Demonstration circuit 2321A is a low power wireless sensor node development platform equipped with an E-ink display for user feedback. The system is capable of monitoring and managing its available energy, logging information from sensors and sharing this data over a wireless network. The board is designed to connect to the DC2344A or DC2509A energy harvesting demonstration boards which output a regulated power supply as well as status information from energy harvesting ICs and their backup batteries. Two coulomb counters on the DC2321A allow the processor to monitor the energy output of these batteries which will vary depending on the amount of energy which can be harvested from the system’s surroundings. A DC2274A-A SmartMesh Manager must be used in order to evaluate the networking features of the DC2321A.

Demonstration circuits 2324A-A, 2324A-B, and 2324A-C are active clamp forward converters with synchronous rectification featuring the LT3753. These circuits were designed to demonstrate the high level of performance, efficiency and small solution size attainable using this part. They operate at 240kHz. The DC2324A-A produces a 24V/5A output from an input voltage range of 36V to 72V. The DC2324A-B produces a 24V/5A output from an input voltage range of 18V to 36V. The DC2324A-C produces a 24V/4A output from an input voltage range of 9V to 18V, making it suitable for telecom, industrial and other isolated power supply applications. They all have an eighth-brick footprint area. Synchronous rectification helps to attain efficiency exceeding 94% (exceeding 95% for the DC2324A-A and DC2324A-B).

Demonstration circuit 2365A highlights the LTC2358 family of buffered input ADCs. The LTC2358/LTC2357/LTC2353/LTC2333 are low noise, high speed, 16-/18-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs with integrated front end buffers. These ADCs accept a wide common mode range. Pico-amp inputs and high CMRR enable these ADCs to connect directly to a wide range of sensors without compromising measurement accuracy. The demo manual refers to the LTC2358-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only differences being the number of bits, number of channels and the maximum sample rate. The LTC2358-18 has a flexible SoftSpan™ interface that allows conversion-by-conversion control of the input voltage span on a per-channel basis. An internal 2.048V reference and 2X buffer simplify basic operation while an external reference can be used to increase the input range and the SNR of the ADC.

The LTM2893 is a high speed isolated ?Module (micromodule) SPI interface with ADC control signals. The LTM2893 is optimized for isolating 1Msps high resolution 18-bit SAR ADCs, such as the LTC2338 and similar families, and can interface with most general purpose ADCs. The LTM2893-1 is optimized for isolating the LTC2348 and similar families of simultaneous sampling ADCs that require writing configuration settings into the ADC. LTM2893 isolates the conversion start, sampling signal, with very low aperture jitter (30ps) and low latency (20ns).The interface enables fast throughput with no cycle latency, which makes the LTM2893 ideally suited for a wide variety of applications. The LTM2893 has a high speed SPI-compatible serial port that supports 1.71V to 5.5V logic and is configurable for ADCs with 8 to 32 bit SPI word lengths. It also isolates three select signals (SA, SB, SC) for controlling analog multiplexers or gain settings.The isolation barrier tolerates large voltage ground variations between the logic interface and the isolated side of the LTM2893. The LTC1535 is an isolated RS485 full-duplex differential line transceiver. Isolated RS485 is ideal for systems where the ground loop is broken to allow for much larger common mode voltage ranges. An internal capacitive isolation barrier provides 2500VRMS of isolation between the line transceiver and the logic level interface. The powered side contains a 420kHz push-pull converter to power the isolated RS485 transceiver. Internal full-duplex communication occurs through the capacitive isolation barrier. The transceiver meets RS485 and RS422 requirements. The driver and receiver feature three-state outputs, with the driver maintaining high impedance over the entire common mode range. The drivers have short-circuit current limits in both directions and a slow slew rate select to minimize EMI or reflections. The 68k? receiver input allows up to 128 node connections. The LTC1666/LTC1667/LTC1668 are 12-/14-/16-bit, 50Msps differential current output DACs implemented on a high performance BiCMOS process with laser trimmed, thin-film resistors. The combination of a novel current-steering architecture and a high performance process produces DACs with exceptional AC and DC performance. The LTC1668 is the first 16-bit DAC in the marketplace to exhibit an SFDR (spurious free dynamic range) of 87dB for an output signal frequency of 1MHz.Operating from ?5V supplies, the LTC1666/LTC1667/LTC1668 can be configured to provide full-scale output currents up to 10mA. The differential current outputs of the DACs allow single-ended or true differential operation. The ?1V to 1V output compliance of the LTC1666/LTC1667/LTC1668 allows the outputs to be connected directly to external resistors to produce a differential output voltage without degrading the converter?s linearity. LT8603 Demo Board | 42V, Low IQ, Quad Output Triple Monolithic Buck Converter with Boost Channel as SEPIC

Demonstration circuit 2469A features the LT8603 with triple monolithic buck regulators and the boost channel as SEPIC. The demo circuit is designed for 8V, 5V, 3.3V, and 1.8V outputs from a nominal 12V input. The 4th channel is set as a SEPIC converter and its output is regulated at 8V over a wide input range. The two high voltage buck regulators are powered from VOUT4. VOUT1 is regulated at 5V with 1.5A maximum output load current, and VOUT2 is at 3.3V with 2.5A maximum output load current. The low voltage buck is powered from VOUT2 (3.3V), and the output VOUT3 is regulated at 1.8V with 1.8A maximum load current. Thanks to the SEPIC converter, all four outputs can ride through a cold crank in automotive applications while providing regulated output voltages.
