LTC4365CTS8-1 Demo Board | High Voltage NFET Driver for UV, OV and Reverse Supply Protection with 1ms Fault Recovery

Demonstration circuit DC1555C is intended to demonstrate the performance of the LTC4365 and LTC4365-1 Undervoltage, Overvoltage and Reverse Supply Protection Controllers. The LTC4365/LTC4365-1 protect circuits from input voltages that may be too high, too low or negative. It operates by controlling the gates of two back-to-back connected MOSFETs to keep the output in a safe range. The OV and UV protection levels are adjusted by resistive dividers at the OV and UV pins. Asserting the SHDN pin disables the MOSFETs and places the controller in a low-current shutdown state. The FAULT pin is asserted when the Controller is in shutdown mode or when the input voltage is outside of the UV or OV level.

Demonstration circuit 2222A features the LTC®2500-32, LTC2508-32 and LTC2512-24 ADCs. The LTC2500-32, LTC2508-32 and LTC2512-24 are low power, low noise, high speed, 32-bit/24-bit SAR ADCs with an integrated configurable digital averaging filter that operate from a single 2.5V supply. The following text refers to the LTC2508-32 but applies to all parts, the only difference being sample rate and number of bits. The DC2222A demonstrates the DC and AC performance of the LTC2508-32 in conjunction with the DC590 or DC2026 QuikEval™ and DC890 PScope™ data collection boards. Use the DC590 or DC2026 to demonstrate DC performance such as peak-to-peak noise and DC linearity. Use the DC890 if precise sampling rates are required or to demonstrate AC performance such as SNR, THD, SINAD and SFDR. The DC2222A is intended to show recommended grounding, component placement and selection, routing and bypassing for this ADC.

DC1870A is a 1.5A low dropout linear regulator featuring the LT3081. The device is designed for rugged industrial applications and can be paralleled for higher output current or heat spreading. Besides paralleling, the LT3081 also presents other features including adjustability to zero VOUT, reverse protection for input and output-to-input voltages, temperature monitor, output current monitor, etc. A key feature of the LT3081 is the extended safe operating area (SOA). With the precision zero TC 50μA reference current source, a single resistor programs the output voltage to any level between zero and 34.5V. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery and reverse-current protection, current limiting and thermal limiting.

AD2428 MINI Break-Out Board (32-Pin & 100-Pin Connectors)

ADZS-AD2428MINI is a low-cost, mini break-out board which can interface with EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT (via a 100-pin connector) or any custom board (via a 32 pin 0.1" header). It supports main and subordinate node capability as well as bus and local power configurations.
An Automotive Audio Bus (A2B®) system consists of a single main node and at least one subordinate node, where the transceiver at the host controller is the main node. The main transceiver generates clock, synchronization, and framing for all subordinate nodes and is programmable over a control bus (I2C) for configuration and readback. An extension of this control bus is embedded in the A2B data stream, which enables the host to directly access subordinate transceiver registers and any I2C-connected peripherals on subordinate nodes.
Transceivers can connect directly to PDM microphones and to numerous peripherals via I2C and a multichannel I2S/TDM interface. Finally, the transceiver also supports an A2B bus powering feature, where the main node supplies voltage and current to the subordinate nodes over the same daisy-chained, twisted pair wire cable as used for the communication link, thus eliminating the need for a power supply on bus-powered subordinate nodes. Due to the numerous configurations that are possible for a given A2B system, there are several evaluation platforms that can be used in combination to verify system operation, as summarized in the table below.

The EV-SC594-SOM enables evaluation and rapid prototyping of designs featuring the ADSP-SC59x Family (ADSP-SC592/ADSP-SC594) of SHARC audio processors.
