The LTC3875 is a dual output current mode synchronous step-down DC/DC controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stages. It employs a unique architecture that enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the current sense signal, allowing the use of very low DC resistance (DCR) power inductors to maximize efficiency in high current applications. This feature also reduces the switching jitter commonly found in low DCR applications with current mode control. The LTC3875 features two high speed differential amplifiers which can be used to compensate for the voltage drop from the LTC3875 to the load. Its DCR temperature compensated adjustable over current trip points from 10mV to 30mV limits the maximum output current precisely over temperature.A unique thermal balancing function adjusts per phase current to minimize the thermal stress for multichip single output applications. The LTC3875 is available in the 40- lead 6mm ? 6mm (0.5mm pitch) and 40-lead 5mm ? 5mm (0.4mm pitch) QFN packages.APPLICATIONS Servers and Instruments Telecom Systems DC Power Distribution Systems

The LTC2404/LTC2408 are 4-/8-channel 2.7V to 5.5V micropower 24-bit A/D converters with an integrated oscillator, 4ppm INL and 0.3ppm RMS noise. They use delta-sigma technology and provide single cycle digital filter settling time (no latency delay) for multiplexed applications. The first conversion after the channel is changed is always valid. Through a single pin the LTC2404/LTC2408 can be configured for better than 110dB rejection at 50Hz or 60Hz ?2%, or can be driven by an external oscillator for a user defined rejection frequency in the range 1Hz to 120Hz. The internal oscillator requires no external frequency setting components. The converters accept any external reference voltage from 0.1V to VCC. With their extended input conversion range of ?12.5% VREF to 112.5% VREF the LTC2404/LTC2408 smoothly resolve the offset and overrange problems of preceding sensors or signal conditioning circuits. The LTC2404/LTC2408 communicate through a flexible 4-wire digital interface which is compatible with SPI and MICROWIRE? protocols.Applications Weight Scales Direct Temperature Measurement Gas Analyzers Strain-Gage Transducers Instrumentation Data Acquisition Industrial Process Control 6-Digit DVMs

Demonstration Circuit DC1658A is a 20V High Efficiency Nanopower Step-Down Regulator featuring the LTC3388-1/ LTC3388-3. The LTC3388 is an ultralow quiescent current power supply designed to regulate the output voltage by means of a nanopower high efficiency synchronous buck regulator. The input current is only 720nA typical at no load while maintaining output voltage regulation, capable of supplying 50mA of load current. The LTC3388-1/ LTC3388-3 also incorporates an accurate undervoltage lockout feature to disable the converter and maintain a low quiescent current state when the input voltage falls below 2.3V. In regulation, the LTC3388-1/LTC3388-3 enter a sleep state in which both input and output quiescent currents are minimal. The buck converter turns on and off as needed to maintain regulation. An additional standby mode disables the buck switching while the output is in regulation for short duration loads requiring low ripple.
