The ADSP-SC583 processor is part of the new, high-performance, power-efficient, real-time series that delivers greater than 24 giga-floating-point operations per second using two enhanced SHARC+® cores and advanced DSP accelerators (FFT, FIR, IIR). The ADSP-SC58x and ADSP-2158x series consume less than 2 watts, making the new processor line-up more than 5x more power efficient than previous SHARC products. This advantage provides industry leading digital signal processing performance for applications where thermal management sets the limit for power consumption, or where the higher costs and lower reliability of fans cannot be tolerated.  Applications include automotive, consumer and professional audio, multi-axis motor control, and energy distribution systems. The ADSP-SC58x products complement the SHARC+ cores and DSP accelerators with the addition of an ARM® Cortex-A5 processor, with FPU and Neon® DSP extensions to handle additional real-time processing tasks and manage peripherals used to interface to time-critical data in audio, industrial closed-loop control, and industrial sensing applications. The Blackfin® Processor family has been expanded to address the ever-increasing need for pervasive embedded network connectivity. This connectivity is powerful when utilized in conjunction with the high performance 16-/32-bit Blackfin embedded processor core, the flexible cache architecture, the enhanced DMA subsystem, and the Dynamic Power Management (DPM) functionality. System designers can take advantage of the combined control and signal processing capabilities of the processor core across a wide range of end applications through the scalability of the pin and code compatibility of these new family members. The ADSP-BF536 and ADSP-BF537 are a functional extension of the popular ADSP-BF531 / ADSP-BF532 / ADSP-BF533 processors, and they are ideally suited for a variety of networked applications. The ADSP-BF537 is the higher performance series member, with more embedded memory enabling higher throughput needs for embedded applications suchas video security/surveillance and industrial-environment-based distributed control/factory automation applications. The ADSP-BF536 offers exceptional performance and is designed for low cost connected devices such as remote monitoring devices, VoIP, point-of-sale terminals, and biometrics/security applications. The third generation of SHARC® Processors offers increased performance, audio and application-focused peripherals, and new memory configurations. The ADSP-21369 increases performance to 400MHz while simplifying algorithm development with the integration of a high-bandwidth and very flexible external memory interface. The ADSP-21369 is based on a single-instruction, multiple-data (SIMD) core which supports both 32-bit fixed-point and 32-/40-bit floating point arithmetic formats and is completely code-compatible with all prior SHARC Processors allowing for maximum reuse of legacy code.The ADSP-21369 increases the amount of on-chip memory to 2Mb SRAM and 6Mb ROM while integrating a variety of audio-specific and general purpose peripherals. Peripherals such as an all digital S/PDIF transmitter/receiver, 8-channel asynchronous sample rate converter, 8 high-speed serial ports, 4 precision clock generators, and multiple serial interfaces combine to ensure the ADSP-21369 maximizes system throughput while minimizing system bill of materials costs.
