The LT4363 surge stopper protects loads from high voltage transients. It regulates the output during an overvoltage event, such as load dump in vehicles, by controlling the gate of an external N-channel MOSFET. The output is limited to a safe value allowing the loads to continue functioning. The LT4363 also monitors the voltage drop between the SNS and OUT pins to protect against overcurrent faults. An internal amplifier limits the voltage across the current sense resistor to 50mV. In either fault condition, a timer is started inversely proportional to MOSFET stress. Before the timer expires, the FLT pin pulls low to warn of an impending power down. If the condition persists, the MOSFET is turned off. The LT4363-1 remains off until reset whereas the LT4363-2 restarts after a cool down period.Two precision comparators can monitor the input supply for overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) conditions. When the potential is below the UV threshold, the external MOSFET is kept off. If the input supply voltage is above the OV threshold, the MOSFET is not allowed to turn back on. Back-to-back MOSFETs can be used in lieu of a Schottky diode for reverse input protection, reducing voltage drop and power loss. The LTC3350 is a backup power controller that can charge and monitor a series stack of one to four supercapacitors. The LTC3350?s synchronous step-down controller drives N?channel MOSFETs for constant current/constant voltage charging with programmable input current limit. In addition, the step-down converter can run in reverse as a step-up converter to deliver power from the supercapacitor stack to the backup supply rail. Internal balancers eliminate the need for external balance resistors and each capacitor has a shunt regulator for overvoltage protection.The LTC3350 monitors system voltages, currents, stack capacitance and stack ESR which can all be read over the I2C/SMBus. The LTC4218 is a Hot Swap?controller that allows a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane. An internal high side switch driver controls the gate of an external N-channel MOSFET for supply voltages from 2.9V to 26.5V. A dedicated 12V version (LTC4218-12) contains preset 12V specific thresholds, while the standard LTC4218 allows adjustable thresholds.The LTC4218 provides an accurate (5%) current limit with current foldback limiting. The current limit threshold can be adjusted dynamically using an external pin. Demonstration circuits 1053A-E through 1053A-H exercise the LTC3526L family of high efficiency synchronous boost converters, and are capable of operating with an input voltage range from 0.8V to 5.5V. The 2 × 2 mm DFN thermally enhanced package, high switching frequency (1MHz or 2MHz) and 550mA internal power switches provide a very tiny solution. The LTC3526L family also features output disconnect, and the input voltage can be greater or less than the output voltage. DC1053A-E features the LTC3526L (Burst mode operation) and the DC1053A-F features the LTC3526LB (Burst mode defeated). Both have a 1MHz switching frequency and use a 4.7µH inductor.

Demonstration Circuit 1073 is a 100kHz-500kHz programmable frequency, high voltage, current-mode DC/DC step-down converter featuring the LT3845. The operating frequency can be synchronized up to 600kHz. The demo board is designed for 12V @ 6.25A (75W) output from a 20V to 55V input. A soft-start feature controls the output voltage slew rate at start-up, reducing current surges and voltage overshoots. The modes of operation (Burst Mode, Discontinuous Current Mode and Continuous Current Mode) are jumper selectable. Both Burst Mode and Discontinuous Current Mode increase the efficiency at light loads. Continuous Current Mode will maintain a constant switching frequency regardless of the load current.

The LTC2630 is a family of 12-, 10-, and 8-bit voltage output DACs with an integrated, high-accuracy, low-drift reference in a 6-lead SC70 package.
