The AD4684/AD4685 are 16-bit, dual, simultaneous sampling, high speed, successive approximation register (SAR), analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a 3.0 V to 3.6 V power supply and feature throughput rates of up to 1 MSPS for the AD4684 and 500 kSPS for the AD4685. The analog input types are single-ended and are sampled and converted on the falling edge of CS.The AD4684/AD4685 have an on-chip sequencer and integrated on-chip oversampling block to improve dynamic range and reduce noise at lower bandwidths. A buffered internal 2.5 V reference is included. Alternatively, an external reference up to 3.3 V can be used. The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs, allowing interfacing to microprocessors or digital signal processors (DSPs). The AD4684/AD4685 is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V interfaces by using the separate logic supply. The MAX3188E/MAX3189E single RS-232 transmitters in a SOT23-6 package are for space- and cost-constrained applications requiring minimal RS-232 communications. These devices consume only 150µA of supply current from ±4.5V to ±6V supplies. They feature a shutdown input that reduces current consumption to only 1µA and forces the transmitter output into a high-impedance state. RS-232 data transmission is guaranteed up to 250kbps with the MAX3188E and up to 1Mbps with the MAX3189E.The MAX3188E/MAX3189E are EIA/TIA-232 transmitters that convert CMOS/TTL logic levels to RS-232-compliant signals. The transmitter output is protected to ±15kV using the IEC 1000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge method, to ±8kV using the IEC 1000-4-2 Contact Discharge method, and to ±15kV per the Human Body Model, ensuring strict compliance with international standards. The AD9776A/AD9778A/AD9779A are dual, 12-/14-/16-bit, high dynamic range digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that provide a sample rate of 1 GSPS, permitting a multicarrier generation up to the Nyquist frequency. They include features optimized for direct conversion transmission applications, including complex digital modulation and gain and offset compensation. The DAC outputs are optimized to interface seamlessly with analog quadrature modulators such as the ADL537x FMOD series from Analog Devices, Inc. A 3-wire interface provides for programming/readback of many internal parameters. Full-scale output current can be programmed over a range of 10 mA to 30 mA. The devices are manufactured on an advanced 0.18 μm CMOS process and operate on 1.8 V and 3.3 V supplies for a total power consumption of 1.0 W. The AD9880 offers designers the flexibility of an analog interface and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI™) receiver integrated on a single chip. Also included is support for High bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).ANALOG INTERFACEThe AD9880 is a complete 8-bit 150 MSPS monolithic analog interface optimized for capturing Component Video (YPbPr) and RGB graphics signals. Its 150 MSPS encode rate capability and full power analog bandwidth of 300 MHz supports all HDTV formats (up to 1080p) and FPD resolutions up to SXGA (1280 × 1024 at 75 Hz).The analog interface includes a 150 MHz triple ADC with internal 1.25V reference, a Phase Locked Loop (PLL), and programmable gain, offset, and clamp control. The user provides only 1.8V and 3.3V power supply, analog input, and Hsync. Three-state CMOS outputs may be powered from 1.8V to 3.3V. The AD9880’s on-chip PLL generates a pixel clock from Hsync. Pixel clock output frequencies range from 12 MHz to 150 MHz. PLL clock jitter is typically less than 500 ps p-p at 150 MHz. The AD9880 also offers full sync processing for composite sync and Sync-on-Green (SOG) applications.DIGITAL INTERFACEThe AD9880 contains a HDMI v1.1 compatible receiver and supports all HDTV formats (up to 1080p) and display resolutions up to SXGA (1280 × 1024 at 75 Hz). The receiver features an intra-pair skew tolerance of up to one full clock cycle. With the inclusion of HDCP, displays may now receive encrypted video content.
