. Data clock outputs (DCO?1, DCO?2) for capturing data on the output and frame clock outputs (FCO?1, FCO?2) for signaling a new output byte are provided. Individual channel power-down is supported, and the device typically consumes less than 2 mW when all channels are disabled. The ADC contains several features designed to maximize flexibility and minimize system cost, such as programmable clock and data alignment and programmable digital test pattern generation.The available digital test patterns include built-in deterministic and pseudorandom patterns, along with custom user-defined test patterns entered via the serial port interface (SPI).The AD9249 is available in an RoHS-compliant, 144-ball CSP-BGA. Demonstration circuit 2290A features the LTC2387 family. With up to 15Msps, these differential input, single channel, 18-/16-Bit, serial, high speed successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs are available in a 32-Pin QFN package. The LTC2387 family has an internal 20ppm/°C reference and a serial LVDS interface. The demo manual refers to the LTC2387 but applies to all members of the family, the only difference being the sample rate and the number of bits. The DC2290A demonstrates the AC performance of the LTC2387 in conjunction with the DC718 data collection board. Differential amplifier demo boards are available separately that provide amplification of low level differential signals if required. Alternatively, by connecting the DC2290A into a customer application the performance of the LTC2387 can be evaluated directly in that circuit.

The LTC2983 measures a wide variety of temperature sensors and digitally outputs the result, in ?C or ?F, with 0.1?C accuracy and 0.001?C resolution. The LTC2983 can measure the temperature of virtually all standard (type B, E, J, K, N, S, R, T) or custom thermocouples, automatically compensate for cold junction temperatures and linearize the results. The device can also measure temperature with standard 2-, 3- or 4-wire RTDs, thermistors and diodes. It has 20 reconfigurable analog inputs enabling many sensor connections and configuration options. The LTC2983 includes excitation current sources and fault detection circuitry appropriate for each type of temperature sensor.The LTC2983 allows direct interfacing to ground referenced sensors without the need for level shifters, negative supply voltages, or external amplifiers. All signals are buffered and simultaneously digitized with three high accuracy, 24-bit ?? Demonstration circuit 2307A is a high input voltage protected high side MOSFET driver featuring the LT1910ES8. This demo board has a wide input voltage range from 8V to 48V and is capable of protecting a voltage source against a short circuit. The LT1910 has a 50mV trip point for the selection of the current sense resistor RS1. The value of RS1 is 0.01Ω in this demo board which allows the output to deliver up to 5A. However, the RS1 footprint supports multiple sizes and can be replaced with up to a 2W device.

Demonstration circuit 2322A is designed for evaluation of the LTC5576 active upconverting mixer with very wide input bandwidth and low distortion. Its OUT port is optimized for 4GHz to 6GHz applications, but is easily retuned for output frequencies as low as 3GHz, or as high as 8GHz with minor performance degradation. The IN port is optimized for 30MHz to 6GHz operation while the LO port is always 50Ω matched from 1GHz to 8GHz.

Demonstration circuit 2350B features the LTC6813-1, 18-channel battery-stack monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2350B demo board also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components, and DuraClik connectors are optimized for low EMI susceptibility and emissions. The DC2350B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026C Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery-stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026 provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2350B isoSPI port (J4 or J5 connector). The DC2792B companion board provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.

Demonstration circuit 2365A highlights the LTC2358 family of buffered input ADCs. The LTC2358/LTC2357/LTC2353/LTC2333 are low noise, high speed, 16-/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs with integrated front end buffers. These ADCs accept a wide common mode range. Pico-amp inputs and high CMRR enable these ADCs to connect directly to a wide range of sensors without compromising measurement accuracy. The demo manual refers to the LTC2358-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2358-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.
