AD524CD
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD524 is a precision monolithic instrumentation amplifier designed for data acquisition applications requiring high accuracy under worst-case operating conditions. An outstanding combination of high linearity, high common mode rejection, low offset voltage drift, and low noise makes the AD524 suitable for use in many data acquisition systems. The AD524 has an output offset voltage drift of less than 25 µV/ °C, input offset voltage drift of less than 0.5 µV/°C, CMR above 90 dB at unity gain (120 dB at G = 1000) and maximum nonlinearity of 0.003% at G = 1. In addition to the outstanding dc specifications the AD524 also has a 25MHz gain bandwidth product (G = 1000). To make it suitable for high speed data ac-quisition systems the AD524 has an output slew rate of 5 V/µs and settles in 15µs to 0.01% for gains of 1 to 100.As a complete amplifier the AD524 does not require any external components for fixed gains of 1, 10, 100 and 1,000. For other gain settings between 1 and 1000 only a single resistor is required. The AD524 input is fully protected for both power on and power off fault conditions. The AD524 IC instrumentation amplifier is available in four different versions of accuracy and operating temperature range. The economical 'A' grade, the low drift 'B' grade and lower drift, higher linearity 'C' grade are specified from -25°C to +85°C. The 'S' grade guarantees performance to specification over the extended temperature range -55°C to +125°C. Devices are available in 16-pin ceramic DIP and SOIC packages and a 20-terminal leadless chip carrier.Product HighlightsThe AD524 has guaranteed low offset voltage, offset voltage drift, and low noise for precision high gain applications. The AD524 is functionally complete with pin program- mable gains of 1, 10, 100, and 1000, and single resistor programmable for any gain. Input and output offset nulling terminals are provided for very high precision applications and to minimize offset voltage changes in gain ranging applications. The AD524 is input protected for both power-on and power-off fault conditions. The AD524 offers superior dynamic performance with a gain bandwidth product of 25 MHz, full power response of 75 kHz and a settling time of 15 μs to 0.01% of a 20 V step (G = 100). Data Sheet, Rev. The AD5259 provides a compact, nonvolatile LFCSP-10 (3 mm x 3 mm) or MSOP-10 (3 mm x 4.9 mm) packaged solution for 256-position adjustment applications. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as mechanical potentiometers or variable resistors, but with enhanced resolution and solid-state reliability. The terms digital potentiometer, VR (variable resistor), and RDAC are used interchangeably. The wiper settings are controllable through an I2C-compatible digital interface that is also used to read back the wiper register and EEPROM content. Resistor tolerance is also stored within EEPROM, providing an end-to-end tolerance accuracy of 0.1%.A separate VLOGIC pin delivers increased interface flexibility. AD5262BRUZ20
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5260 / AD5262 provide a single- or dual-channel, 256- position, digitally controlled variable resistor (VR) device.1 These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor. Each channel of the AD5260/AD5262 contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digital code loaded into the SPI-compatible serial-input register. The resistance between the wiper and either end point of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. The variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance, between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 20 Ω, 50 Ω, or 200 Ω has a nominal temperature coefficient of 35 ppm/°C. Unlike the majority of the digital potentiometers in the market, these devices can operate up to 15 V or ±5 V provided proper supply voltages are furnished. Each VR has its own VR latch that holds its programmed resistance value. These VR latches are updated from an internal serial-to-parallel shift register, which is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial-input digital interface. The AD5260 contains an 8-bit serial register whereas the AD5262 contains a 9-bit serial register. Each bit is clocked into the register on the positive edge of the CLK pin. The AD5262 address bit determines the corresponding VR latch to be loaded with the last eight bits of the data word during the positive edging of CS strobe. A serial data output pin at the opposite end of the serial register enables simple daisy-chaining in multiple VR applications without additional external decoding logic. An optional reset pin (PR) forces the wiper to the midscale position by loading 0x80 into the VR latch. The AD5260 / AD5262 are available in thin surface-mount 14-lead TSSOP and 16-lead TSSOP packages. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.APPLICATIONS Mechanical potentiometer replacement Instrumentation: gain, offset adjustment Stereo channel audio level control Programmable voltage-to-current conversion Programmable filters, delays, time constants Line impedance matching Low resolution DAC replacement

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5602 / AD5612 / AD5622, members of the nanoDAC® family, are single 8-/10-/12-bit buffered voltage-out DACs that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, consuming <100 µA at 5 V. The AD5602 / AD5612 / AD5622 comes in a tiny LFCSP and SC70 packages. Each DAC contains an on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing to be achieved. The AD5602 / AD5612 / AD5622 utilizes a 2-wire I2C-compatible serial interface that operates in standard (100 KHz), fast (400 KHz) and high speed (3.4 MHz) modes. The references for AD5602 / AD5612 / AD5622 are derived from the power supply inputs and to give the widest dynamic output range. Each part incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC output powers up to 0 V and remains there until a valid write takes place to the device. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to <150 nA at 3 V and provides software selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The devices are put into power-down mode over the serial interface. The low power consumption of the AD5602 / AD5612 / AD5622 in normal operation makes them ideally suited to portable battery operated equipment. The power consumption is 0.4 mW at 5 V.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Available in 6-lead LFCSP and SC70 packages. Max 100µA power consumption, single-supply operation. This part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and typically consumes 0.2 mW at 3 V and 0.4 mW at 5 V, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. The on-chip output buffer amplifier allows the output of the DAC to swing rail-to-rail with a typical slew rate of 0.5 V/µs. Reference derived from the power supply. Standard, fast and high speed mode I2C interface. Designed for very low power consumption. Power-down capability. When powered down, the DAC typically consumes <150 nA at 3 V. Power-on-reset and brown out detection.APPLICATIONS Process control Data acquisition systems Portable battery-powered instruments Digital gain and offset adjustment Programmable voltage and current sources Programmable attenuators
