SMP18FRUZ-REEL7

Analog Devices Inc.
The SMP18 is a monolithic octal sample-and-hold; it has eight internal buffer amplifiers, input multiplexer, and internal hold capacitors. It is manufactured in an advanced oxide isolated CMOS technology to obtain high accuracy, low droop rate, and fast acquisition time. The SMP18 has a typical linearity error of only 0.01% and can accurately acquire a 10-bit input signal to ±1/2 LSB in less than 2.5 microseconds. The SMP18's output swing includes the negative supply in both single and dual supply operation. The SMP18 was specifically designed for systems that use a calibration cycle to adjust a multiple of system parameters. The low cost and high level of integration make the SMP18 ideal for calibration requirements that have previously required an ASIC, or high cost multiple D/A converters. The SMP18 is also ideally suited for a wide variety of sample-and- hold applications including amplifier offset or VCA gain adjustments. One or more SMP18s can be used with single or multiple DACs to provide multiple set points within a system. The SMP18 offers significant cost and size reduction over discrete designs. It is available in a 16-pin plastic DIP, a narrow body SO-16 surface-mount SOIC package or the thin TSSOP-16 package. The SMP18 is a higher speed direct replacement for the SMP08.

SSM2135SZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The SSM2135 dual audio operational amplifier permits excel-lent performance in portable or low power audio systems, with an operating supply range of 4 V to 36 V or ±2 V to ±18 V. The unity-gain stable device has very low voltage noise of 5.2 nV/√Hz, and total harmonic distortion plus noise below 0.01% over normal signal levels and loads. Such characteristics are enhanced by wide output swing and load drive capability. A unique output stage1 permits output swing approaching the rail under moderate load conditions. Under severe loading, the SSM2135 still maintains a wide output swing with ultralow distortion. Particularly well suited for computer audio systems and portable digital audio units, the SSM2135 can perform preamplification, headphone and speaker driving, and balanced line driving and receiving. Additionally, the device is ideal for input signal conditioning in single-supply, Σ-Δ, analog-to-digital converter subsystems such as the AD1877. The SSM2135 makes an ideal single-supply stereo output amplifier for audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs) because of its low noise and distortion. The SSM2135 is available in an 8-lead plastic SOIC package and is guaranteed for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.

The DG201A and DG211 are normally closed, quadsingle-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switches. TheseCMOS switches can be continuously operated withpower supplies ranging from ±4.5V to ±18V. Maximguarantees that these switches will not latch up if thepower supplies are disconnected with input signals stillconnected. Both devices have guaranteed break-before-makeswitching. The DG201A differs from the DG211 primarilyin switching speeds. The DG201A has a maximumturn-off time of 450ns and a maximum turn-on time of600ns. The DG211 has a maximum turn-off time of500ns and a maximum turn-on time of 1000ns.Compared to the original manufacturer's products,Maxim's DG201A and DG211 consume significantlylower power making them better suited for portableapplications. MAX9205EVKIT

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX9205/MAX9207 serializers transform 10-bit-wide parallel LVCMOS/LVTTL data into a serial high-speed bus low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) data stream. The serializers typically pair with deserializers like the MAX9206/MAX9208, which receive the serial output and transform it back to 10-bit-wide parallel data. The MAX9205/MAX9207 transmit serial data at speeds up to 400Mbps and 660Mbps, respectively, over PCB traces or twisted-pair cables. Since the clock is recovered from the serial data stream, clock-to-data and data-to-data skew that would be present with a parallel bus are eliminated. The serializers require no external components and few control signals. The input data strobe edge is selected by TCLK_R/F. Active-low PWRDN is used to save power when the devices are not in use. Upon power-up, a synchronization mode is activated, which is controlled by two SYNC inputs, SYNC1 and SYNC2.The MAX9205 can lock to a 16MHz to 40MHz system clock, while the MAX9207 can lock to a 40MHz to 66MHz system clock. The serializer output is held in high impedance until the device is fully locked to the local system clock, or when the device is in power-down mode. Both the devices operate from a single +3.3V supply, are specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C, and are available in 28-pin SSOP packages.ApplicationsAdd/Drop MultiplexersBackplane and Interconnect ApplicationsCell Phone Base Stations Digital Cross-ConnectsDSLAMNetwork Routers and Switches

AD737-EVALZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD737 is a low power, precision, monolithic, true rms-to-dc converter. It is laser trimmed to provide a maximum error of ±0.2 mV ± 0.3% of reading with sine wave inputs. Furthermore, it maintains high accuracy while measuring a wide range of input waveforms, including variable duty cycle pulses and triac (phase) controlled sine waves. The low cost and small physical size of this converter make it suitable for upgrading the performance of non-rms precision rectifiers in many applications. Compared to these circuits, the AD737 offers higher accuracy at equal or lower cost. The AD737 computes the rms value of both the ac and dc input voltages, and is ac-coupled by adding an input capacitor. In this mode, the AD737 can resolve input signal levels of 100 μV rms or less, despite variations in temperature or supply voltage. High accuracy is maintained for input waveforms with crest factors of 1 to 3 and crest factors at 2.5% or less with respect to full-scale input level. The AD737 has no output buffer amplifier, thereby significantly reducing dc offset errors occurring at the output, which makes the device highly compatible with high input impedance ADCs.Requiring only 160 μA of power supply current, the AD737 is optimized for use in portable multimeters and other battery-powered applications. In power-down mode, the standby supply current in is typically 25 μA.The AD737 has both high (1012 Ω) and low impedance input options. The high-Z FET input connects high source impedance input attenuators, and a low impedance (8 kΩ) input accepts rms voltages of up to 0.9 V while operating from the minimum power supply voltage of ±2.5 V. The two inputs can be used either single ended or differentially. The AD737 achieves 1% of reading error bandwidth, exceeding 10 kHz for input amplitudes from 20 mV rms to 200 mV rms, while consuming only 0.72 mW.The AD737 is available in two performance grades. The AD737J and AD737K grades operate over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The AD737JR-5 is tested with supply voltages of ±2.5 V dc. The AD737A grade operates over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The AD737 is available in two low cost, 8-lead packages: PDIP and SOIC_N.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Computes average rectified, absolute, or true rms value of a signal regardless of waveform. Only one external component, an averaging capacitor, is required for the AD737 to perform true rms measurement. The standby power consumption of 125 μW makes the AD737 suitable for battery-powered applications.
