ADR441ARMZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADR440/ADR441/ADR443/ADR444/ADR445 series is a family of XFET® voltage references featuring ultralow noise, high accuracy, and low temperature drift performance. Using Analog Devices, Inc., patented temperature drift curvature correction and XFET (eXtra implanted junction FET) technology, voltage change vs. temperature nonlinearity in the ADR440/ADR441/ADR443/ADR444/ADR445 is greatly minimized. The XFET references offer better noise performance than buried Zener references, and XFET references operate off low supply voltage headroom (500 mV). This combination of features makes the ADR440/ADR441/ADR443/ADR444/ADR445 family ideally suited for precision signal conversion applications in high-end data acquisition systems, optical networks, and medical applications. The ADR440/ADR441/ADR443/ADR444/ADR445 family has the capability to source up to 10 mA of output current and sink up to −5 mA. It also comes with a trim terminal to adjust the output voltage over a 0.5% range without compromising performance. The ADR440/ADR441/ADR443/ADR444/ADR445 family is available in 8-lead MSOP and narrow SOIC packages and offered in two electrical grades. All versions are specified over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.Applications Precision data acquisition systems High resolution data converters Battery-powered instrumentation Portable medical instruments Industrial process control systems Precision instruments Optical control circuits

Analog Devices Inc.
The Blackfin processor family is extended further into the industrial and instrumentation market with the availability of an on chip eMAC, a 3-phase PWM generation unit and a quadrature encoder. The high performance 16/32-bit Blackfin embedded processor core, the flexible cache architecture, the enhanced DMA subsystem, and the dynamic power management (DPM) functionality allow system designers a flexible platform to address a wide range of connected applications, including motor control, power line monitoring, biometrics, pro-audio and femto cells. The embedded eMAC of the BF516 coupled with a 400MHz CPU and a plethora of other peripherals make the BF516 the most attractive choice for demanding network connected systems. The VoIP challenge to the embedded-system designer is to choose a processing solution that is cost-effective, easy to deploy and scaleable in performance across market spaces. A “sweet spot” embedded-solution approach is to design with a platform that can implement a low channel count basic VoIP solution, yet retain sufficient capacity for value added capabilities and services – such as video, music, imaging and system control. Unlike traditional VoIP embedded solutions that utilize two processor cores to provide VoIP functionality, the ADSP-BF516 provides a convergent solution in a unified core architecture that allows voice and video signal processing concurrent with RISC MCU processing to handle network and user-interface demands. This unique ability to offer full VoIP functionality on a single convergent processor provides for a unified software development environment, faster system debugging and deployment, and lower overall system cost. The BF516 also brings ultra low power and a removable storage interface covering SDIO, CE-ATA and eMMC for portable devices.IP protection has become a necessary part of today’s embedded computing applications. The ADSP-BF516 provides a security scheme which balances flexibility and upgradeability with performance through the inclusion of a firmware-based solution including OTP (One Time Programmable) memory to enable users to implement private keys for secure access to program code.

The ADuM130x are triple-channel digital isolators based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocouplers.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with these iCoupler products. Furthermore, iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth of the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates. The ADuM130x isolators provide three independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide in the data sheet). Both models operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. In addition, the ADuM130x provide low pulse width distortion (<2 ns for CRW grade) and tight channel-to-channel matching (<2 ns for CRW grade). Unlike other optocoupler alternatives, the ADuM130x isolators have a patented refresh feature that ensures dc correctness in the absence of input logic transitions and when power is not applied to one of the supplies.APPLICATIONS General-purpose multichannel isolation SPI interface/data converter isolation RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers Industrial field bus isolation Automotive systems

The ADuM5401 / ADuM5402 / ADuM5403 / ADuM5404 arequad-channel digital isolators with isoPower®, an integrated, isolated dc-to-dc converter. Based on the Analog Devices, Inc.,iCoupler® technology, the dc-to-dc converter provides up to 500 mW of regulated, isolated power at either 5.0 V or 3.3 Vfrom a 5.0 V input supply, or at 3.3 V from a 3.3 V supply at thepower levels shown in Table 1. These devices eliminate the need for a separate, isolated dc-to-dc converter in low power, isolated designs. The iCoupler chip scale transformer technology is used to isolate the logic signals and for the power and feedback pathsin the dc-to-dc converter. The result is a small form factor, total isolation solution. The ADuM5401 / ADuM5402 / ADuM5403 / ADuM5404 isolatorsprovide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guidefor more information).isoPower uses high frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken during printed circuit board (PCB) layout to meet emissions standards. See the AN-0971 Application Note for board layout recommendations.APPLICATIONS RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers Industrial field bus isolation Power supply startup bias and gate drives Isolated sensor interfaces Industrial PLCs
