AD7714YRZ-REEL7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7714 is a complete analog front end for low-frequency measurement applications. The device accepts low level signals directly from a transducer and outputs a serial digital word. It employs a sigma-delta conversion technique to realize up to 24 bits of no missing codes performance. The input signal is applied to a proprietary programmable gain front end based around an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by an on-chip digital filter. The first notch of this digital filter can be programmed via the on-chip control register allowing adjustment of the filter cutoff and settling time. The part features three differential analog inputs (which can also be configured as five pseudo-differential analog inputs) as well as a differential reference input. The AD7714 thus performs all signal conditioning and conversion for a system consisting of up to five channels. A new Y grade has recently been added to the existing range. Compared to the A grades this new grade has an extended operating temperature range, schmitt trigger inputs on SCLK and DIN, tighter linearity specifications, lower power consumption and is available in a smaller package. The AD7714 is ideal for use in smart microcontroller- or DSP-based systems. It features a serial interface that can be configured for three-wire operation. Gain settings, signal polarity and channel selection can be configured in software using the serial port. The AD7714 provides self-calibration, system calibration and background calibration options and also allows the user to read and write the on-chip calibration registers. CMOS construction ensures very low power dissipation, and the power-down mode reduces the standby power consumption to 15 µW typical at 3 V. Minimum operating voltage for the A grades is 3 V and 2.7 V for the Y grades. The A grades are available in a 24-pin, 0.3 inch-wide, plastic dual-in-line package (DIP); a 24 lead small outline (SOIC) package and a 28-lead shrink small outline package (SSOP). The new Y grade is available in a 24-pin, 0.3 inch-wide, plastic dual-in-line package (DIP); a 24 lead small outline (SOIC) package and a 24-lead Thin Shrink Small Outline Package (TSSOP).

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7734 is a high precision, high throughput analog front end. True 16-bit p-p resolution is achievable with a total conversion time of 500 μs (2 kHz channel switching), making it ideally suitable for high resolution multiplexing applications. The device can be configured via a simple digital interface, which allows users to balance the noise performance against data throughput up to a 15.4 kHz.The analog front end features four single-ended input channels with unipolar or true bipolar input ranges to ±10 V while operating from a single +5 V analog supply. The device has an overrange and underrange detection capability and accepts an analog input overvoltage to ±16.5 V without degrading the performance of the adjacent channels. The differential reference input features “No-Reference” detect capability. The ADC also supports per channel system calibration options. The digital serial interface can be configured for 3-wire operation and is compatible with microcontrollers and digital signal processors. All interface inputs are Schmitt triggered. The device is specified for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of –40°C to +105°C.Other devices in the AD7734 family are the AD7732 and the AD7738.The AD7732 is similar to AD7734, but its analog front end features two fully differential input channels. The AD7738 analog front end is configurable for four fully differential or eight single-ended input channels, features 0.625 V to 2.5 V bipolar/unipolar input ranges, and accepts a common-mode input voltage from 200 mV to AVDD–300 mV. The AD7738 multiplexer output is pinned out externally, allowing the user to implement programmable gain or signal conditioning before being applied to the ADC.APPLICATIONS PLCs/DCS Multiplexing applications Process control Industrial instrumentation

The ADC contains self-calibration and system calibration options to ensure accurate operation over time and temperature and have a number of power-down options for low power applications. The AD7859 is capable of 200 kHz throughput rate while the AD7859L is capable of 100 kHz throughput rate. The input track-and-hold acquires a signal in 500 ns and features a pseudo-differential sampling scheme. The AD7859 and AD7859L input voltage range is 0 to VREF (unipolar) and -VREF/2 to +VREF/2 about VREF/2 (bipolar) with both straight binary and 2s complement output coding respectively. Input signal range is to the supply and the part is capable of converting full-power signals to 100 kHz. CMOS construction ensures low power dissipation of typically 5.4 mW for normal operation and 3.6 µW in power-down mode. The part is available in 44-pin, plastic quad flatpack package (PQFP) and plastic lead chip carrier (PLCC).

The AD7986 is an 18-bit, 2 MSPS successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, an internal reference (and buffer), error correction circuits, anda versatile serial interface port. On the rising edge of CNV, the AD7986 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ andIN− pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing in opposite phases between 0 V and VREF. It features a very high samplingrate turbo mode (TURBO = high) and a reduced power normal mode (TURBO = low) for low power applications where thepower is scaled with the throughput. In normal mode (TURBO = low), the SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisychainseveral ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provide an optional busy indicator. It is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 2.7 V using theseparate VIO supply. The AD7986 is available in a 20-lead LFCSP with operationspecified from −40°C to +85°C. Applications Battery-powered equipment Data acquisition systems Medical instruments Seismic data acquisition systems
