AD7874BRZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7874 is a four-channel simultaneous sampling, 12-bit data acquisition system. The part contains a high speed 12-bit ADC, on chip reference, on-chip clock and four track/hold amplifiers. This latter feature allows the four input channels to be sampled simultaneously, thus preserving the relative phase information of the four input channels, which is not possible if all four channels share a single track/hold amplifier. This makes the AD7874 ideal for applications such as phased-array sonar and ac motor controllers where the relative phase information is important. The aperture delay of the four track/hold amplifiers is small and specified with minimum and maximum limits. This allows several AD7874s to sample multiple input channels simultaneously without incurring phase errors between signals connected to several devices. A reference output/reference input facility also allows several AD7874s to be driven from the same reference source. In addition to the traditional dc accuracy specifications such as linearity, full-scale and offset errors, the AD7874 is also fully specified for dynamic performance parameters including distortion and signal-to-noise ratio. The AD7874 is fabricated in Analog Devices' Linear Compatible CMOWS (LC2MOS) process, a mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low-power CMOS logic. The part is available in a 28-pin, 0.6' wide, plastic or hermetic dual-in-line package (DIP), in a 28-terminal leadless ceramic chip carrier (LCCC) and in a 28-pin SOIC.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Simultaneous Sampling of Four Input Channels. Four input channels, each with its own track/hold amplifier, allow simultaneous sampling of input signals. Track/hold acquisition time is 2 µs, and the conversion time per channel is 8 µs, allowing 29 kHz sample rate for all four channels. Tight Aperture Delay Matching. The aperture delay for each channel is small and the aperture delay matching between the four channels is less than 4 ns. Additionally, the aperture delay specification has upper and lower limits allowing multiple AD7874s to sample more than four channels. Fast Microprocessor Interface. The high speed digital interface of the AD7874 allows direct connection to all modern 16-bit microprocessors and digital signal processors.APPLICATIONS Sonar Motor Controllers Adaptive Filters Digital Signal Processing

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5253 / AD5254 are quad-channel, I2C, nonvolatile memory, digitally controlled potentiometers with 64/256 positions, respectively. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment functions as mechanical potentiometers, trimmers, and variable resistors. The parts’ versatile programmability allows multiple modes of operation, including read/write access in the RDAC and EEMEM registers, increment/decrement of resistance, resistance changes in ±6 dB scales, wiper setting readback, and extra EEMEM for storing user-defined information, such as memory data for other components, look-up table, or system identification information. The AD5253 / AD5254 allow the host I2C controllers to write any of the 64-/256-step wiper settings in the RDAC registers and store them in the EEMEM. Once the settings are stored, they are restored automatically to the RDAC registers at system power-on; the settings can also be restored dynamically. The AD5253 / AD5254 provide additional increment, decrement, +6 dB step change, and –6 dB step change in synchronous or asynchronous channel update mode. The increment and decrement functions allow stepwise linear adjustments, with a ± 6 dB step change equivalent to doubling or halving the RDAC wiper setting. These functions are useful for steep-slope, nonlinear adjustments, such as white LED brightness and audio volume control. The AD5253 / AD5254 have a patented resistance-tolerance storing function that allows the user to access the EEMEM and obtain the absolute end-to-end resistance values of the RDACs for precision applications. The AD5253 / AD5254 are available in TSSOP-20 packages in 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, and 100 kΩ options. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the –40°C to +105°C extended industrial temperature range. In this data sheet, the nonvolatile memory and EEMEM terms are used interchangeably, as are the digital potentiometer and RDAC terms.APPLICATIONS Mechanical potentiometer replacement Low resolution DAC replacement RGB LED backlight control White LED brightness adjustment RF base station power amp bias control Programmable gain and offset control Programmable attenuators Programmable voltage-to-current conversion Programmable power supply Programmable filters Sensor calibrations

The AD5263 is the industry’s first quad-channel, 256-position, digital potentiometer1 with a selectable digital interface. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors, with enhanced resolution, solid-state reliability, and superior low temperature coefficient performance. Each channel of the AD5263 offers a completely programmable value of resistance between the A terminal and the wiper or between the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 20 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 200 kΩ has a nominal temperature coefficient of ±30 ppm/°C and a ±1% channel-to-channel matching tolerance. Another key feature of this part is the ability to operate from +4.5 V to +15 V, or at ±5 V.Wiper position programming presets to midscale upon power-on. Once powered, the VR wiper position is programmed by either the 3-wire SPI or 2-wire I2C-compatible interface. In the I2C mode, additional programmable logic outputs enable users to drive digital loads, logic gates, and analog switches in their systems. The AD5263 is available in a narrow body, 24-lead TSSOP. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the automotive temperature range of –40°C to +125°C.For single- or dual-channel applications, refer to the AD5260 / AD5280 or AD5262 / AD5282 data sheets. AD5263BRUZ200
Analog Devices Inc.
APPLICATIONS: Mechanical potentiometer replacement Optical network adjustment Instrumentation: gain, offset adjustment Stereo channel audio level control Automotive electronics adjustment Programmable power supply Programmable filters, delays, time constants Line impedance matching Low resolution DAC/trimmer replacement Base station power amp biasing Sensor calibration
