The ADL5536 is a 20 dB linear amplifier that operates atfrequencies up to 1 GHz. The device can be used in a widevariety of cellular, CATV, military, and instrumentationequipment.The ADL5536 provides the highest dynamic range availablefrom an internally matched IF gain block. This is accomplishedby providing extremely low noise figures and very high OIP3specifications simultaneously across the entire 1 GHz frequencyrange. The ADL5541 provides a gain of 15 dB, which is stable over frequency, temperature, power supply, and from device to device. The device is internally matched to 50 ? with an input return loss of 10 dB or better up to 6 GHz. Only input/output ac coupling capacitors, power supply decoupling capacitors, and an external inductor are required for operation. The ADL5541 is fabricated on an InGaP HBT process and has an ESD rating of 1 kV (Class 1C). The device is packaged in a 3 mm ? 3 mm LFCSP that uses an exposed paddle for excellent thermal impedance. The ADL5541 consumes 90 mA on a single 5 V supply and is fully specified for operation from ?40?C to +85?C. A fully populated RoHS-compliant evaluation board is available. The LT3686 is a current mode PWM step-down DC/DC converter with an internal 1.2A power switch, packaged in 10-lead 3mm ? 3mm DFN. The wide input range of 3.6V to 37V makes the LT3686 suitable for regulating power from a wide variety of sources, including 24V industrial supplies and automotive batteries. Its high maximum frequency allows the use of tiny inductors and capacitors, resulting in a very small solution. Operating frequency above the AM band avoids interfering with radio reception, making the LT3686 particularly suitable for automotive applications.Cycle-by-cycle current limit and DA current sense provide protection against fault conditions. Soft-start and frequency foldback eliminate input current surge during start-up. An optional internal regulated active load at the output via the BD pin keeps the LT3686 at full switching frequency at light loads, resulting in low, predictable output ripple above the audio and AM bands. Internal compensation and an internal boost diode reduce external component count. The LTC4352 creates a near-ideal diode using an external N-channel MOSFET. It replaces a high power Schottky diode and the associated heat sink, saving power and board area. The ideal diode function permits low loss power ORing and supply holdup applications. The LTC4352 regulates the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET to ensure smooth current transfer in diode-OR applications. A fast turn-on reduces the load voltage droop during supply switch-over. If the input supply fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse currents. The controller operates with supplies from 2.9V to 18V. For lower voltages, an external supply is needed at the VCC pin. Power passage is disabled during undervoltage or overvoltage conditions. The controller also features an open MOSFET detect circuit that ?ags excessive voltage drop across the pass transistor in the on state. The ADR1399 precision shunt reference features excellent temperature stability over a wide range of voltage, temperature, and quiescent current conditions. A temperature stabilizing loop is incorporated with the active Zener on a monolithic? substrate, which nearly eliminates changes in voltage with temperature. The subsurface Zener circuit is fully specified at a quiescent current IREF of 3 mA and offers minimal noise (1.44 ?V p-p, 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz) and excellent long-term stability (7 ppm/?kHr). The ADR1399 offers a lower output dynamic impedance (0.08 ?) than the LM399, reducing the effects of shunt resistor (RSHUNT) and the supply voltage variation on the reference output.Ideal applications for the ADR1399 include ultrastable digital voltmeters, precision calibration equipment, and ultrarepeatable analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The simplicity of the basic pin configurations is shown in Figure 1. The 8-terminal LCC version offers force and sense pins for lower dynamic impedance and for Kelvin sensing. Table 1. Demonstration circuit SCP-LT3045-1-EVALZ is a 20V, 500mA Low Dropout (LDO) regulator designed best in class low noise operation in noise sensitive circuits. It is easily configured for a wide output range and can provide extremely quiet operation with its high PSRR.
Like all boards in the Signal Chain Power series, this board is designed to be easily plugged into other SCP boards to form a complete signal chain power system, enabling fast evaluation of low power signal chains. To evaluate this board, some universal SCP hardware is required, namely:
