ADSP-BF516BSWZ-4

Analog Devices Inc.
The Blackfin processor family is extended further into the industrial and instrumentation market with the availability of an on chip eMAC, a 3-phase PWM generation unit and a quadrature encoder. The high performance 16/32-bit Blackfin embedded processor core, the flexible cache architecture, the enhanced DMA subsystem, and the dynamic power management (DPM) functionality allow system designers a flexible platform to address a wide range of connected applications, including motor control, power line monitoring, biometrics, pro-audio and femto cells. The embedded eMAC of the BF516 coupled with a 400MHz CPU and a plethora of other peripherals make the BF516 the most attractive choice for demanding network connected systems. The VoIP challenge to the embedded-system designer is to choose a processing solution that is cost-effective, easy to deploy and scaleable in performance across market spaces. A “sweet spot” embedded-solution approach is to design with a platform that can implement a low channel count basic VoIP solution, yet retain sufficient capacity for value added capabilities and services – such as video, music, imaging and system control. Unlike traditional VoIP embedded solutions that utilize two processor cores to provide VoIP functionality, the ADSP-BF516 provides a convergent solution in a unified core architecture that allows voice and video signal processing concurrent with RISC MCU processing to handle network and user-interface demands. This unique ability to offer full VoIP functionality on a single convergent processor provides for a unified software development environment, faster system debugging and deployment, and lower overall system cost. The BF516 also brings ultra low power and a removable storage interface covering SDIO, CE-ATA and eMMC for portable devices.IP protection has become a necessary part of today’s embedded computing applications. The ADSP-BF516 provides a security scheme which balances flexibility and upgradeability with performance through the inclusion of a firmware-based solution including OTP (One Time Programmable) memory to enable users to implement private keys for secure access to program code.

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADT7310 is a high accuracy digital temperature sensor in a narrow SOIC package. It contains a band gap temperature reference and a 13-bit ADC to monitor and digitize the temperature to a 0.0625°C resolution. The ADC resolution, by default, is set to 13 bits (0.0625 °C). This can be changed to 16 bits (0.0078 °C) by setting Bit 7 in the configuration register (Register Address 0x01).The ADT7310 is guaranteed to operate over supply voltages from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. Operating at 3.3 V, the average supply current is typically 210 μA. The ADT7310 has a shutdown mode that powers down the device and offers a shutdown current of typically 2 μA. The ADT7310 is rated for operation over the −55°C to +150°C temperature range. The CT pin is an open-drain output that becomes active when the temperature exceeds a programmable critical temperature limit. The default critical temperature limit is 147°C. The INT pin is also an open-drain output that becomes active when the temperature exceeds a programmable limit. The INT and CT pins can operate in either comparator or interrupt mode.APPLICATIONS Medical equipment Environmental control systems Computer thermal monitoring Thermal protection Industrial process control Power system monitors Hand-held applications

The ADuM1200 is a dual-channel, digital isolator with 2/0 directionality based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technologies, this isolation component provides outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocouplers.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with these iCoupler products. Further-more, iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates. The ADuM120x family of isolators provides two independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide). Both parts operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. In addition, the ADuM120x provide low pulse width distortion (<3 ns for CR grade) and tight channel-to-channel matching (<3 ns for CR grade). Unlike other optocoupler alternatives, the ADuM120x isolators have a patented refresh feature that ensures dc correctness in the absence of input logic transitions and during power-up/power-down conditions.ADuM1200W and ADuM1201W are automotive grade versions qualified for 125°C operation per AEC-Q100. Analog Devices Inc.
The ADuM1201 is a dual-channel, digital isolator with 1/1 channel directionality based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technologies, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocouplers.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The ADuM120x product family of isolators provides two independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide). See the Automotive Products section for more details.APPLICATIONS Size-critical multichannel isolation SPI interface/data converter isolation RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceiver isolation Digital field bus isolation Hybrid electric vehicles, battery monitor, and motor drive
