The ADuCM4050WL EZ-KIT® and ADuCM4050LF EZ-KIT®, Analog Devices, Inc. are an evaluation system for the ADuCM4050 MCU, for the WLCSP and LFCSP packages respectively. The ADuCM4050 processor is an ultra low-power integrated mixed-signal microcontroller system for processing, control and connectivity. The MCU system is based on the ARM Cortex-M4F processor. The MCU also has a collection of digital peripherals, embedded SRAM and flash memory, and an analog subsystem which provides clocking, reset, and power management capability in addition to an ADC subsystem. The EZ-KIT contains an array of three connectors that support the ADF7xxx Wireless Transceiver series of daughterboard products. Refer to ADF7xxx Wireless Transceiver Daughterboard Interface for more information. The EZ-KIT contains Expansion Interface 3 (EI3) and Arduino interfaces. These interfaces provide connections for daughterboards to expand the functionality of the EZ-KIT. Refer to Expansion Interface 3 and Arduino Interface for more information. Demonstration circuit 1750A is a 42V, 2.5A micropower synchronous step-down regulator with current sense featuring the LT8611. The LT8611 is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator that consumes only 2.5μA of quiescent current when the output is regulated at 3.3V. The demo board has an input voltage range from 3.8V to 42V and provides an output of 3.3V @ 2.5A. The current limit can be moved to the input side for application where input supply current is limited, such as energy harvesting application. ICTRL and IMON on the board set and monitor the regulated current respectively.

Demonstration circuit 1855A is a dual, micropower, low noise and low dropout voltage linear regulator featuring the LT3030. The input voltages are independent for each channel of DC1855A and can range from 2.2V to 20V. Each channel has a jumper that sets the output voltage to either 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V or a voltage that is user-programmed by the installation of a resistor. For channel 1 and channel 2, the maximum output currents are 750mA and 250mA and the ceramic output capacitors are 22μF and 10μF respectively. The internal reference of each channel is bypassed with a 10nF capacitor for reduced output noise. Each channel has a jumper for shutdown and a terminal for PWRGD that is pulled up to the input supply. A resistor divider can be easily added that allows precise lockout at low input voltages.

Demonstration circuit 2161A showcases the LTC4231 Micropower Hot Swap™ Controller in a 12V, 3A application. Included on the board are input overvoltage and reverse voltage protection, input voltage dividers for UV and OV detection, an output voltage LED, jumpers to disable UV/OV, manual and remote enable control, and quiescent current measurement. There are turrets provided to monitor input voltage, output voltage, output status, quiescent current, several ground connections, timer pin, and control the ON pin. Input, output and return voltages are provided on banana jacks.

Demonstration circuit DC2448A-C features a PolyPhase® design using the LTM4636EY, a 40A high efficiency, switch mode step-down power µModule® regulator. The input voltage range is from 4.7V to 15V. When VIN < 5.5V, short PVCC to VIN with R1 = 0Ω, and set R3 = 0Ω and remove R2. The output voltage range is 0.6V to 3.3V. The DC2448A-C can deliver a nominal 160A output current. As explained in the data sheet, output current derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE_PLLIN jumper selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. The MODE_PLLIN pin also allows the LTM4636 to synchronize to an external clock signal. The phases of the four LTM4636s are 0 degree, 90 degree, 180 degree and 270 degree. DC2448A-C has the option of choosing both internal and external compensation circuit for LTM4636. The LTM4636 datasheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual prior to working on or modifying demo circuit DC2448A-C.

DC250A-A: Demo Board for the LTC1503 High Efficiency Inductorless Step-Down DC/DC Converter.

Demonstration circuit 1320 is a high power density step-down DC/DC converter featuring the LTC3608EWKG (DC1320A-A) or the LTC3609EWKG (DC1320A-B) high current, high input voltage monolithic DC/DC step-down converter. The input voltage of the DC1320A-A is from 5V to 20V and it provides a jumper-selectable output voltage of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V @ 8A.
