LTC3833EFE Demo Board | VIN = 4.5V to 24V, VOUT1 = 1.5V @ 15A, Inductor DCR Sensing, 89.4% Efficiency

Demonstration circuit 1516A is a 1.5V/15A synchronous buck converter operating with a switching frequency of 300kHz over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 24V. The demo board comes in two versions. The -A version uses inductor DCR current sensing with an iron powder inductor for highest efficiency. The -B version uses a 2.5mΩ/1% sense resistor for accurate current sensing with a low DCR ferrite inductor. The fixed on-time valley current mode control of the LTC3833 allows for a fast load step response.

Demonstration circuit 1750A is a 42V, 2.5A micropower synchronous step-down regulator with current sense featuring the LT8611. The LT8611 is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator that consumes only 2.5μA of quiescent current when the output is regulated at 3.3V. The demo board has an input voltage range from 3.8V to 42V and provides an output of 3.3V @ 2.5A. The current limit can be moved to the input side for application where input supply current is limited, such as energy harvesting application. ICTRL and IMON on the board set and monitor the regulated current respectively.

Demonstration circuit 1855A is a dual, micropower, low noise and low dropout voltage linear regulator featuring the LT3030. The input voltages are independent for each channel of DC1855A and can range from 2.2V to 20V. Each channel has a jumper that sets the output voltage to either 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V or a voltage that is user-programmed by the installation of a resistor. For channel 1 and channel 2, the maximum output currents are 750mA and 250mA and the ceramic output capacitors are 22μF and 10μF respectively. The internal reference of each channel is bypassed with a 10nF capacitor for reduced output noise. Each channel has a jumper for shutdown and a terminal for PWRGD that is pulled up to the input supply. A resistor divider can be easily added that allows precise lockout at low input voltages.

Demonstration circuit 2161A showcases the LTC4231 Micropower Hot Swap™ Controller in a 12V, 3A application. Included on the board are input overvoltage and reverse voltage protection, input voltage dividers for UV and OV detection, an output voltage LED, jumpers to disable UV/OV, manual and remote enable control, and quiescent current measurement. There are turrets provided to monitor input voltage, output voltage, output status, quiescent current, several ground connections, timer pin, and control the ON pin. Input, output and return voltages are provided on banana jacks.

The EVAL-ADXL371Z is a simple evaluation board that allows quick evaluation of the performance of the ADXL371 ultralow power, 3-axis, digital output MEMS accelerometer. The EVAL-ADXL371Z is ideal for evaluation of the ADXL371 in an existing system because the stiffness and the small size of the evaluation board minimize the effect of the board on both the system and acceleration measurements. LT3001 Demo Board | Micropower No-Opto isolated Flyback Converter with 65V/1.2A Switch

Demonstration circuit 3006A is a compact no-opto isolated flyback converter featuring the LT3001. The DC3006A outputs 12V, and maintains tight regulation with as load current from 1.5mA up to 300mA over an input voltage from 4V to 32V. The output current capability increases with the input voltage, as shown in the Performance Summary table. Transformer leakage inductance causes a voltage spike on the primary side after the power switch turns off. The leakage inductance spike is limited within the MOSFET’s voltage rating of 65V with an RC snubber and a TVS clamp which damp the ringing and clamp the MOSFET drain voltage to a safe level.  The Performance Summary table summarizes the performance of the demo board at room temperature. The demo circuit can be easily modified for different applications with some pre-designed transformers. The LT3001 datasheet gives a complete description of the part, operation and application information. The datasheet must be read in conjunction with this quick start guide for demo circuit 3006A.
