Demonstration circuit 1590B is a dual output synchronous buck converter featuring the LTC3880EUJ, a dual output peak current mode controller with digital power system management. There are two versions of the board available: DC1590B-A senses the output current across a sense resistor and has a default switching frequency of 350kHz, and DC1590B-B senses output current with the inductor DCR and has a default switching frequency of 425kHz. Either version can be populated with the LTC3880EUJ-1 (which allows the user to provide bias power to the IC from an external power supply) instead of the LTC3880EUJ. These boards provide two programmable outputs of 20A each. The factory default settings are 1.8V for each output.

Demonstration circuit 1801A is a dual output 1.5V/20A and 1.2V/20A synchronous buck converter operating with a switching frequency of 300kHz over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 14V. The demo board comes in two versions. The A version uses inductor DCR current sensing for high efficiency. The B version uses 2mΩ sense resistor for accurate current sensing with a low DCR ferrite inductor. The fixed on-time valley current mode topology of the LTC3838 allows for a fast load step response.

The LTC5562 is a versatile low power mixer optimized for applications requiring very wide input bandwidth, low distortion, and low LO leakage. This mixer can be used for either upconverting or downconverting applications, and provides a nominal conversion gain of 1dB. Demonstration circuit 2483A-A showcases the LTC5562 mixer for upconverting applications while demonstration circuit 2483A-B is tuned for downconverting applications. The differential inputs are optimized for use with 1:1 transmission- line baluns, allowing very wideband impedance matching. The LTC5562 uses a 3.3V supply for low power consumption and an enable pin allows the part to be shut down for further power savings. The total mixer current is adjustable, allowing for even further power savings. The standard match frequency ranges for each board are outlined in the table below.

Demonstration circuit 1247A features the LT3582 an I2C Programmable Boost and Single Inductor Inverting DC/DC Converters with OTP. It converts a 2.7V-5.5V source to two outputs, a positive and a negative. The positive output can be programmed from 3.2V to 12.775V at 25mV intervals and the negative from -1.2V to -13.95V at 50mV intervals, all via the QuickEval™ System. A DC590B is needed for evaluation of this demo board. Table 1 below shows the maximum expected load currents for some output/input combinations. The LT3582 features all integrated switches and feedback resistors, a low noise control scheme, positive output disconnect function, low quiescent current, built in softstart.
